hey rich i’m a new angler, mostly fishing in freshwater reservoirs near my suburban town in NJ. absolutely fell in love with your channel and have learned so much simply from watching. any tips or tricks that i have are all from your channel. keep up the good work and keep inspiring!!
Epic day on the water and that one eyed Jack falls into the huge category when those guys go into attack mode its on! Those mangrove sequences at the beginning were beautiful when they form islands like that and so beneficial to the ecosystem
I just recently found your videos. I am just enamored with your kayak fishing. I didn't even know it was a thing. Keep putting out good content, I find it very entertaining.
I fish the Punta Gorda rim Canals and I've caught huge Jacks like yours and many,,many other fish from Snook,,Reds,,mangrove snapper and even Kepler Grouper. I'm here since 2003. I used to run out of Boca Grande until is seriously started fishing the canals close to home.
Hi, Been watching when I can. Your vids help me get me out of my winter blues. They also warm me up! Cold here in Illinois. Maybe mention depths from time to time. Thanks!
Wow almost 200K subscribers...you've come a long way...I hope the ride continues!!!! One day, one video at a time. I'll be in Naples June1-10 this year....tight lines
Spring break, out of school back to RI fishing; hope still something there in this early spring; btw this video and noise are on fire 🔥 and itchy my fishing hand
Rich. Best videos out there. Would love a fishaholic blooper video Even the best throw it in the mangroves every now and then. Just a thought. Keep the great vids coming!!
Hahaha yeah I threw it in the mangroves a couple times. Bloopers would be funny at the end of the video. I’ll film a video like that and see if y’all like it.
There is slick calm and then there is the mirror you are riding on. What an epic blowout on that mullet. Film work has gotten really good Rich and I think alot of content guys blow that and it's super important. As detail driven as you are I was shocked you didn't re tie after that mutant Jack. Lol I was using a black mullet that I thought was too big for Snook and Reds and I wound up catching my PB Flounder near Jensen causeway. Frickin hilarious
Hey Dave, glad to hear you enjoyed! I did actually retie but I didn’t include it. I just edited it out. I edited a lot out because of the failures with lost fish so I tried to make it a shorter video. That’s cool though! How big was the flounder?
@FishAholicTV hard for me to type it was so sick but a hair under 27" and just shy of 11 pounds, I have caught some big ones in Jensen on Spooks too of all things 😅
That Jack was Mammoth! Well done Curious - you do not engage the Baitrunner feature on your reel while fishing baits? do you have better hook-ups wtihout it?
Awesome. As of your other followers I too am looking forward to your videos on a daily basis. Really makes my day when you post. I am sporting the FishAholic hat. Really good quality
Another great video Rich, best of luck on 200k! Rooting for ya, also I purchased a older hobie mirage outback! Purely bc you make it look like so much fun. Cheers 🍻 brother
Be more concerned about the bugs, especially the no see-ums. They're not like the ones in Jersey but more like green flies. These no see-ums cannot be avoided. They will get through your screens unless you have special screening. Also, the sun down here, even now, is powerful. I don't know how Rich tolerates it without a T-Top. But he's a young guy. Don't move to the Stuart area without spending some time here first. I'm out on Hutchinson Island/Stuart for 3 months ending in March. No plans to return. Also, Florida RE is in a true bubble. Be informed.
@@thaddeus46 sounds like you’re the type of person that complains about everything. Florida is amazing. I live in south Jersey and can’t wait to get the hell out of this dump. I absolutely love Florida.
@@smelltheglove2038 As long as you can tolerate the summer, I think your good to go. Just do your due diligence before you make the move. Also, the gap between the price of equivalent homes between Florida and New Jersey is closing very quickly. You may wish to rent before you buy for a year or so. And if you have grandchildren up here in NJ, fugetabout it. LOL. BTW, I used to live in Forked River on Barnegat Bay and loved it. Good luck.
Yeah maybe it was tightening it more and more after every fish that came off. But there’s a lot that can go over the hook point when you use larger black mullet like this. I’ll be back for a better day haha. Thanks for watching!
WOW that was very exciting to see sooo many hits on those walls that's a fun time even though the fish got off still great stuff there Rich Thanks for Sharing.

@@FishAholicTV My Dad used to take me Tautog fishing on Long Island Sound. We used hand lines on little spools he made out of wood. Always a freezer full of fish, clams, etc. Good times!
Rich I wish I lived in Florida unfortunately I live in New Hampshire and our fishing action and window isn't as vast as your location. I love watching your videos keep them coming.
You were so busy landing that living fossil that you overlooked the service dog . Understandable...that was a great day of work fishing...a lot more fun than selling flooring 6 days a week here in Orlando. Thanks Rich, you're one of the good ones...
So excited waking up in the morning and seeing a new epic video from Fishaholic!! Made my day. Can't wait for better weather to fish again on my kayak.
Drop the Mustad hooks and get you some Owner Muta-lite Circles and you'll lose a lot less fish. I dont like that Mustads don't have a corner cut into them to lock it in the fishes mouth. I fished both for years for Tarpon and let me tell you, your landing % will improve dramatically. Compare the two hooks. Google them both and look at them side by side and you'll understand what I mean pretty much immediately.
I think you had the circle hook too far back in the skull of the mullet so it didn't pull out and get in the lip of the fish, instead you pulled the mullet out of their mouth, its happened to me before, just a thought, you know what you're doing
You have come a long way since I first saw the videos of you fishing the Wood River in RI. I'm happy to see that this TH-cam thing worked out for you. Well deserved.
Hi Rich. I hope you reach 200K soon. You deserve it. I see you have a Baitrunner. I have a 4500 that I purchased in 91 and it still works! I caught a 17lb Yellowtail here with it on 12lb test and other large fish. It punches up in weight for sure. They have their place. I hope you enjoy it.

Thankful to see someone else fishing. Winds are whipping on East Coast of FL.
Yeah it was windy all week but this past weekend it was extremely windy on Sunday.
That water looks perfect. I normally fish the jetties in NC, so a bit rockier seas is what I see.
Thanks for teaching me some awesome techniques that helped me catch alot more fish!

We read a statistic from Florida realtors that over 70% of people that move from the north to Florida leave two years later.

They aren’t really a big concern. I haven’t ever read into a territorial big gator before though. Most of them are extremely skittish and will flee.

Unfortunately by me here in florida the season for both those fish is closed but if I travel up to the Carolina’s I definitely will

Where can you buy your fisher Hollick rod
Hey Rich, do you consider best fishing times and moon charts when you go out?
Sometimes I did but I generally try to fish and film all week and I will plan based on the tide for particular spots.
Drag seems a bit loose to get that hook set. Either that it there not getting it fully in their mouth. Great videos!

My partner got me to give you a sub cause he loves your videos 😆
Haha awesome thanks so much!!
around how much will the lime green prototype rod be?
Unfortunately not sure on the price yet. Sorry but thanks for watching! Tight Lines!
I wonder if all the scarring on the blind side is from running into structure/hitting reef.
Or a boat motor, or an alligator.
Yeah it could be. Oysters are really sharp too. And this area is loaded with oysters on the bottom.
Props to Dad!

some fish transition from male to female as the get older/larger. For instance larger snook (over 32'?) are breeding females.
