I like that Hayden Christensen is Anakin in your Episode 1, it can give us a bigger connection to him, and I like how Anakin and Obi-Wan are connecting immediately and not after Qui-Gon’s death.

In “Attack of the Clones”, or whatever your Episode 2 will be titled, I think you should have a scene or two where Maul and Sidious have a bit of a father-son dynamic. The point of this(these) scene(s) would be to show how Maul idolizes Sidious, and make it hurt once you put yourself in Maul’s shoes when Palpatine orders Anakin to behead Maul in Episode 3.

This was an amazing ride, I mean I am a big fan of the prequels, but I have sayt The guardians of peace was awesome!!!!!!! I really like that Obi Wan had a flat character arc, it makes Obi Wan more unique by making the other characters become good people then becoming him selph a good person. I love that Anakin is older that makes the romance with Padme much more belivebel. I also like that he is the reasons that the get through and out of the blockade, it makes more sense that the best pilot in the galaxy is the only one who îs capable to do it and it makes him even more important that he already is. I like the dinamic between Tarples and Antilles, it was cool to see that distrus that was between the human and gungans be more fleshed out. I also liked the fact that Mace Windu had a bigger role because he is Samuel L Jackson and like you said he's to big of an actor to be wasted like that. The fact that you maked this movie plot being about the clones was a genious move în my opinion, it makes this movie more important. I like that Maul survived, even if I love Count Dooku it makes more sense that Darth Maul should be in all three filma of the prequels. I really like that you used elementes from the original script for ep 1, personally if that movie would had been the one that we got the critisisem would had been much lower. I really like that Anakin has a real father and he îs the inspiration of his career as a pilot, that's a very cool call back to Luke wanting to become a jedi like his father before him. I like that you used Alderaan instead of Naboo, even if Naboo is one of my favourite planets we need to see Alderaan because 1.world building and 2.because we need to see it so we could feel said in episode 4 when it gets destroyed. I like the love triangle between Anakin, Padme and Obi Wan, it makes the chemestry between them more interesting. I liked that Yoda is Obi Wan's master, even if Qui Gon Jinn is one of my favourite characters it makes more sense because Obi Wan said în ep 4 that Yoda was the jedi master who instructed him witch it means that he didn't instructed him only when he was a youngling. I liked that you still keeped some things from The phantom menace because they were good things in that movie especialy lightsaber fight and pod racing. I also liked that in a way The guardians of peace mirrors A new hope because it is a jedi and a pilot who go to save a princess wicht it is familiar, but fresh in the same time. Overall a pretty cool and awesome rewrite of The phantom menace and I really liked that it felt like a movie too, it was an awesome ride. I got to say, I'm thoroughly impressed with your rewrite of The Phantom menace. Not only did you manage to keep the plot structure of the movie but you managed to keep it more in line with the OT. That said, if I had any nitpicks; it would be that having limited Jedi is fine and having them be like Texas Rangers work. I'm still unconvinced they'd be on Coruscant. Maybe, if you had a line of dialogue saying they are in Coruscant due to wanting to better protect the galaxy/ the republic? Because I always felt like the Jedi should have been separated from the Republic. Heck, one of my ideas for the sequel trilogy would have been to have Luke's New Jedi Order away from the New Republic and try to separate themselves from politics. But I digress. Other than that, I have no major gripes. You managed to take the Lord of the rings formula/ group dynamic and make it work. Heck, I love your take on Obi-wan because I can see him being a Gandalf figure. And Anakin was great here as well. Same with Padme. Overall, a solid 9/10. I look forward to you doing Episode two and then Episode three which I wouldn't change much given it works well from a story perspective.

(It's funny that you mention the parallel between Obi-Wan and Gandalf because Alec Guinness said in a BTS video of Episode 4 that he drew some inspiration from Tolkien's work for his portrayal of Obi-Wan). I feel the same way about you regarding the Jedi Order being separate from the Republic but seeing the direction the prequels went, I figured I wouldn't mess with it in this rewrite and for this prequel time period, have the Jedi serve the Republic the same way they do in the original films. As per Obi-Wan's line, "Anakin, my allegiance is to the Republic, to democracy". I always saw it as the Jedi were an independent entity that voluntarily chose to serve the Republic and while no one had any real authority over them, they chose of their own free will to acknowledge and support the Republic government by helping in any way that they could.

@@transformersfan500okane3 Because I didn't want there to be a big time gap between Episodes 1 and 2 of my rewrite, so I had to age Anakin up to a young adult in Episode 1 so that he could be a full-grown adult in Episodes 2 and 3. Why do you keep on asking me the same question?
@@CruzaderKnight yeah that's like a couple of scenes. That's about it. The whole thing doesn't need changing. What other scenes would have any major changes? Also that balcony scene only needs a quick fix - it's not like the whole point of what each other are saying is pointless it's just a bit cringe. Hence I added "pretty much perfect" barely any changes are needed.

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoy them! I'd probably swap out Endor and the Ewoks for Kashyyyk and the Wookiees, expand on Chewbacca's character a bit, give Han Solo the heroic sacrifice both Gary Kurtz and Harrison Ford wanted to give the character, and give Episode VI and the OG trilogy as a whole a proper ending. Episode VI needs a resolution after its climax. This would come in the form of each of the remaining characters having an ending. Like Luke leaving to go travel the galaxy with R2 and rebuild the Jedi Order, Leia finding Alderaan immigrants form other planets and establishing a new colony as their queen with C-3PO and Lando as her helpers, Chewie fulfilling his life debt to Han and settling down with his family, and Mon Mothma reinstating the Republic as the new government in place of the Empire, etc.
Did you know that Obi-Wan had owned three lightsabers one is each of the three movies, and Anakin had two in Episode 2 and 3. Does that still happen in your versions of the Prequels or do they both have one lightsaber throughout the whole trilogy?
Well, Obi-Wan for sure will have the same lightsaber throughout the entire saga since he's already an established Jedi Knight. I think I'll keep Anakin losing one of his lightsabers as part of that gag where Obi-Wan tells him "a lightsaber is your life" and he immediately loses it. So Anakin has 3 total (if you count his Darth Vader lightsaber) and Obi-Wan has 1.
Awesome work! I think you did an excellent job fleshing out the ideas and making it a more character driven story. The character arcs are very well defined and the conflicts all have great stakes. It feels more true to the originals too. I agree with you on downsizing the Jedi. I think an interesting take would be that in the distant past the Jedi would have been more integral to the Republic (as they are depicted in the prequels), but with the gradual corruption of the Republic, the Jedi became a more esoteric group, reflecting a spiritual decay in the Galaxy. Similar to how industrialization eliminated the Samurai. I love how you set up the Owen Lars relationship to Anakin and Obi Wan. I wonder if you will payoff the tension between the two in E4. Specifically the idea that Obi Wan talked Anakin into joining some idealistic crusade which Owen opposed. I think you nailed how Anakin should have been characterized. A young, talented pilot, strong in the force, with a Han Soloesque personality (makes even more sense why Leia would be attracted to Han). I’ve never been a fan of the slave angle but you developed it really well. Anyway, I will listen to your sequel rewrites and I can’t wait to hear your rewrites of the rest of the prequels. Truly amazing. You did fantastic on this rewrite for episode one. Since you renamed episode one to the guardians of peace, you should name episode 2 the clone wars. Then for episode 3, I would keep the name revenge of the sith, but if you want to name change it, I would go with rise of the empire.
It’s not that maul wasn’t at the level to use force lightning, he just never wanted train anything besides telekinesis because his fighting style was more physical
What if Anakin received his last name after taking down the Banking Clan's flagship? "Behold, Anakin the Skywalker!" Anakin's and his family's real last names would remain a mystery. "I'm Anakin. Just Anakin." It would eventually change to Anakin Skywalker.
That's not a bad idea. The only issue that would remain would be what last name would Anakin give to the Republic Academy when he enlisted? It would literally be a repeat of the imperial recruiter giving Han his last name "Solo", just so that space on the application wouldn't be blank. Anakin would fall into that same scenario so he would at least have to have a proxy surname.

This was really good, but I have two questions: 1. When is the Episode II rewrite coming? 2. Anakin seems a little older in this version. Assuming the movie still comes out in 1999, who would you cast to play him?
1. Don't have an answer yet. 2. I would still stick with Hayden Christensen for the whole trilogy. He's a good actor who never got the chance to show his talent due to poor direction. The movie was released in 99, but it would've been filmed in 98 and by that time, Hayden was already 17. This puts him at a decent enough age to convince the audience that he's a young military cadet.
If I rewrote the Prequels and Sequels, I would want to use most of your ideas with some of my own ideas, is that alright? One of my ideas is a role for C-3PO. How I would do it is C-3PO was Anakin’s only friend growing up. When he freed, he was forced to leave both Shimi and C-3PO behind. When Obi-Wan makes the deal, Anakin adds to also free C-3PO. C-3PO loses his memories due to Anakin’s influence and is disowned after he refused to serve him after he turned to the dark side.
Incredible rewrite but I feel like it would be a bit too long in movie form. I mean if it takes an hour just to explain the plot, converting everything into actual scenes would probably take upwards of 4 hours. That being said, I thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to episodes 2 and 3 if you are still considering making those.
Thank you. On the contrary, it's the opposite. On average, if you were to describe the entire plot of a 2 hour movie orally, it would take you close to 2 hours, which would be the same amount of time it takes to watch said movie. Admittedly, things that take minutes to describe orally could be portrayed visually in seconds. Especially action scenes. So there's that to take into consideration too.
You know what, I don't know. Now that I think about it, I've never heard or seen of any ritual that pertains to a Jedi's lightsaber after said Jedi has died. Which is interesting, because each lightsaber is unique and crafted especially for its individual owner.
Yeah I like episode 3 but I always felt like that one should've focused on the demise of the jedi empire hunting them down. And end of episode 2 should've been like Anakin's turn essentially. But yeah your episode 1 is great.
I just realized something: By swapping Naboo with Alderaan, Padme will be laid to rest on the latter planet after she dies in your version of ROTS. Imagine the level of rage Vader will feel when Tarkin has the same planet his dead wife is buried on be blown up via Death Star.

If I can some ideas I have are seeing the immediate aftermath of Anakin killing the Sand People, and if you still do the arena battle, Anakin should lose his hand trying to shield Obi-Wan or Padme from Darth Maul or Count Dooku (depending on what you do).

Oh man, Anakin and Obi-wan fighting Maul on Geonosis, Anakin (or maybe Obi-wan, that'd be dark) beheading Maul over Coruscant... This is going to be fucking amazing. Might I recommend Maul doing some speeches, rallying the Seperatist armies? Ahh... I've got a great feeling about this
This rewrite is actually really good. Also the title Guardians of Peace is really good, although the original title isn't bad either. Though I like to see Qui Gon to be still with them but Maul eliminated him. Overall, still an enjoyable experience. Looking forward and still await the upcoming Attack of the Clones (if that's what it'll be called or it will live up to it's title) and Revenge of the Sith (will the title be changed or it remains as it is?).
May I tell you something, if I rewrote episode 1, I would have made Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan adoptive brothers, where Qui-Gon’s parents took Obi-Wan in when his parents abandoned him for being a “freak”. Their parents (or adoptive in Obi-Wan’s case) died and Yoda took them as his paddawans. In the end, Darth Maul kills the only family Obi-Wan has left. I would also make both R2D2 and C-3PO droids that Anakin found as a child and the two were extremely loyal to him, except when he turned to the dark side.
Phoenix Studios and in Episode 2 or 3, I would give Obi-Wan a chance to kill Maul, but he chooses not to as he would be no better. I would also make Anakin the reason C-3PO loses his memories.

@@transformersfan500okane3 Because I didn't want there to be a big time gap between Episodes 1 and 2 of my rewrite, so I had to age Anakin up to a young adult in Episode 1 so that he could be a full-grown adult in Episodes 2 and 3.

I mean revenge of the sith is pretty much perfect, it barely needs any changes.
Sonic Skullz 11 I think a lot of dialogue should be rewritten. A lot of scenes like the Anakin/Padme balcony scene was pretty cringey.
@@CruzaderKnight yeah that's like a couple of scenes. That's about it. The whole thing doesn't need changing. What other scenes would have any major changes? Also that balcony scene only needs a quick fix - it's not like the whole point of what each other are saying is pointless it's just a bit cringe.
Hence I added "pretty much perfect" barely any changes are needed.

I'd probably swap out Endor and the Ewoks for Kashyyyk and the Wookiees, expand on Chewbacca's character a bit, give Han Solo the heroic sacrifice both Gary Kurtz and Harrison Ford wanted to give the character, and give Episode VI and the OG trilogy as a whole a proper ending. Episode VI needs a resolution after its climax. This would come in the form of each of the remaining characters having an ending. Like Luke leaving to go travel the galaxy with R2 and rebuild the Jedi Order, Leia finding Alderaan immigrants form other planets and establishing a new colony as their queen with C-3PO and Lando as her helpers, Chewie fulfilling his life debt to Han and settling down with his family, and Mon Mothma reinstating the Republic as the new government in place of the Empire, etc.
5 people need to get a life.. This, at least, is a superb effort and deserves credit. Moreover, they clearly care a lot about star wars!

Did you know that Obi-Wan had owned three lightsabers one is each of the three movies, and Anakin had two in Episode 2 and 3. Does that still happen in your versions of the Prequels or do they both have one lightsaber throughout the whole trilogy?
Well, Obi-Wan for sure will have the same lightsaber throughout the entire saga since he's already an established Jedi Knight. I think I'll keep Anakin losing one of his lightsabers as part of that gag where Obi-Wan tells him "a lightsaber is your life" and he immediately loses it. So Anakin has 3 total (if you count his Darth Vader lightsaber) and Obi-Wan has 1.
I'm excited. I loved Part 1, I'm sure Part 2 will be as good if not better
Awesome work! I think you did an excellent job fleshing out the ideas and making it a more character driven story. The character arcs are very well defined and the conflicts all have great stakes. It feels more true to the originals too.
I agree with you on downsizing the Jedi. I think an interesting take would be that in the distant past the Jedi would have been more integral to the Republic (as they are depicted in the prequels), but with the gradual corruption of the Republic, the Jedi became a more esoteric group, reflecting a spiritual decay in the Galaxy. Similar to how industrialization eliminated the Samurai.
I love how you set up the Owen Lars relationship to Anakin and Obi Wan. I wonder if you will payoff the tension between the two in E4. Specifically the idea that Obi Wan talked Anakin into joining some idealistic crusade which Owen opposed.
I think you nailed how Anakin should have been characterized. A young, talented pilot, strong in the force, with a Han Soloesque personality (makes even more sense why Leia would be attracted to Han). I’ve never been a fan of the slave angle but you developed it really well.
Anyway, I will listen to your sequel rewrites and I can’t wait to hear your rewrites of the rest of the prequels. Thanks for your hard work!
Truly amazing. You did fantastic on this rewrite for episode one. Since you renamed episode one to the guardians of peace, you should name episode 2 the clone wars. Then for episode 3, I would keep the name revenge of the sith, but if you want to name change it, I would go with rise of the empire.
It’s not that maul wasn’t at the level to use force lightning, he just never wanted train anything besides telekinesis because his fighting style was more physical

Anakin's and his family's real last names would remain a mystery.

It would eventually change to Anakin Skywalker.
That's not a bad idea. The only issue that would remain would be what last name would Anakin give to the Republic Academy when he enlisted? It would literally be a repeat of the imperial recruiter giving Han his last name "Solo", just so that space on the application wouldn't be blank. Anakin would fall into that same scenario so he would at least have to have a proxy surname.

This was really good, but I have two questions:
1. When is the Episode II rewrite coming?
2. Anakin seems a little older in this version. Assuming the movie still comes out in 1999, who would you cast to play him?
1. Don't have an answer yet.
2. I would still stick with Hayden Christensen for the whole trilogy. He's a good actor who never got the chance to show his talent due to poor direction. The movie was released in 99, but it would've been filmed in 98 and by that time, Hayden was already 17. This puts him at a decent enough age to convince the audience that he's a young military cadet.

One of my ideas is a role for C-3PO. How I would do it is C-3PO was Anakin’s only friend growing up. When he freed, he was forced to leave both Shimi and C-3PO behind. When Obi-Wan makes the deal, Anakin adds to also free C-3PO. C-3PO loses his memories due to Anakin’s influence and is disowned after he refused to serve him after he turned to the dark side.

Incredible rewrite but I feel like it would be a bit too long in movie form. I mean if it takes an hour just to explain the plot, converting everything into actual scenes would probably take upwards of 4 hours. That being said, I thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to episodes 2 and 3 if you are still considering making those.
Thank you. On the contrary, it's the opposite. On average, if you were to describe the entire plot of a 2 hour movie orally, it would take you close to 2 hours, which would be the same amount of time it takes to watch said movie. Admittedly, things that take minutes to describe orally could be portrayed visually in seconds. Especially action scenes. So there's that to take into consideration too.

You know what, I don't know. Now that I think about it, I've never heard or seen of any ritual that pertains to a Jedi's lightsaber after said Jedi has died. Which is interesting, because each lightsaber is unique and crafted especially for its individual owner.
What about episodes 2 and 3 (and maybe episode 6)?

I just realized something:
By swapping Naboo with Alderaan, Padme will be laid to rest on the latter planet after she dies in your version of ROTS.
Imagine the level of rage Vader will feel when Tarkin has the same planet his dead wife is buried on be blown up via Death Star.

Pretty much the same as they are in the original versions. With the exception of Anakin starting off in his early 20s in Episode 1.

Phoenix Studios May I make some suggestions for Episode 2 and 3? If I can some ideas I have are seeing the immediate aftermath of Anakin killing the Sand People, and if you still do the arena battle, Anakin should lose his hand trying to shield Obi-Wan or Padme from Darth Maul or Count Dooku (depending on what you do).

This rewrite is actually really good. Also the title Guardians of Peace is really good, although the original title isn't bad either. Though I like to see Qui Gon to be still with them but Maul eliminated him.
Overall, still an enjoyable experience. Looking forward and still await the upcoming Attack of the Clones (if that's what it'll be called or it will live up to it's title) and Revenge of the Sith (will the title be changed or it remains as it is?).
May I tell you something, if I rewrote episode 1, I would have made Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan adoptive brothers, where Qui-Gon’s parents took Obi-Wan in when his parents abandoned him for being a “freak”. Their parents (or adoptive in Obi-Wan’s case) died and Yoda took them as his paddawans. In the end, Darth Maul kills the only family Obi-Wan has left. I would also make both R2D2 and C-3PO droids that Anakin found as a child and the two were extremely loyal to him, except when he turned to the dark side.
That's one way to reimagine it.
Phoenix Studios and in Episode 2 or 3, I would give Obi-Wan a chance to kill Maul, but he chooses not to as he would be no better. I would also make Anakin the reason C-3PO loses his memories.
