I don’t eat sugar for more than a year now and I am still alive and healthy. Eat more fruits and vegetables and good meat. Coffee and tea without sugar at all…. I feel better every single day and exercise 3 times a week 👍👍👍

No processed foods
If you're eating fruits and veggies, you're eating carbs. Nearly everything has calories. Is your comment sarcastic perhaps?!
Fruits and vegetables have good cards. The natural one. You have to pick the better ones, which have more antioxidants, fiber, and nutrients. Also healthy nuts like almonds, apricots and walnuts. Read the ingredients when you buy the food. Drink pH water. Carrots, beets, pineapple, and apricots are great sources to bring down inflammation. Pain in my body has gone down considerably. Thank God for providing the nutrients our bodies need to heal and thrive 🙏

Bugs nibbling on plants to make them grow better, more polyphenols….it’s like parenting. When I nib at my kids, nag them, they’ll grow better, stronger, more resilient. I’m the bug. ❤
Children are not plants. Nagging them will make them hate you. You need to learn some good childrearing techniques. Children need inspiration to be their best, not nagging. Don’t be a nagging person. Be a positive role model.
Love them by discipline and teach and show them the consequences of bad choices. Love is guiding them and instructing them in the right direction. God bless the parents who have kids. It is not an easy task.

I like this channel because dr Rupy is kind, caring and humble. He always put the book of the person interviewed on the screen, to promote the books. That is what the viewers want and what the person interviewed want.
Some other interviewers only talk briefly at the end about the book of the person interviewed, or they even talk about their own book!!

My 8 doctors in two years (never been to doctors before this, and always healed holistically until my blood pressure went up the first time at 63 in 2020) and these people are drones, they are big pharma drug pushes. I so appreciate people like you educating all of us. I've only drank water since 1991.
Sugar hides in stuff, I found some hiding in my jar of Peanut butter. 😉 Also why do we have to pay more for sugar free stuff! Should it not be no sugar, pay less.😂 😂😂😂
Food industry and big pharma work together. Peanut jar content has to be tasty in order to satisfy people taste buds to make profit. Excess sugar makes us sick sonBig Pharma comes into the picture with medicine to make profit.
Logical of course however the base ingredients of interest makes up a small amount of the mass. Can't make high profits without making the bulk with refined sugars, starches, etc...
The sugar has to be replaced with another non sugar sweetener which possibly could cost more than sugar.
Common sense yes

630am. Dr li has been a fabulous inspiration. At 87am still learning to improve healthy eating habits. My persimmon tree is beginning to now have a bountiful crop that I am anxious to add new and exciting recipes. Thank you
Monk fruit sweetener is always mixed with Erythritol - haven’t heard much thought on this .
You can still get the benefits of red wine in a non-alcoholic version
Just eat the red grapes.
In order to get the benefits of the resveratrol in red wine, you would have to drink 40 liters daily.

I always thought the "normal" suggestions were way off: males can have up to three drinks per day? That means I can drink 21 vodka tonics per week and still be within the safe guidelines? That's ridiculous.

The chocolate I used to eat contains soy lectins and always bothered my stomach. After changing vendors I no longer have stomach issues when eating chocolate.

For myself I could never go months without drinking any coffee, many teas or milk, or eating (some) cheeses and spices, any nuts, fruit, vegetables, grains, seeds, or herbs : so it seems I assumed wrongly that you had not either. I apologise.
I don't eat refined sugar and this means I avoid all highly processed food but do eat sugar in all of the above, as it occurs naturally in them.
It's not sugar, it's glucose that every single cell in your body uses for energy. Your body will get it from carbs, but if you don't eat carbs, your body will make glucose via either glycogenolysis or, gluconeogenisis. The traditional Inuit diet has no carbs, it's fat. Their body makes the glucose

Hi Michael! In my younger days I would feel that way how about the brain connection. I drink so seldomly now I don't really have that desire anymore for the alcohol. I love the taste of non-alcoholic Heineken and the health benefits from non-alcoholic red wine

FYI: many cardiologists say that coffee does not trigger afib. Many studies support this.

In regards to organic, let’s talk about all the horrendous chemicals that are used in traditional farming, they are carcinogenic. I will always choose organic and NON GMO
I'm a fan of the MIND (Mediterranean + DASH) diet which encourages the use of a 5oz glass of wine daily. I appreciate the discussion about alchool minimum use. My question would be if there is any beneficial use of alchool due to its interactions with other foods that are also encouraged in that specific diet.
There are wild native persimmons here in MO. We harvest them and besides eating them fresh, we make cookies and bread with them.

just found out that big pharma pays about 80% of medical school costs. I doubt that they will allow a lot of nutrition courses in med school anytime soon. Money talks....
With big pharma underwriting 80% of medical school costs doctors in training are going to be taught to use drugs as their primary method of treatment. There are not going to be many courses on nutrition or prevention of illness.
I agree. In one of Dr Li’s iTunes, I think with Jim Kwik, he states healthcare is up to us too. Thank goodness we can do so much ourselves between appointments and for me just being aware or cautious about prescriptions.

Legumes and soy I have read cause inflammation. As well as chick peas ? I’ve tried to find a diet to help inflammation and combat Hashimoto’s thyroiditis
What about using organic soy milk to make a coffee latte would you still get those great benefits of drinking black coffee?
If you want organic grow your own ! You can’t even trust all farmers markets . Start a kitchen garden or garden towers. - you can get organic nutrients for hydroponic gardening

According to most doctors I should be dead, I drank 1 pint of hard liquor rum with my supper for 30 years but at age 69 got AFIB so I quit.
Interesting. You’re a lucky one. I got fatty liver disease from no alcohol! I’d hate to see where’d I’d be if I had added alcohol to my lifestyle. Good for you for quitting. That’s hard with any addiction or just changing what you’ve been doing if you weren’t addicted! For me it’s cane sugar.. I can’t have one bite

I used to be addicted to coffee as well. It is a mild drug. So if you give it up completely you may get withdrawal symptons. FRUIT is amazing ❤❤❤

Persimmon is rarely available where l live. It is not ripe when you buy it. It can shrivel up before it gets ripe unfortunately. Caci fruit is another name for it.

Non alcoholic beers taste very close to the real thing nowadays, it si constantly being improved too. What's missing is the reward our brains expect after swallowing the liquids.
Like many other listeners, PLEASE make these videos shorter and get to the main points and info alot more quickly Most of these videos could be done in 20 min. Is there a point of pay off if you creat such lengthy talks with a lot of filler?
