Imagine if Simp actually got to play 8:19 "checkmate in 1" just blundering his queen for no reason since the king gets to capture as it's a rim to rim move Edit: 9:02 I didn't finish the video yet lol
Hey that "you reveal I reveal" was actually me! I remember that match, I absolutely hated my drawback there 😂 in hindsight I shouldn't have opened my white diagonal like a paid actor
That actually blunders a queen as well, because the king is in a mating net and the only way to not lose is by blocking the check with the queen (where it can well, get captured by the pawn)
@brainha5747 that doesnt blunder a queen. Opponent has king d2. Then simps queen probably can never get back opponents king side. This isolates simps bishop which will run out of moves or be taken. Without the bishop opponent king can safely retreat to the king side. simps rooks and knight sit the whole game out as his queen runs out of moves. I don't see a pawn break that could save the position
Simp blundered the game at 6:32 but the opponent just, didn't see. If they took the Rook then Simp would be forced to move the F pawn and expose the King, then the Queen could capture with another move from rim to rim.
Interesting that in the last Drawback run, Simp accidentally gaslight his last opponent due to a mouseslip. Here he got gaslighted because the opponent ignores the early hanging rook (even if the opponent reveal later on that he can do rim-to-rim move in 8:38 with his bishop)
5:28 That pre-move was actually pretty bold, since he could have moved his King into check elsewhere, like C5. I'm sure victory wouldn't be far with that setup, but it does technically give him a chance.
Third game: the bishop moved from rim to rim a couple moves before the queen capture. I'm not sure if the opponent was trying to lull you into a mistake with the earlier queen move or misunderstood its own drawback.
Simp thought his opponent would take his rook with their queen earlier in the game and since they didn't, he assumed they weren't able to. You'd think with all those 100 rated games he'd have learnt by now not to underestimate his opponent's ability to blunder.
@@aspzx queen not taking the rook earlier is a fucking brilliant move lol, last video Simp was so excited when he successfully baited his opponent who didn't understand his drawback, now he got karma lol
He moved his bishop from one edge of the board to the other, "breaking the rules" as you had interpreted them, but you didnt even realize and just said "that blunders a bishop"
With that last game it unfortunately states that you can start and stop on the rim. The King could take because the move both started and ended on the rim. Why they never took the rook with their queen I don't know, it might be the other tiles in the way, it might have been a blunder. Either way, the King was in the outside, moving to the outside.
Or mind games to hope for a better play later. Rooks aren't super useful when they can be prevented from moving by not attacking them, and they wanted their queen active to cause chaos with simp's drawback. But yeah probably just tunnel vision.
Imagine reading "You can make moves that start and stop on the rim" and thinking that a move that starts on one edge of the board and ends on a different edge of the board is not "stopping and starting on the rim".
3:06 For all the people saying he missed the free knight, not only did he miss it but he also blundered knight d6 checkmate in one because his king can't move and he can't capture the knight as it's on a red square, but the opponent is a paid actor
Ive won on devil on your shoulder against the bot with a very easy drawback Also you blunderd your quees she can take and then you have to move your pawn and you lose
Opponent: Chooses not to take a rook that isn't doing anything Simp: It must be IMPOSSIBLE for him to take it! I'll base my entire strategy around this one fatal flaw!
There is only one "rim" on the board, so there's no such thing as moving from one rim to another - your interpretation would make sense if the drawback said "board edge" or something.
SIMP GOT BAITEEEEEEEEDDDDDD His opponent got hum to believe the rule worked one way when it actually didn't and LOST HIS QUEEEEEN WITH A SIMP MOVE NO LESS
Before I watch the rest of the video, I just want to say thank you to Simp for the positive rule change. We the viewers must not fail to show our appreciation when he finally does the things we want.
whaaat I thought the catch will be that "rims" are considered only the a- and h- file, not the 1st and 8th rank (i.e. the opponent will be able to infiltrate his back rank and capture the king there...). I did not expect the other thing to be true that the 1st and 8th rank are considered rims and the opponent will capture that...
4:42 That's interesting. So the devil doesn't account for the opponents drawback (even though they revealed it) when suggesting bad moves. It's just using the normal chess engine I guess.
Oppo tricks Simp by not taking the Queen, givin him the perception to fully understand the rim to rim draw back! 200 iq move, 8:52 U KNOW NOTHING SIMP SNOW!
3:09 He was threatening Nd6+ though and you cannot capture the horsey due to the rules. Fortunately, the oponent didn't see that. Spoiler alert! Edit: okay, the oponent's drawback wouldn't let him capture the king anyway. Too bad Simp resigned that early, I think he still could've won that
Simp forgetting that he has had the rim drawback before and exploited Rim-to-Rim moves is classic Simp
When? I don’t remember that

"Simp always listens" 💀
He might listen, but he doesn't necessarily have to act upon our feedback
That's coward move
"Rim" and "edge" are not the same. There are 4 edges, and 1 rim. The rim is the perimeter of the board (combining all 4 edges).
Simp's short term memory strikes again, with the bishop only a few moves earlier doing a rim to rim move.
