      Can I make a recommendation for the plugin? Can there be a history feature with the randomiser setting? I feel that could be useful if when randomizing, you come across this cool chain effect but accidentally hit the randomiser again and thus loose the chain.

    Any DDJ-FLX6 users in here?? If any of you have used the DJ board with the “big blue knob” then you’ll know where I’m going with this… It’s essentially the “Transition Control” knob for your decks. You push it in and it triggers multiple transition fx at once and as you turn the knob they increase in intensity until you click it again to fade out and then cue up your next track.
    They essentially took this very same unique feature and packages it into a VST. Not complaining, I love it! Just wanted to share some insight 😉

    Bought this almost immediately. Such an essential time saver for transitions and NOT to be overlooked as just an insert FX block. Using this in Bitwig and modulating the various parameters is so convenient. Quick tip - at first I was taken aback by how much gain some of the presets add, but then realised there is a utility module that can be added in one of the slots, and that can be linked to the macro control to compensate for the volume gain very nicely. The curve controls are a touch of genius too, and add so much additional control. Kudos Andrew and Baby Audio!

    I've just purchased it and, well, I have to say, it is a bit of a game-changer. I've applied to the full mix of works in progress just to experiment and it has been really excellent. It becomes a kind of audio glue for accentuating brief transitions before, say, a bass line drops in or a drum fill or even when I want the whole song to stop dead - tape stop? - for a nano second. Really nice.

      @mcoley84 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      My thoughts too. I think the cool thing for me is that I probably wouldn't have thought of setting this up in Bitwig, even though it's very doable. It's also nice to have a set of effects hand picked by a producer whose opinion I trust and value. I'm with you though, I freaking love the modular nature of Bitwig. Probably my favorite thing about it! 💙

    • @PaulEubanks
      @PaulEubanks ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mcoley84 It was my first thought too. It's pretty superfluous if you already use Bitwig since all this is built-in and easily done, and not just limited to the "knob" modulator, or the plugin's built-in effects. Maybe it's better used in legacy DAWs?

    • @hoangminhnguyen4800
      @hoangminhnguyen4800 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@PaulEubanks i think many daws has its own version of a "canvas" type custom plugin solution but from my experience most are quite cumbersome. the limitation is actually is strength of not having to setup things from scratch and not being lost between too many choices though, so unless you are really comfortable with designing your patches, imo even some bitwig users will benefit from using this

    • @PaulEubanks
      @PaulEubanks ปีที่แล้ว

      @@hoangminhnguyen4800 It's literally no different doing it in a self-contained plugin like this than it is doing it in an FX container using Bitwig's unified modulation system, or using Ableton's effects racks with one-knob macro controls. You can save either as a preset, so that's a moot point. Hell even Logic Pro has "smart controls" available as macro knobs for automating effects chain params in the exact same way. I'm not understanding what you mean by "cumbersome" here, you're doing the exact same thing, maybe with less clicks even. I'll bet Cubase and Reaper also have equivalents. Are you saying this is for Pro Tools users who don't have similar functionality as part of the DAW already? Because outside that I'm hard pressed to understand who the audience for this is.

      I feel like some of the more interesting things you can do require multiple instances of the plugin.
      Cause you could have one instance that builds the sound until the halfway point, while a second one is building a different set of sounds that keeps growing until the end, stuff like that.

      @@andrewhuang Transit seems unbelievable useful because like you said in the video “it allows for better work flow.” I definitely am buying your plugin because I thank you once again for being a musician and producer that really cares and values music and the process and has used your platform and opportunities to create very useful, intuitive tools just like Flip and now Transit. We really appreciate that you are creating products for the modern day producer and songwriter and honestly I hope to one day have way more music to show how much knowledge and information I’ve gained from learning your music theory courses, your production courses, seeing “Weird Gear” opening my eyes to new sounds I’d never hear without you showing, and learning from you how to make literally any sound into music.(the first video I watched by you was “Making music out of Pokémon sounds” around when it came out). You’ve been a very influential part of my journey as a musician and I hope once again I can make something powerful enough that you see the effects of your teaching. Thank you for being the modern day music day music teacher for all of us. I can say with complete sincerity without people like you in the world the majority modern day bedroom producer would be wayyyyyyyyy far behind and owe a lot to people like you giving use the luxury the learn from a free and extremely talented source. Thank you.

    I like it on a send when I want the original track to keep sounding the same, so it doesn't affect the volume of the original sound. Dry-wet at 50% still turns down original track volume. I guess it makes sense, because you probably want 100% to match the original volume of the track. Then keep Transit Control at 100% and just automate the send volume when needed. Thanks for making transitions easier to do, more fun, and creative!

    Very useful sounding little gadget. Around 9:59 the drums sound very similar to something I did with a hand manipulated Digital Delay Guitar Pedal maybe 25 years ago. Ran my Drum Machine through the Guitar Pedal & worked the controls in tempo by hand as I recorded a Drum Track. Mucho fun & got a really good track. Still sounds modern. Kinda like back in the days when you would put your finger onto the tape and get a rudimentary Flanger.

    I have to say that looks really good and positioning it as primarily a transition tool (which can be used for other things) sets it apart from the other multi-effects plugins which are primarily LFO based but could be used for transitions. I'm sure I'll demo this as it looks like an interesting take and also very intuitive.

    I cannot express just how impressive this is. and this is just the debut of this plugin. i look forward to what could be implemented in future modules (just spitballing here but maybe throw in a reverse or even a live reverse, like with lookahead for a certain x number of bars so the reverse would be in place when you play it back) this is more than a transition plugin, it's a sound design swiss army knife

    Knocked it out of the park on this one. Just got it, had to see for myself. Its awesome! Not only for transitions, I've run some scenarios, using it like a simplified Infiltrator using Bitwigs step and MSEG's. I like infiltrator, hate the interface. This and shaper box 3 gets the job done for me even though I could potentialy replicate all of this in bitwig using modulators, this is a very well laid out plugin that has a ton of use cases for creative/multi-FX. After watching this video, I already know how to do everything and have been messing around for like 20 mins, really going deep. Thats the definition of a good plugin, useability. So....thank you.

    YES!!! THANK YOU!!! I have spent so much time automating FX parameters and manually writing out and copy/pasting transitions for multiple vst FX chains, I have been needing something like this for a while.
    I've been wanting to really up my production and also add more EDM elements my music was lacking, such as risers and drops, and something like this can help me do all of that easily. Not to mention how it can also let me condense my synth and midi drum processing down so that I don't have 20 different VST's all going across my synth tracks.
    This might also help when I need to add transitions and automation on guitar tracks without my PC taking a preformance hit at all the information being processed while being automated.
    I can't wait to use this on future production and processing.

    Macro knobs are obviously nothing new in Ableton (I built a rack that’s basically a janky version of transit), but this accomplishes the same thing in a way that’s so much more intuitive and flexible, not to mention visually communicative. If Ableton were to ever partner with a developer like Baby to design their GUI it would be a game changer.

  • @nkozi
    @nkozi ปีที่แล้ว

    Made what was previously a daw-specific workaround (I'm sure I'm not the only one with a few purpose-built Live racks/fx chains) for these things into a single interface. Hell yeah dude.
