33279 thats the 3m wool pad once you try it you cant go back. It uses the quick connect adapter. Give it a shot for compounding.

Excellent and informative video. I was just given a Aquasport 225 that sat behind the North Naples Country Club for years. It literally had a tree growing in it. Decals are almost all removed, wet sanding next 🤙

Great video, thank you. Do you sand across the gelcoat that has "grip"? walking areas, that are not smooth gelcoat...if that makes sense.
No we don’t, only buffing and polishing
Truly remarkable results! I noticed you used both the orange and purple foam/wool pads during the polishing, do you have a preference of when to use one VS the other?
We did 2 steps of polishing on this boat to ensure the surface was fully restored and corrected for an excellent bond with the ceramic coating. Very important on older boats
How much level r did you end up using for this job?
I don’t remember exactly. Less than a gallon but close to it
So with wet sanding, if my boat is a teal color and milky white is coming off while wet sanding is that all oxidation? And I’m wanting to wet sand until it stops being milky correct? Just haven’t actually saw the color of my boat on the pad yet after sanding..
Yes that’s correct. The milkly white, red, blue, etc is oxidation. Once the oxidation is fully removed it will turn clear, just like water. At that point you are cutting gelcoat. You want an extremely light color or clear water on your last step!
How many man hours (ex: 2 guys 50 hours is 100 actual working hours) did this actually take you to do in it’s entirety? From the first piece of sand paper to the final wipe?
180 hours from wet sand to ceramic booster.
