@@akoden2667 I find it slightly difficult, but mostly the mechanics linguistically. Rrr's especially. American tongues are commonly placed further back in the mouth when pronouncing sounds, whereas other foreign languages like Arabic, the tongue is relaxed and sounds are formed closer to the front and just behind the ridge. This is not in our heads 🙂

In Spanish we say, "Mi vida" which means my life. We also say my heart, "Mi corazón" . "Eres la luz de mis ojos" , which means you are light of my eyes is also very popular. I think Spanish and Arabic have a lot of similarities. They are both very poetic and descriptive languages.

Maltese is a semitic language. It's influenced by or rather comprised of Italian and sicilian (more than 50%), Arabic (about 30% - 40%) , and English. So you have a rich language! They say if you listen to a Maghrebi (Arab north Africa) like a Tunisian, there is a good chance you'd understand 20 or 30% of it! Try to find a Tunisian video on youtube and listen to it to find out.

I wish to learn Arabic to tell them how special I feel about them, about their culture. I would like to learn some words that make them feel welcome. With you right now, I am learning some good ones. Today precisely, one of them joking about it (and we just laugh a lot) said if you learn arabic with that spanish accent you will do no good to arabic language. We just laugh a lot about it!!!😁 I love them, and I would like to express my feelings about them and their beautiful families. Roh rohi

“Mi corazón de batata mameya” means my sweet potato heart 😂
“Mi porqueria” means “my trash” lmao but it’s like referring to someone fragile, adorable that you love.
“Benditooo” or “ditoo” means blessed but we use it when we feel sorry for someone or when something is so cute you want to cry. Like “awwww” in English.

In French Canadian, so in Québécois, you actually say "mon loup (male)" / "ma louve (female)", which means "my wolf".
It's actually quite sweet and beautiful, I find. Nordic culture is sometimes a bit austere and this endearing term is quite belonging to that feeling, somehow. You know, in the cold of the land, you still got the wolves. A wolf is savage but is also loving and strives for its community since it lives in packs. All kinda austere/nordic hahahaha. We say less and mean a lot when we speak. In the cold nordic heart, you will find incredible warmth. :)

I loved this video! I will share some German endearments. These are more sweet cute things you would say to your sweetie or parent to child. These aren’t usually used in „serious“ love songs either, but more fun beer tent ones like „Schatzie schick mir ein Foto“. It is interesting which animals Germans use in the diminuative form as an endearment. Here the most popular at least used by my hubby. 1) Mouse. This surprised me at first since we see mice as pests in the USA. But Mausi, Mauschen or even simply Maus is popular. Even when talking to the cat my hubby calls her mouse. „Was ist Mausi, möchtest du etwas zum Essen?“. 2) Rabbit/Bunny, now that makes sense as bunnies are cute and cuddly....Hasie, Häschen, Häselschen. 3) my personal favorite Sparrow. In Bavaria Spatzl, Spatzie, Spatzelchen. 4) Bee/Honey Bee. Bienchen, Biene 5) not an animal but my treasure, Schatz, Schatzie, Schatzschen. However, when I say in a certain tone „Du...Schatzie! Well he‘s in some sort of trouble! But „Du bist mein Schatz“, that you say to your sweetie as well as your children. „Du bist ein Schatz“ to anyone fab that just did something lovely or said something lovely to you. Here‘s to endearments and love in every language! xo (xo is used in closing a note, letter or message which means hugs and kisses but in an endearment way to not only your sweetie but in general to friends/family mostly used by women and popular in the USA & UK.)

(Toebreni) , it's usually said in Syrian and Lebanese delicates which means may I die and u barry me lol, or ( tmshi ala abri) means u may walk on my grave
But these two expressions are not used in any other arab country only in the above two
In Iraq and some golf countries they say (fdatek) which means I may happily die for u
So yeah I feel nthg when I say I love u to my bf but I feel my heart hurts when I say (bahebak with ح not the H)
