My mom physically suffered her entire life;inherited form of hyperkeratosis, rheumatoid arthritis, & gave birth to 12 children. She never complained; when her suffering was intense she would pause from her work and say, "give it to me, Lord, give it all you got." She taught us how to suffer well. Thank you Fr. for reminding me of this lesson. God Bless You.
This was such an edifying sermon, and I will definitely return to it for encouragement in the midst of suffering. The part that really stuck out was when Father said, "It is the responsibility of you and me to change suffering into sacrifice. Suffering is an opportunity to increase in holiness ... let suffering flourish in your soul by becoming a sacrifice and again unite you to the sacrifice of our Lord." Deo gratias!
Thank you Father
