Painted up everything and played the first scenario. Amazing thematic experience. The intro game is to get you up to speed with the mechanics as it isn't too difficult. Can you believe Gorman actually drew the "You always were an a**hole Gorman." Event card. I played Gorman and Hicks as heroes and tried to barricade just about everything I could. Onto the next scenario. The expansions are on their way. Thanks again for this instructional play through, it helped hugely in getting things moving.
That is a great question. All the grunts activate each turn. after a hero activates they activate a grunt equal to their rank. So hick goes activates 2 grunts then Vasquez activates and then activates a grunt. After both heroes have activated then the last 2 grunts go and the highest ranking person has the final say as to what they do. So Hicks isn’t really activating them but gets the last word on what they do. Hope that makes sense I’ll explain that better in the next video. On turn 3, after Vasquez misses with her second attack action, you did not move the aim dial down to 5. Shouldn’t this have been done? So then if she gets attacked she has aim dial of 5...not 6 as stated.
@One Stop Co-op Shop I’ve seen many play thru’s on this mission and most of them miss a ton of stuff. The rule book is horrible. But your videos seem to have way less mistakes and explains things better than many out there. Good job👍🏼

@@OneStopCoopShop I got all three games in a couple weeks ago. Just got done painting core minis plus the queen and Ripley loader. Also got assets and hazards a while back. You may have a rough time trying to find the expansions because I think most stores sold out pretty quickly on the second reprint that just came in from GF9. And I have heard they have no plans for another reprint in the near future. It’s a shame because it seems like a very popular game and sells out quicker than they can make it. Going to start the first mission finally tonight.
2 questions: 1) Do aliens that spawn right next to a marine after a motion tracker event immediately attack that marine, or do they have to wait until the next alien phase? 2) What happens to a knocked-down character when another alien is next to it and takes its turn? Is that character killed or kidnapped? Is a character only killed when you roll a 10 on a defense roll? In all other cases they are kidnapped?
Those are great questions. The first one aliens only attack during the first two phases of the aliens phase. The third phase when motion tracker cards are drawn they don’t attack even if they move or spawn adjacent to a marine. The second question from what I understand they will will still attack a downed marine, but not until the start of the next alien phase will the marine be taken away. I just finished playing the Newt mission and made quite some mistakes too 😊 One question: do doors open when you pass them or only when you end your move in front of them? I think they only open when you end your move in front off them but I might be wrong.
Thank you. The doors open anytime you are adjacent to them. You don’t have to stop your movement as you move to them. They are on issue with LOS. That’s the biggest thing. Thanks for the great question and thanks for watching 😃😃👍

The aim dials should be integral to the character cards to reduce the fiddliness.

Isn’t playing an endurance card part of an action for a character? I see you take 2 actions with Hicks (move and shoot) and then you play a card.
From what I understand endurance cards are a free action. And also most can be played at anytime hope that helps thanks for the great question 😃😃👍

Does it depends on the number of characters or the number of players how many motion tracker cards do you draw during the alien phase?
The cards drawn is determined by the number of players. Solo and 2 player draw 2 each 3 and up one each. 😃😃👍
