O Dios mio, Zamboangueños, por favor no pronuncia con el ''h'' na maga palabra como ''hermosa'' y ''hermosean''.
The ''h'' in Chavacano words of Spanish origin or entered Chavacano via Spanish, and in all words of Spanish language, is silent and shouldn't be pronounced. Remember that my fellow Zamboangueños y Chavacanohablantes.

Yea but Chavacano is different. The pronunciation is adapted to filipino style. because we filipinos just passed down what we can read on spanish words. Im also learning spanish and it’s really different in some ways compared to chavacano . (My mom’s family speaks it)

@@amo_res9266 Not true. I'm a real Chavacano speaker. Verdadero Chavacanos never pronounce the "h". It's the immigrants like Bisaya and Tagalogs who learned to speak Chavacano, who mispronounce this way. We don't say hombre, hasta, hace, etc..with an "h". It's always ombre, asta and ace.
And I guess people think that it's right to say "Hermosa" with an "H" coz of the way the people in the entertainment industry say Kristine Hermosa's surname.

Its not presyosa (preciosa) lisping accent po dapat, it may sound Prethiosa.
Ciudad must be pronounced Thiudad not siyudad.
Note ko lng po, no disrespect intent

They are doing the Mexican/Latino pronunciation. Lisping pronunciation is Spain style of pronunciation.

The song or hymn "Zamboanga Hermosa" is written in Philippine Spanish because of the inclusion of the word ''dalagas'' which is ''solteras'' in all other dialects of Spanish, and therefore should be said, pronounced, and sung in Philippine Spanish accent of common Filipinos during the Spanish colonial era up to the American colonial era.
Philippine Spanish accent or pronunciation is similar to Latin American accent and not Iberian or European Spanish accent where should the ''ci'' combination be pronounced as the soft ''th'' sound or a lisp. In Philippine Spanish and Latin American Spanish dialects, the pronunciation and accent for the ''ci'' and "ce" combination shouldn't be pronounced with a soft ''th'' or a lisp but as a simple ''s'' sound.
Philippine Spanish accent also pronounces the ''ci'' and ''ce'' combination as ''sh'' when attached to other vowels. So, in Philippine Spanish accent or pronunciation of the Philippine Spanish dialect, ''ciudad'' can be pronounced as both /syu-dad/ or /shu-dad/.

Nah, chavacano de zamboanga like all philippine languages that inherited spanish words pronounce it with seseo rather than ceceo. Doesn't really matter though, all speakers of spanish would understand the song 100%.

avs wayne,Have you been to other English speaking countries?! The English pronunciation of the Americans is vastly different from the British.its the same with Spain vs Mexico for example. Mexico has the seseo pronunciation style. for example the Spanish word "Corazon"(which means heart) is pronounced a " CoraSon" in Mexico In Spain meanwhile,it is pronounced as "CoraTHon"(the lisping th sound).
