I’m all for wider shade range and exact matches but it really did used to be so much easier just to be like “close enough” without an entire art degree to figure out what color to slap on our faces anymore.

Got sample @ Sephora, color match is great. More cool tone even though I’m not cool. I’m 69 yrs. Of age w/textured skin, dry skin with large pores around nose & cheek area. Formula is beautiful, easy to blend with great coverage. Luv you tutorials!
I have mature aging dry skin. I have no pores but have some wrinkles around the eyes. I was not going to try this foundation until a you tube mature dry skin person tried it and loved it. So I bit the bullet. I LOVE this foundation. I purchased 160 due to suggestion of their website. I like the color but it is not a true match. It is doable and I will purchase a neutral color before winter. What I have now has a light peach tone. This foundation goes on like a dream with brush or sponge. It does not settle in wrinkles or fine lines. It has a natural glow to it. It makes the skin look better than it is. I get more compliments on my skin when I wear this foundation. It covers any texture areas extremely well. I have other foundations that I like to rotate. But since wearing this foundation, I can not stop wearing it. There is no rotation going on. Surprisingly this has become my holy grail. I do not think much of celebrity make up and did not want to like this. But I must say this is one beautiful foundation for aging skin. The only down side is the color matching. I agree that their tones are very different.

I have the 260 which is a tiny bit too dark. And the next shade lighter is 190 which is a tiny bit too light. So I bought both and mix them. I don't usually like to mix. But I love this foundation so I will make exceptions. Both 190 light and 260 light-medium have olive undertones.
I love skin care and very interested in the Why’s and How’s of using them so thank you for explaining the steps. Also LOVE this foundation and I have mature skin and it’s looks amazing and not heavy especially since you can even apply with just my hands if I don’t want to much coverage and the Arnica is so helpful for redness or hyperpigmentation! The whole Haus Labs line is so good! Thanks for the video😊

SO reassuring that even a professional has an off day color matching 😂 I worked at Home Depot, paint dept. and it helped me tons with color, undertones, color correcting - but I still sit in wonder of my olive/medium/green skin tone 😅 I loved seeing your full skincare routine!
The struggle is real! Sephora had me in every undertone for a year until one mua pegged me as a neutral olive leaning warm 🤷🏽♀️. It works so it’s easier now knowing where to start but the problem is my skin tone is medium-deep. Too many companies skip the lightest shades and the medium-deep shades.
Omg I’m so going to pick up the foundation now! Can’t believe how gorgeous it was at the end of the day. I was also confused with the option because neutral didn’t look right on me (I only searched a few shades)
I have prettty dry skin, minimal problems other than that and i LOVE this. It is my absolute favorite out of everything i own. Its so buttery silky and nothing else looks like this imo.
Hi Nikki! I love your videos and you have really thought me to be more confident with my beginner makeup skills. I tried this foundation on my dry & sensitive skin (eczema) and love it. I recieved so many compliments on how it looks so beautiful on my skin. I do find that this foundation oxides quite a lot and had to exchange my 325 shade to 310 (which is my winter shade).

It actually helps to see your skin prep before makeup. Idk what products to use bc sometimes the makeup pills or separates (and idk if it’s the makeup or the fact that it’s not compatible w my skincare) almost as soon as I’m done applying. Super frustrating!
I have unproblematic but very oily skin and I originally was really loving this foundation. I had it for a week and it didn’t last well, I was oily in 2-3 hours.I thought it did look a little too much like makeup when set too. I then tried the Patrick Ta and found it way more skin like so I returned this. Love the Patrick Ta as I feel it just enhances the complexion without masking it. I love Giorgio Armani luminous silk also. That’s a staple in my collection I just added. I was sleeping on it lol. Your skin looks amazing with it. I think it could be a beautiful formula for many just wasn’t for me.
Oh my goodness this foundation is beautiful on you! But, I think all foundations are beautiful on you. On the truthful side I don’t even think you need foundations. You’re blessed with beauty 💕❤️💕

I literally just got this foundation today and wondered why a warm tone was my match when I am cool toned. Your explanation was so helpful! I've only had the foundation on for an hour, but I love the look so far! My skin is heavily textured, oily, with large pores, and some dry areas - so the whole bad skin shebang 😃. I'm hoping this foundation stays nicely put all day!
@KBA I believe it did? I ended up returning it after a couple of tries. I know the reviews on it are pretty good. It looked beautiful on me at first, but I have some super dry patches that, by the end of the day, stood out a lot (like the foundation didn't last). I don't know if it would have been better with a different primer or because my skin just sucks 🤪, but it's worth a try, I think. It really was a nice foundation; it just didn't work for my skin. The only foundation I have tried so far that works for me is the IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better.

@KBA I actually have oily skin, BUT, as I get older, I have fine lines and a couple of dry spots that remain no matter how much serum and moisturizer I use. I tried a NARS foundation recently, but it didn't cover well enough for my liking. I prefer medium to full coverage, with the ability to build up the foundation. That's why I like the IT Cosmetics foundations. It has never made me break out. I also liked the Too Faced Born This Way, but the shades I have are a little warm on me (I'm light, cool toned). I loved the Kosas foundation when I tried samples, but again, it didn't last on my skin. But the coverage was nice! Also, the IT Cosmetics tinted moisturizer was nice! If you're looking for something light.

Nikki I’m the same way with my skincare. I keep my routine/ type of products the same just change the products themselves. I have combo skin (oilier in summer dry in winter) but besides getting excited for new products I noticed my skin would get accustomed to the products and the full effects stop working. I recently received the serum and moisturizer from Susan’s brand can’t wait to try them now!
Yes! Glad I’m not the only one! And totally agree my skin get used to using the exact same formulas, I feel like it’s the same with hair care and shampoos. That’s awesome you received some products from naturium, you are going to LOVE them!!
I was at Sephora yesterday and initially thought my my color was the 280 light/med neutral. When I swatched it, it was too dark, so naturally went down to 200, which is also labeled light/med neutral. Got a sample, came home and it looks too yellow on me, almost jaundice. I'm so confused with the color matches.....The foundation looks fantastic on you. I think the trick to this is less is more. I will test again tomorrow and put 1/2 the amount that I used today and see if that makes a difference.
Same here… I took 200 as it looked like a good colour match but the foundation oxidises and gets lighter. It’s also too yellow and strangely too light for me.
I’m combo dry with some texture and I’m really liking this. My color sample I have is off but I keep wanting to use it. This makes my face feel soft it is long lasting on my skin. Love it and will continue to use it!
I have been doing skin care for very long time now and I have never put my serum around my eyes at all. I always thought it would not be safe. I’m going to give it a try with the two serums. I use both morning and night.

I loved what you said about skin care: that you try a lot of products and get bored with some. Same, girl. I love to try various skin essences, toners, serums, etc., as much as I love trying different makeup. Try some Korean sunscreens. They’re great.

I just recently bought this foundation and I almost returned it. I love the fresh look right after application so much, but the first few days when I tried it just doesn't wear well. At the end of the day, the foundation was just gone. I don't usually use the that much powder over foundation so I initially didn't. Then I tried wearing it with a light layer of pressed powder over the haus labs foundation, and it wore AMAZINGLY. It looked georgious by the 8th hour after wearing it without touch ups at all, so I'm definitely keeping it.
I want to get haus labs foundation and concealer. Will you be doing another update with more shades? I would say I’m your shade twin but I don’t want to make the wrong choice but I don’t want to get two. Xx
I love it too and I’m 60! I live in South Carolina lots of heat and humidity but it looks great at the end of the day……not as pretty as you of course but everything I want covered (dark spots) is still covered Now I want to try the concealer that just came out! I thought I loved it but you just validated me Thanks 💋
I'm giving my feedback since you requested it in your video :) I had high hopes for this foundation but because I have problematic skin, it didnt work out for me :( I have large pores in specific areas, dry forehead, and very oily T-zone. It blended on beautifully and everything was all good, but by the end of the day, it got very oily in my T zone, sank into my pores, and most importantly it made my fine lines in my forehead accentuated when I raise my eyebrows, which literally I've never had before, with any other foundation. I was pretty shocked by this result! It also made my skin feel more dry/tight overall. Hope this feedback helped! thanks for the content.
Estee lauder double wear is matte and doesn't budge, more long wearing. Whereas this foundation is more hydrating and if you touch your face it will come off.
Even though you have gorgeous skin, this foundation still has to stack up to others on YOUR skin. Thank you for another great video. I purchased this product the day prior to seeing this video… Fingers crossed…
I am really interested in videos with new foundations as at my age of 33 I don't have that good foundation for me. I always used Estee Lauder double wear but with shade match I am not 100% happy, so I am happy to see reviews on new ones, and with my skin type, sensitive acne and dry is way more difficult to find the perfect foundation...

Im wearing this foundation right now. I always thought I had oily skin but the woman at Sephora said I had dry skin. Im sure shes right because my nose always itches even though I moisturize. I bought shade 130. It’s my new favorite foundation. I do have acne prone skin
Hi Nikki, Thankyou for another great and honest review. I enjoyed the skin care routine also! Your skin looked amazing in this foundation (but then your skin looks great in anything! My skin is very similar to yours but I do have some slightly larger pores around my chin area and sides of nose ( which can be challenging at times-for me) and tend to get a bit dehydrated during the fall and winter months. I'm def interested in this foundation and do intend to pick it up next week.

I have been doing skin care for very long time now and I have never put my serum around my eyes at all. I always thought it would not be safe. I’m going to give it a try with the two serums. I use both morning and night.

I loved what you said about skin care: that you try a lot of products and get bored with some. Same, girl. I love to try various skin essences, toners, serums, etc., as much as I love trying different makeup. Try some Korean sunscreens. They’re great.

I just recently bought this foundation and I almost returned it. I love the fresh look right after application so much, but the first few days when I tried it just doesn't wear well. At the end of the day, the foundation was just gone. I don't usually use the that much powder over foundation so I initially didn't. Then I tried wearing it with a light layer of pressed powder over the haus labs foundation, and it wore AMAZINGLY. It looked georgious by the 8th hour after wearing it without touch ups at all, so I'm definitely keeping it.

Yesterday I tried a cool swatch in Sephora and it looked orange so I agree it’s definitely a challenge to find right shade

I live in South Carolina lots of heat and humidity but it looks great at the end of the day……not as pretty as you of course but everything I want covered (dark spots) is still covered

I'm giving my feedback since you requested it in your video :) I had high hopes for this foundation but because I have problematic skin, it didnt work out for me :( I have large pores in specific areas, dry forehead, and very oily T-zone. It blended on beautifully and everything was all good, but by the end of the day, it got very oily in my T zone, sank into my pores, and most importantly it made my fine lines in my forehead accentuated when I raise my eyebrows, which literally I've never had before, with any other foundation. I was pretty shocked by this result! It also made my skin feel more dry/tight overall. Hope this feedback helped! thanks for the content.

Estee lauder double wear is matte and doesn't budge, more long wearing. Whereas this foundation is more hydrating and if you touch your face it will come off.

I am really interested in videos with new foundations as at my age of 33 I don't have that good foundation for me. I always used Estee Lauder double wear but with shade match I am not 100% happy, so I am happy to see reviews on new ones, and with my skin type, sensitive acne and dry is way more difficult to find the perfect foundation...

Omg I noticed the exact same thing with the undertones of this foundation. I thought in Sephora I had it right and then I got home questioning what was happening! I’m going to have to get another shade

Im wearing this foundation right now. I always thought I had oily skin but the woman at Sephora said I had dry skin. Im sure shes right because my nose always itches even though I moisturize. I bought shade 130. It’s my new favorite foundation. I do have acne prone skin

Hi Nikki, Thankyou for another great and honest review. I enjoyed the skin care routine also! Your skin looked amazing in this foundation (but then your skin looks great in anything! My skin is very similar to yours but I do have some slightly larger pores around my chin area and sides of nose ( which can be challenging at times-for me) and tend to get a bit dehydrated during the fall and winter months.
I'm def interested in this foundation and do intend to pick it up next week.
I think the foundation is a great match!
