With the exception of Erika Slezak and Robin Strasser, daytime no longer has any grande dames such as Lois Kibbee. That makes me sad. All we have now are soap harpies.
@@PRHILL9696 Funny thing though. The "faux Bo" was more sci fi and unrealistic than Eterna was. Not to say it wasn't a riveting plot, just very farfetched.
OLTL was smart to keep bringing actors like Jill Larson and Lois Kibbee back, and the man who played Jamie. I wouldn't mind seeing Jamie or Ursula again.
She was on for a while in the 80s and was in fact a huge part of the best story line in history! When Patrick London turned himself into Bo and fooling everyone for the longest time1
I agree with Asa that Bo has gotten soft in the head (and still is), especially after the unspeakable things that Elizabeth (and the fake Bo) did to their family, which resulted in the loss of Didi. I don't recall ever seeing Elizabeth again after this scene, probably because there was nothing more to say in the storyline, and I was glad to see Jamie and Ursula go. Phil Carey and Lois Kibbee were great actors and have been missed. The show could really use people like them now.
I never saw a follow-up to this scene. However the wikipedia for her character says "Elizabeth was freed thanks to Bo's testimony on her behalf as to preventing Jamie and his co-hort Ursula Blackwell from electrocuting Tina and left town after revealing that she had a terminal illness." so it makes me wonder if maybe she had a scene or two that got pre-empted.
Hey! Thank you for saying that. I loved the Sanders family . . . introduced in 1986. Jamie and the Crack ring and his lovely sister Kate (I loved her romance and wedding with Cord). I also enjoyed Elizabeth and Judith (she was awesome in the role) and her husband Charles. They were great I was disappointed that they didn't last longer on the show!
@@bombay3201 Yes, he was. I loved his intensity and stories that involved him. There wasn't enough in my opinion. I wish those characters had stayed around.
The soaps now seem to think that viewers like to see men who are cold and distant and who are abusive to women. That's the jumping off point. Who are these shows being written for? It makes me sad to see OLTL become this way because they had such strong women up to the late 90s.

Asa was the man.
They should’ve kept the Sanders on OLTL. They would’ve made great foils to the Buchanan Family.
Elizabeth seems like such an interesting character.
The story line with her Patrick turning into Bo was the best story in history!

@@paulmartin7705 True. but still my all time favorite
Asa at his finest😂

Patrick being Bo was the best storyline ever
Asa started the feud by stealing Elizabeth's company
She was the cause of Didi’s death.

Oltl should have kept the sanders family

I could stand the Sanders family except Jamie.. good bye and good riddance to Kate
Was this around the time that Asa had his Christmas Carol Scrooge episode?
