INGREDIENTS
For the syrup:
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
For the jars:
- 6-10 lb peaches (small to medium in size), peeled, pitted, and placed in water to prevent browning
INSTRUCTIONS
- Place water, honey, lemon juice in a kettle on the stove and bring to a simmer. While the syrup is heating, place peach halves in sterilized quart jars in a stacked tile pattern to help them fit better. Do not push them in!
- Once the jars are filled, pour boiling syrup over each. Divide evenly among jars, leaving ½ inch of headspace. If the syrup does not fully fill each jar, top each with boiling water, leaving ½ inch headspace. Fit with lids and rings, following manufacturer’s instructions, and place in a boiling water bath for 20 minutes.
- Once completed, place jars on a cooling rack or towel and leave with rings on for 24 hours to ensure a good seal. If a jar does not seal, simply place it in the refrigerator and enjoy eating!

Love your canning videos. You explain everything so well and are so full of enthusiasm!!! Thank you.
LOVE THIS!!!! Thank you for sharing your story about peaches. Our trees were loaded this year too. I hope to give your honey addition a try this year. Thank you for all you do!
Peaches are my favorite. I haven't tried canning them before. You made it look so simple and I can't wait to try this out.
peaches are my favourite fruit for pies, jam, cobblers, etc. Can't get enough of them!

Canning peaches for the first time this year, this video came just in time!
I love that glass funnel you use. it's sooo cute! and i was waiting for the popping sound 😆💜
Wow, canning has always intimidated me, but you made it so easy to do. I get Georgia peaches by the bushel, every year and this year, I will can some. Thanks!
Well after watching your canning videos, I just put canning accessories on my Christmas list for this year!
Absolutely love your channel and your content!!! Thank you!!! Can you provide information about your stove? Would look wonderful in our newly renovated kitchen.
Peaches and ice cream are the best. Thank you for showing how to can them.
I used this technique and my husband love the results. I highly recommend this way.
Great job on teaching
Your videographer is really good! Love the close ups. 🍑 looks good!
Loving the videos. Have you thought about adding a freeze dryer to your preservation technics?
I can peaches every year …the best in peach jam. Aaaahgggg sooo good!
I should try this. We love to eat peaches in the winter time. Yum.
My Irish grandmother , was a stickler watching like a hawk when peeling potatoes .
Just bought peaches today. They need a bit of ripening and then I can't wait to can them!!!!
I'm canning my own Peaches this year. My tree is about 4 years old. Last year it had small peaches nothing good. This year it was loaded with big beautiful peaches. I got to pick them before the Squirrels got too many. 😆
My Mom taught me to put 1 peach pit in the bottom of the jar plus she added a teaspoon or 2 of real almond flavoring to the syrup. So good!
Plus she would only use Elberta peaches, I like Suncrests.
My mother in law taught me how to can. She canned everything, tastes so much better than store bought.
You are awesome thank you 🙏🏻 for
I was never taught to can and always wanted too. Would you do a few videos on canning? Blackberries or less sugar jam perhaps?
I just canned my peaches yesterday, I also use honey syrup
Peaches are my favorite 😋
I love this syrup. The sugar recipe is why to sweet. Could I use less honey? Hope Kipp is doing well! 🌹
What I do is drop the peach in boiling water for 30-60 seconds and then drop it in ice water. More ice than water. The peel literally slips off no issue.
It’s called blanching. Works very well.
Peels can be used for tea
@@mnp870 how do you make tea with the skins?
Yummy!!!!!
Thank ypou
I love canned peaches. Do you ever fix the pickled peaches? They are so good.
Yummy mmm
Peaches was my first canning try. The film was clear and I didn't see it on the rim. But it was there. Only two of my bottles sealed out of 23... I wipe ever rim with hot water on a paper towel; every bottle has sealed since 1984😁
Decided to seaonh peaches on youtube after watching the Mario movie until I found one that's actually about Peaches. Congrats you win I guess, thanks for spreading knowlege about "peaches peaches peaches peaches peaches OH I LOVE YOuuu OH!" - Jack Black
Please tell me why you didn't pressure cook them like you did the green beans?
Can the peaches be canned in slices instead.of halfs
1st 😁 Hello Kaleb and Kip!💕💕💕💕💕
How much water and honey?
Does the honey keep it from being sickly sweet?
Nothing like that smell. My grandmother canned peaches every year and then in January, there they were.
NOTHING is better than a good peach that's been ripened on the tree!!
Do you need a special canner? Or can u use a regular pot? Can the jars sit on the bottom of the pan or must they be raised up?
I hope your questions were answered. A towel in the bottom of the pot will do in a pinch. At Walmart you can buy an inexpensive expandable silicone trivet for the water canning pot. Any deep sturdy pot that will allow a minimum of 1” water over the top of the jar for the entire recommended processing time( 2” is better) and a good fitting lid.
💕💕
The water bath times for a few altitudes would have been nice.... I am at 1200 feet
😋
You never gave measurements for honey or time for WB peaches. But they looked good.
He put the measurements on the description bar below.
I think I missed how long you let the filled up jars boil…?
