I watched about 5 other videos for this stitch. This was by far the best one. It was slow enough for a beginner like me to follow, and the "do it with me" style is perfect. Thank you for the video, you're great!
I wish you still posted to this channel. You’re a wonderful teacher. Six years later, I FINALLY found a tutorial that made sense and explained the placement perfectly. Best of luck to you!
OMG, I never saw a tutorial how to use all those small stitch markers. I was always try to twist open over thread. I’m 75 and crocheting since I was about 25! This tip is priceless!!!!! Thank you so much! A Especially an awesome tip for Amigurumi! Thanks
I bet you didn't think 6yrs later people would still be watching this video lol. I have to say I have been having a lot of trouble figuring out where to put the stitch marker and where my last stitch was, where my 1st stitch began and now I understand from watching this video one time. This was a very quick video but the content was amazing, I give this #1 video! Thank you so much for sharing!
I looked everywhere and nobody explained it as well as you did. It has been a big help and I learned something new (after a whole lot of years of crocheting). Thank you!!!
I've been having trouble trying to get the hang of the magic circle, and I've watched countless videos. And by chance, I happened upon yours! Not only did I learn an easier way to get the same results as the magic ring/circle, but I also learned how to use stitch markers as well...and I'm so excited to start my next project 😄. Thank you so much for this very beginner friendly video.
Thank you for this! I'm a intermediate knitter trying to learn crochet and having a very difficult time especially with the magic loop/in the round. Your tutorial has been the most helpful and has kept me from stabbing someone with my crochet hook out of frustration!
Thank you for your video. I've watched several others and yours is very clear in both direction and camera focus. This tutorial has helped me immensely! 👍 Thanks again!
Hi! Nice and slow thank you! I am a complete beginner to crochet I have knitted for years scarves dishcloths and so on... but now quarantined and Im bored as hell... Lol Thank you for bieng so slow... so many are too fast and say hey welcome to my beginners channel... im like say whatttt??!!
Let me add my name to the list - your tutorial is straightforward, simple, clear, and very very helpful! Best one of this technique I've seen. Thank you very much for making & posting this. :)
Super helpful!! Could you do a tutorial on the details of wear to place your hook in each stitch. Sometimes, it can be really hard to tell where to put the second stitch ex. 2 sc in next stitch. if that makes any sense. :) thanks!
Ok, so I’m old, and am more of a knitter. Due to some arthritis issues I can’t knit right now so I thought I would try some crochet. I remember joining the rounds at the end of each round and working a chain stitch as the first stitch in the new round. We don’t do that anymore?
hi I think you for your video. I to check out the type of crochet hook you use. I especially noticed on the last Afghan I made that the end of the hook kept getting caught in the Afghan.
Amazing tutorial, though it would be nice if you showed how to make a marker with some scrap yarn for those of us without markers like yours (Cause you know we will at least have yarn if we are crocheting XD)
Row 6....*Sc in each of next 4 sts, 2 sc in next ; repeat from * around - 48 sts......row 7...* Sc in each of next 11 (5) sts, 2 sc in next st; repeat from * around- 52 (56) sc....help am stuck in row 7!
+kasthuri shanmugam the point of this video was to show how to use stitch markers and start out single crocheting in rounds. There are SO many different things you can do from here. Check out my invisible join video if you’re just wanting to finish the circle.
Your stich might be to tight. But usually what you need to do is flaten your circle with your fingers as you go. And then the more rounds you make the flatter the circle will get. Hope that helps.

You know you're addicted to crochet when you watch 3 seasons of a TV show and have no idea what the characters look like !!!
I looked everywhere and nobody explained it as well as you did. It has been a big help and I learned something new (after a whole lot of years of crocheting). Thank you!!!
I've watched about 9 different videos trying to figure this out and your is the ONLY one that makes sense, thank you!

After the single stitch double stitch, if we want to make the circle bigger what do we do next? Single stitch triple stitch?
thank you for explaining how to mark the stitch! no one else takes the time to do that!
That is the easiest way I have seen yet to know exactly where to put the stitch marker
You just single handedly taught me how to crochet a flat circle :) thank you I thought learning this was going to be hopeless
Thank you for your video. I've watched several others and yours is very clear in both direction and camera focus. This tutorial has helped me immensely! 👍 Thanks again!
Superbly clear for a beginner, thank you.
Cutting round stitch markers is brilliant! I have some for knitting and love that I can repurpose them for crocheting.

Good day, I have a difficult time, crocheting in the round. I'm watching your video, this is very helpful. 😊
How do you end off when you have the size you want?
It was very helpful. It's been a while since I've done a crochet in the round and I forgot the pattern to follow. Thanks!

Also, awesome tips on cutting the stitch marker and using a pencil grip as a cushion! 😀 Thanks!
Do you have a longer video and working on a project? 🙂
You are amazing! I love this idea! I've struggled counting rounds for years! Thank you! 😘
Great video! Where did you get that pad you've added to your hook, please? Thanks.
Love the vid and those stitch markers! Where do you find them? I have stick mine in stitches and often get it wrong.

I love your video it was very easy but how do you finish it.?? Thank you 😊
It depends what you’re making. If just a circle, I would finish it with an invisible join.
Very good!! I learned a better technique even though I've crocheted for years. Thanks
thank you this video was very helpful for this grandmother.

I don't have an interesting comment, but I appreciated this video and I know youtube cares about how many comments a video gets...
You use the exact same music that the ad before your video used. Thought my phone was glitching.
it was good but like the others u didnt mention who to end the work, thus the video was incomplete
+kasthuri shanmugam the point of this video was to show how to use stitch markers and start out single crocheting in rounds. There are SO many different things you can do from here. Check out my invisible join video if you’re just wanting to finish the circle.
Wait, so that's how you use a stitch marker in crochet?!?! This is something that should be in instruction books.

Your stich might be to tight. But usually what you need to do is flaten your circle with your fingers as you go. And then the more rounds you make the flatter the circle will get. Hope that helps.
