The best part about this Cinematic Universe pitch is it has something that made the MCU mostly good and successful: Patience. It’s not trying to play catch up right away and is building a story at a good pace.

Having the big crossover at the end is a great idea, but it would make a lot of sense to have a sort of "avengers 1" point somewhere in the middle where most, but not all of the properties get together for a powerful, but not all encompassing threat, then, the subsequent entries could indulge in more cross cameo like say, "have voltron visit cybertron in one of his movies searching for the goal" or some other connective tissue. That way, even people who only care about one or two of these franchises have more incentive to see them. Other than that I thougt it was a really well made video
I had a similar idea a while back, with some of the films being reworks of their previous outings to fit together and be more like their source material. Phase 1 would be: -Transformers, bringing their conflict to Earth, with the Decepticons trying to mine resources from it for Energon. -GI Joe, fighting COBRA, a terrorist organization who builds some of their tech off of leftover scraps from the first Earth Cybertronian conflicts. -He-Man, basically the first Masters of the Universe/Thor movie, but with a tad more serious of stakes and things being designed more like the 80’s and 2002 shows. -Inspector Gadget, a cyborg agent developed to deal with this increasingly high-tech world. However, he’s also very scatter-brained and somewhat buggy. This would be the most comedic one, but also bittersweet, as we bring in more of the “RoboCop” aspect to him. -The first unnamed big team-up…Skeletor and the Decepticons try to team up to mutually gain power, and our current Phase 1 heroes team up to stop them. Skeletor eventually betrays the Decepticons to become his own ultimate techno-wizard synthesis that has to be stopped. From there, I can see eventual ways to weave in: -The Thundercats [nomads on the run from Mumm-Ra’s empire, which decimated their own. Travelling to different planets, I can see the Silverhawks and Tigersharks eventually being included as well. I’d consider them analogous to a mix of Wakanda, the Guardians, and the exiled Asgardians, though not everything is direct.] -GoBots and MASK [GoBots can honestly be cameos/references more than getting their own movies. MASK can be a sub-division of GI JOE, based on having their own transforming vehicles.] -She-Ra [A direct He-Man spin-off that can start off with its own story and later come together with it. Same as it ever was, in a sense.] -Voltron [Later He-Man, Thundercats, and Transformers will establish the out-of-world conflicts and settings more and more, and Voltron wouldn’t seem too out of place along with these.] -Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles [I actually see them coming in later, as part of the first new generation of heroes, reflecting being later as an 80’s cartoon and sort of starting trends that would carry more into the 90’s, as well as sort of paralleling Spider-Man’s role in the MCU.] I maybe thought too much before about how these things could parallel the MCU. Your approach to many of them feels more unique/differentiated from that aspect. That said, I think Inspector Gadget would be fun, though perhaps too goofy, in a way.

This has to be the most craziest but awesomest idea for a cinematic universe I've ever heard. Love your channel. I know that you are dealing with schoolwork and future rewrite projects but one day I would like to see your take on a Resident Evil movie series.
I would love if the Transformers trilogy you pitched took inspiration from the IDW comics in terms of how the war started as well as giving Megatron the motivation to start the war in the first place. And maybe something from other continuities in terms of design and personality and takes on characters. And for She-Ra, I wouldn't mind if they took a lot of inspiration from the 2016 reboot because that reboot is amazing.
I have some notes already made for the War for Cybertron film and some of the worldbuilding was borrowed from the IDW comics. My version cherry picked from a lot of other Transformers adaptations in an attempt to streamline it all into cohesive mythology
Honestly 80's cartoons cinematic universe is an idea I never really thought of, but if done right it can do a very memorable movie saga like Marvel Also btw what do you think about Jurassic Park 3? I honestly think it really was a kinda wasted potential that could've been great, I mean it had a Spinosauris and the first ever big showdown in the franchise, but yet it felt so hollow and empty

This is one of the best ideas I've ever heard of, I think cinematic universes are the best thing to ever happen in cinema history. One concept I've always wanted to see is a cinematic universe based on the characters and heroes of Mythology from different cultures like King Arthur, Robin Hood, Hercules, Beowulf, and Sun Wukong all coming together into an Avengers style team, along with introducing a Universe where Gods from every Pantheon exist at the same time and my idea for the Thanos or Darkseid for the Universe is Atlas from Greek Mythology because when I saw Darkseid's design the Zack Snyder's Justice League it just screamed Atlas to me. I would also love it if someone would reboot the implied 80s Slasher Universe or Slasherverse, which Freddy VS Jason could have started and I would also want to see someone make Universal's Dark Universe work as I think it truly has potential and I'm one of the few who think the best way to continue it is from Dracula Untold because unlike Tom Cruise's the Mummy, Dracula Untold didn't shove the Dark Universe in everyone's face despite it being an enjoyable movie. So after watching this I would definitely love an 80s cartoon cinematic universe and hopefully it will happen one day.

1) There is a Magic System but it is mostly Soft. Each IP that features magic will have its own take on magic, but all of those different versions of magic will adopt a Soft Magic System overall. 2) I went ahead and attached my notes on Primus and Unicron down below...nobody has ever seen these before...so treasure these secrets from my archive lol jk "Primus is one of the two gods of the Cybertronian race. An ancient and ethereal being whose origins date back to the heresy of the Quintessons, Primus is a universal force of good. Primus and his twin brother Unicron were simultaneously born as the AllSpark’s first creation, a test conducted by the rebellious Quintessons. Designed to be superweapons that would aid Deliberata and Klementia in their usurpation of the Quintesson race, the newborn giants unexpectedly developed sentience and free will as an uncalculated side effect of the life-giving AllSpark. The two brothers came to embody the basic concepts of reality - good and evil, order and chaos. Refusing to be slaves, Primus and Unicron rebelled against their creators and sent them fleeing into space. That I really love the Transformers and will write multiple continuities for them? We'll just say that's the main takeaway here lol I only saw season 1 of Netflix's She-Ra and while I had a few gripes, overall I think it was well-made but that's only from what I know of season 1. My opinion could change if I finished the rest of the show.
I was just about to ask you what kind of film (series) or tv show you would make that isn't based on anything. This is just as cool. Also Hasbro has talked about a potential Cinematic Universe that involves all of their franchises they own. This includes Transformers, GI JOE, Power Rangers etc.

No, that would just make them come off as jerks making fun of the source material. Plus it would piss EVERYONE off. Why would they need to shit on their predecessors to build themselves up?
There are a lot more 80's franchises that would be just as huge if they were given the same respect as these, but those are good franchises to start off with. I think some of the cartoons that didn't do as well would actually do better live action as some IPS work better live than they do animated.

Also, If you plan to maybe do another cinematic universe idea in the future, I got some ideas for one. It's An Marvel Cinematic Universe Franchise that would be separate from the MCU that we have today, and it would consist of the Heroes that got their own movies before and after Iron Man in 2008. A few I recall who got their own movies before the MCU began are The Fantastic Four, The X-Men, Daredevil, Elektra, Sam Raimi's Spider-Man, The Punisher, Ghost Rider, and Wesley Snipes Blade. IDK if you've watched them all, but if you have, you could maybe pitch a cinematic universe with them. It could be called the "Marvel Knights Universe", which is inspired by the Marvel Knights label. Do you like those ideas?

Honestly this would be such an excellent idea wich I would love to see done. Personally IMO there would need to be some kind of Voltron/TF crossover though, not doing that would be a wasted opportunity.
That would come in the Unicorn Siege crossover because those two IPs exist in two different time periods and are unable to interact with each other until later on.

I'm a firm believer that a Hollywood blockbuster of The Odyssey would kill it at the box office, if done right. Personally, I think such a grand epic would have to be split into 2 movies in order to do it justice.

I find the idea brilliant. There are at least twenty cinematic universes that can be created, and this is one of the best. What if we could find a way to add The Dino Riders, The Visionaries, M.A.S.K. and The Extremes Dinosaurs, it would be even better 👍👍👍.
As far as continuity goes, I think a way that the Galaxy Rangers could fit into this 80's CU is to have them be a part of the same organization that BraveStarr is a part of and having them all work for this galactic law enforcement corps (perhaps BETA or Galaxy Garrison to help connect it with Voltron).

Hey, Phoneix I've been a follower of your channel for a while, and this video got me thinking about how you should do a Hasbro/Paramount cinematic universe featuring characters from the Transformers, Power Rangers, GI. Joe, ROM, Micronauts, and possibly even Sonic as a cameo or something like that (because Paramount produced it.)

There wouldn't be a Phase 4 or 5. I wouldn't go beyond 3 Phases in order to keep the series' trifecta structure intact. But like I mentioned in my disclaimers, other characters that I would probably add if given the chance are BraveStarr, the Bionic Six and the Galaxy Rangers.
Honestly I'd love to have all the popular 80s cartoons be connected, live action seems impossible but maybe if Cartoon Networks gets its act together (and buys TMNT from Nickoldeon) I think series of reboots that all take place in the same universe would be awesome to get the new generation into some good shows and not Teen Titans GO🤣🤣, and great nostalgia for us who grew up watching this shows finally seeing these characters interact

No. Most if not all of the artwork is concept art that I found online. The only thing I really made was the movie title cards, the 3 phase sheets and the video's thumbnail.
Since you've did the 80's cinematic universe for cartoons, is it possible you're gonna do one for anime too since you've mentioned Gundam? As for my own cinematic Universe, I would want a Thomas the Tank Engine/ Railway Series universe, since I feel compared to the other British 80's stop motion animated shows like: Fireman Sam, Postman Pat or Bob the Builder, I feel Thomas has the most potential for a live action universe, given most of the stories and the engines themselves are based in real life. For the films, it would tackle the theme of old vs new, with Gordon the Big Engine being the main character as he represents all these things, plus being related to Flying Scotsman makes for the most story themes of when reaching the 60's steam is all but phased out with many withdrawn and scrapped, with Gordon and Scotsman as the only surviving steam engines of their class. And believe or not a Thomas live action film was planned for 2011, taking place during WWII from the viewpoint of a boy reconnecting with his father with a Steam vs. Diesel conflict but was unfortunately cancelled, and depending on how the upcoming Marc Foster film does this might be more likely.
I don't know enough about anime to purpose a cinematic universe for it. Plus, I don't think all stories that are out there HAVE to be cinematic universes. It only works for some of them. That being said, I think it would be cool if there was a series of live-action Thomas the Train movies that we're made for kids.

Disney Princesses is an interesting idea. And to answer your question, Hollywood is very exclusive. There's a few exceptional individuals who have been able to squeeze themselves in, but for the most part, they don't allow new blood to come in. Which is fine because those same industry leaders and studio executives who have closed the doors have also made the industry such a toxic and hateful environment, and I want nothing to do with that. Even though I got my degree in film, I decided to make a career shift and I went into education instead because I saw what was happening (and is still happening) to my friends in LA and that's honestly not the life I want to live.
I really hope you eventually release videos for at least each film in your phase one. I know it's unlikely to ever happen, what with all the rights to these properties being a nightmare web of issues. Then again, who would've thought the Hulk, Ironman and Capt America would ever be in a movie together, much less with spiderman and so many other characters? And several of these properties have already had a reboot or more on Netflix. Hmmm.....maybe not a crazy idea after all?????
I truly believe that the best way to bring the actual ThunderCats to life would be to use a combination of make-up and motion-capture. It wouldn't be as expensive as James Cameron's Avatar (hopefully) but it would utilize the same technology and work flow. The foundation of using make-up FX would really help sell that these aliens are real people with hopes, dreams and emotions.
I believe they actually are in talks to make Thundercats. However it wouldn't be a mix of makeup, special effects and CGI. I believe it's going to be a fully CGI 3d animated movie that's in the style of stylized realism. I also, if I remember correctly that it's being pitched by Michael Dougherty, who did the recent Godzilla King of the Monsters. I could be wrong in my memory of the news, but I think it could work.
@@TheSeraphimArtist Yeah the live-action ThunderCats movie is something that has been stuck in development hell for about a decade now. There was test footage released back when the film was going to be a live-action CGI animated film like you mentioned, but I don't know if that approach is still on the table because the project itself seems to have been forgotten altogether by the studios.

Honestly I would prefer if these properties just stayed untouched. I get the appeal, but the challenge of making equivalents for today's audiences would be more beneficial. Though that would imply the people in charge actually put in the commitment. Which is why I had an issue when Saturday Morning Cartoons went away or when Toys R Us vanished. You're effectively denying a generation of something inspiring for them. And when they have nothing but the streaming services and games, of course they're not going to for example, play with toys or read comics or be encouraged to view older toons. Sorry for that tangent. I just feel that we've effectively lost for the most part something special. Or it's still there, just not as available.

I actually enjoyed the movie we got and wasn't planning on rewriting it. The only things I would change would be the subplot with Millie Bobby Brown (I'd remove it completely) and I would tweak and alter a few characters, but nothing substantial enough to justify a rewrite.

I do think that you undersell She-Ra in this. Personally, I don't even think that Adam should appear in her first movie. I think it would be more interesting if they both meet after they've been He-Man and She-Ra for some time.
The original She-Ra was introduced alongside her brother Prince Adam at the beginning of her onscreen debut and that worked out just fine. It was actually well-received at the time too. I personally don't see anything wrong with that, especially because it can provide a lot of dramatic tension in our adaptation. Obviously He-Man wouldn't be the main protagonist, but it would be a waste of a great opportunity to not have Adam and Adora interact with each other and influence each other. You want two long lost siblings to remain separated and never reunite? Where's the fun in that? Adam can directly influence She-Ra's first character arc and by the end of the film, She-Ra can choose to stay in Etheria rather than go home with her brother because she knows she can do some good for the Great Rebellion and help liberate them from Hordak's tyranny. So She-Ra would be able to stand up on her own two feet by the end of the first film, which works with a Coming of Age origin story. Not to mention, up until the Netflix reboot, She-Ra was not a popular name. You were lucky if people knew about He-Man, little loan She-Ra. So starting off with a duology isn't a bad thing, especially since you can create a trilogy later depending on how the first film is received.

It wasn't until after Adora had been established as She-Ra was her connection to Adam revealed. And I literally never said that I didn't want them to ever reunite. I just don't think Adam should be in her first movie, let her and her own struggle be the main focus. There's certainly more than enough content, since Adora's storyline is honestly much more interesting than Adam's. She was raised by the villains, only to defect when she realizes that she's on the wrong side even if that means betraying people that she's known her whole life. As the reboot proved, Adora doesn't need Adam to work as her own character.

Dear Phoenix Studios, I have a question why did you make Captain Phasma a Mandalorian? Also, did The Great Mandalorian Purge still happen? If so why would Phasma want to side with the imperials that murder her people?
As we've seen in Star Wars lore, even though Mandalorians are generally a proud warrior race, there are some Mandalorains who deeply value their freedom and independence, and there are other Mandalorians who are more opportunistic and are willing to sell others out if it means that they receive more power as an individual. Examples of the latter can be seen in the Mandalorians who chose to side with the Empire over their own people during the Galactic Civil War. Captain Phasma is another Mandalorian who falls into that category. She figured that she would benefit from siding with the First Order and that's why she's willing to kidnap children and raise them to be slave soldiers. It's all for her own personal benefit. She gets power, status and authority as a high-ranking member of the First Order and the leader of their military. This is why Zorii calls Phasma out for being a traitor and for having no honor. Even though Phasma does have a code of honor, it's a very selfish one and it doesn't necessarily align with the traditional Mandalorian values. Phasma is a bit of a radical, and that radicalness is welcome amongst the extremist terrorist organization that is the First Order. As far as why I chose to make Captian Phasma a Mandalorian in the first place, there's two reasons for that. 1) The real Captain Phasma was a boring character who was more of an obstacle than a character. So I tried to inject some more nuance and personality into her character by making her a Mandalorian traitor and fleshing her out a little bit that way. I also included more scenes where she demonstrates her proud warrior traits such as challenging Sam Solo and Finn to single combat in my rewrites for Episodes 7 and 8. 2) The previous two Star Wars trilogy always had at least one Mandalorian character around to help make the world feel more rounded and to incorporate that Wild West/gunslinger vibe into the setting. In the prequels, we had Jango Fett, and in the originals, we had his son Boba. The considerable lack of Mandalorians in the sequel trilogy was something that stuck out to me so I decided to include them by making both Zorii and Phasma Mandalorians since their preexisting character traits matched up well with the personalities of the Mandalorian people.

I also know that James McAvoy has said that he would like to play Lion-O, but I honestly don't know if that'd be a good idea. He's a great actor and I love him, but I'd have to see what he can do with the role in an audition before I'm sold that he's a good fit for the character.

However, the Future 80's Characters are warned that altering the past will erase their present, thus wiping out everything and everyone they know. This could lead to the Future 80's Characters developing serious guilt over knowing their actions lead to the annihilation of their homes and their loved ones.
To be honest, I haven't thought that far ahead yet but I'll check it out :) I've always been a fan of James Cameron's time travel theory so I might choose to go with that. I don't know yet.

So in this 80's Cinematic Universe, Time Travel only creates branching alternate timelines without altering the main timeline. Even without Time Travel involved, any event or choice could play out differently, leading to infinite possibilities of variation between alternate timelines based on how said events and choices diverge from what happened in the main timeline. Hopefully, there is a diagram to explain this in a visual medium for regular audience members so they can understand the concept.

Having the big crossover at the end is a great idea, but it would make a lot of sense to have a sort of "avengers 1" point somewhere in the middle where most, but not all of the properties get together for a powerful, but not all encompassing threat, then, the subsequent entries could indulge in more cross cameo like say, "have voltron visit cybertron in one of his movies searching for the goal" or some other connective tissue. That way, even people who only care about one or two of these franchises have more incentive to see them. Other than that I thougt it was a really well made video

I had a similar idea a while back, with some of the films being reworks of their previous outings to fit together and be more like their source material. Phase 1 would be:
-Transformers, bringing their conflict to Earth, with the Decepticons trying to mine resources from it for Energon.
-GI Joe, fighting COBRA, a terrorist organization who builds some of their tech off of leftover scraps from the first Earth Cybertronian conflicts.
-He-Man, basically the first Masters of the Universe/Thor movie, but with a tad more serious of stakes and things being designed more like the 80’s and 2002 shows.
-Inspector Gadget, a cyborg agent developed to deal with this increasingly high-tech world. However, he’s also very scatter-brained and somewhat buggy. This would be the most comedic one, but also bittersweet, as we bring in more of the “RoboCop” aspect to him.
-The first unnamed big team-up…Skeletor and the Decepticons try to team up to mutually gain power, and our current Phase 1 heroes team up to stop them. Skeletor eventually betrays the Decepticons to become his own ultimate techno-wizard synthesis that has to be stopped.
From there, I can see eventual ways to weave in:
-The Thundercats [nomads on the run from Mumm-Ra’s empire, which decimated their own. Travelling to different planets, I can see the Silverhawks and Tigersharks eventually being included as well. I’d consider them analogous to a mix of Wakanda, the Guardians, and the exiled Asgardians, though not everything is direct.]
-GoBots and MASK [GoBots can honestly be cameos/references more than getting their own movies. MASK can be a sub-division of GI JOE, based on having their own transforming vehicles.]
-She-Ra [A direct He-Man spin-off that can start off with its own story and later come together with it. Same as it ever was, in a sense.]
-Voltron [Later He-Man, Thundercats, and Transformers will establish the out-of-world conflicts and settings more and more, and Voltron wouldn’t seem too out of place along with these.]
-Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles [I actually see them coming in later, as part of the first new generation of heroes, reflecting being later as an 80’s cartoon and sort of starting trends that would carry more into the 90’s, as well as sort of paralleling Spider-Man’s role in the MCU.]
I maybe thought too much before about how these things could parallel the MCU. Your approach to many of them feels more unique/differentiated from that aspect. That said, I think Inspector Gadget would be fun, though perhaps too goofy, in a way.

I would love if the Transformers trilogy you pitched took inspiration from the IDW comics in terms of how the war started as well as giving Megatron the motivation to start the war in the first place. And maybe something from other continuities in terms of design and personality and takes on characters. And for She-Ra, I wouldn't mind if they took a lot of inspiration from the 2016 reboot because that reboot is amazing.
I have some notes already made for the War for Cybertron film and some of the worldbuilding was borrowed from the IDW comics. My version cherry picked from a lot of other Transformers adaptations in an attempt to streamline it all into cohesive mythology

I'm guilty of only having seen Jurassic Park and Jurassic World. But something that I've been wanting to do is read the original novels by Michael Crichton.
This is one of the best ideas I've ever heard of, I think cinematic universes are the best thing to ever happen in cinema history. One concept I've always wanted to see is a cinematic universe based on the characters and heroes of Mythology from different cultures like King Arthur, Robin Hood, Hercules, Beowulf, and Sun Wukong all coming together into an Avengers style team, along with introducing a Universe where Gods from every Pantheon exist at the same time and my idea for the Thanos or Darkseid for the Universe is Atlas from Greek Mythology because when I saw Darkseid's design the Zack Snyder's Justice League it just screamed Atlas to me. I would also love it if someone would reboot the implied 80s Slasher Universe or Slasherverse, which Freddy VS Jason could have started and I would also want to see someone make Universal's Dark Universe work as I think it truly has potential and I'm one of the few who think the best way to continue it is from Dracula Untold because unlike Tom Cruise's the Mummy, Dracula Untold didn't shove the Dark Universe in everyone's face despite it being an enjoyable movie. So after watching this I would definitely love an 80s cartoon cinematic universe and hopefully it will happen one day.

1) There is a Magic System but it is mostly Soft. Each IP that features magic will have its own take on magic, but all of those different versions of magic will adopt a Soft Magic System overall.

"Primus is one of the two gods of the Cybertronian race. An ancient and ethereal being whose origins date back to the heresy of the Quintessons, Primus is a universal force of good. Primus and his twin brother Unicron were simultaneously born as the AllSpark’s first creation, a test conducted by the rebellious Quintessons. Designed to be superweapons that would aid Deliberata and Klementia in their usurpation of the Quintesson race, the newborn giants unexpectedly developed sentience and free will as an uncalculated side effect of the life-giving AllSpark. Refusing to be slaves, Primus and Unicron rebelled against their creators and sent them fleeing into space. I only saw season 1 of Netflix's She-Ra and while I had a few gripes, overall I think it was well-made but that's only from what I know of season 1. My opinion could change if I finished the rest of the show.

It's An Marvel Cinematic Universe Franchise that would be separate from the MCU that we have today, and it would consist of the Heroes that got their own movies before and after Iron Man in 2008.
A few I recall who got their own movies before the MCU began are The Fantastic Four, The X-Men, Daredevil, Elektra, Sam Raimi's Spider-Man, The Punisher, Ghost Rider, and Wesley Snipes Blade.
IDK if you've watched them all, but if you have, you could maybe pitch a cinematic universe with them. It could be called the "Marvel Knights Universe", which is inspired by the Marvel Knights label.

I'm a firm believer that a Hollywood blockbuster of The Odyssey would kill it at the box office, if done right. Personally, I think such a grand epic would have to be split into 2 movies in order to do it justice.

I can totally see Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers get a live action adaptation TV Show. Maybe not a movie but TV show would do.
As far as continuity goes, I think a way that the Galaxy Rangers could fit into this 80's CU is to have them be a part of the same organization that BraveStarr is a part of and having them all work for this galactic law enforcement corps (perhaps BETA or Galaxy Garrison to help connect it with Voltron).

Hey, Phoneix I've been a follower of your channel for a while, and this video got me thinking about how you should do a Hasbro/Paramount cinematic universe featuring characters from the Transformers, Power Rangers, GI. Joe, ROM, Micronauts, and possibly even Sonic as a cameo or something like that (because Paramount produced it.)

There wouldn't be a Phase 4 or 5. I wouldn't go beyond 3 Phases in order to keep the series' trifecta structure intact. But like I mentioned in my disclaimers, other characters that I would probably add if given the chance are BraveStarr, the Bionic Six and the Galaxy Rangers.

Honestly I'd love to have all the popular 80s cartoons be connected, live action seems impossible but maybe if Cartoon Networks gets its act together (and buys TMNT from Nickoldeon) I think series of reboots that all take place in the same universe would be awesome to get the new generation into some good shows and not Teen Titans GO🤣🤣, and great nostalgia for us who grew up watching this shows finally seeing these characters interact

Did you do the art work
No. Most if not all of the artwork is concept art that I found online. The only thing I really made was the movie title cards, the 3 phase sheets and the video's thumbnail.
Since you've did the 80's cinematic universe for cartoons, is it possible you're gonna do one for anime too since you've mentioned Gundam?
As for my own cinematic Universe, I would want a Thomas the Tank Engine/ Railway Series universe, since I feel compared to the other British 80's stop motion animated shows like: Fireman Sam, Postman Pat or Bob the Builder, I feel Thomas has the most potential for a live action universe, given most of the stories and the engines themselves are based in real life.
For the films, it would tackle the theme of old vs new, with Gordon the Big Engine being the main character as he represents all these things, plus being related to Flying Scotsman makes for the most story themes of when reaching the 60's steam is all but phased out with many withdrawn and scrapped, with Gordon and Scotsman as the only surviving steam engines of their class.
And believe or not a Thomas live action film was planned for 2011, taking place during WWII from the viewpoint of a boy reconnecting with his father with a Steam vs. Diesel conflict but was unfortunately cancelled, and depending on how the upcoming Marc Foster film does this might be more likely.
I don't know enough about anime to purpose a cinematic universe for it. Plus, I don't think all stories that are out there HAVE to be cinematic universes. It only works for some of them. That being said, I think it would be cool if there was a series of live-action Thomas the Train movies that we're made for kids.

Disney Princesses is an interesting idea. And to answer your question, Hollywood is very exclusive. There's a few exceptional individuals who have been able to squeeze themselves in, but for the most part, they don't allow new blood to come in. Which is fine because those same industry leaders and studio executives who have closed the doors have also made the industry such a toxic and hateful environment, and I want nothing to do with that. Even though I got my degree in film, I decided to make a career shift and I went into education instead because I saw what was happening (and is still happening) to my friends in LA and that's honestly not the life I want to live.

I truly believe that the best way to bring the actual ThunderCats to life would be to use a combination of make-up and motion-capture. It wouldn't be as expensive as James Cameron's Avatar (hopefully) but it would utilize the same technology and work flow. The foundation of using make-up FX would really help sell that these aliens are real people with hopes, dreams and emotions.

I believe they actually are in talks to make Thundercats. However it wouldn't be a mix of makeup, special effects and CGI. I believe it's going to be a fully CGI 3d animated movie that's in the style of stylized realism. I also, if I remember correctly that it's being pitched by Michael Dougherty, who did the recent Godzilla King of the Monsters. I could be wrong in my memory of the news, but I think it could work.
@@TheSeraphimArtist Yeah the live-action ThunderCats movie is something that has been stuck in development hell for about a decade now. There was test footage released back when the film was going to be a live-action CGI animated film like you mentioned, but I don't know if that approach is still on the table because the project itself seems to have been forgotten altogether by the studios.
@@phoenixstudios9078 Really? Cause the report I heard it from says it's still moving forward. Well, I suppose we'll wait and see what happens. Honestly I would prefer if these properties just stayed untouched. I get the appeal, but the challenge of making equivalents for today's audiences would be more beneficial. Though that would imply the people in charge actually put in the commitment. Which is why I had an issue when Saturday Morning Cartoons went away or when Toys R Us vanished. You're effectively denying a generation of something inspiring for them. And when they have nothing but the streaming services and games, of course they're not going to for example, play with toys or read comics or be encouraged to view older toons. Sorry for that tangent. I just feel that we've effectively lost for the most part something special. Or it's still there, just not as available.

I actually enjoyed the movie we got and wasn't planning on rewriting it. The only things I would change would be the subplot with Millie Bobby Brown (I'd remove it completely) and I would tweak and alter a few characters, but nothing substantial enough to justify a rewrite.

I do think that you undersell She-Ra in this. Personally, I don't even think that Adam should appear in her first movie. I think it would be more interesting if they both meet after they've been He-Man and She-Ra for some time.
The original She-Ra was introduced alongside her brother Prince Adam at the beginning of her onscreen debut and that worked out just fine. It was actually well-received at the time too. I personally don't see anything wrong with that, especially because it can provide a lot of dramatic tension in our adaptation. Obviously He-Man wouldn't be the main protagonist, but it would be a waste of a great opportunity to not have Adam and Adora interact with each other and influence each other. You want two long lost siblings to remain separated and never reunite? Where's the fun in that? Adam can directly influence She-Ra's first character arc and by the end of the film, She-Ra can choose to stay in Etheria rather than go home with her brother because she knows she can do some good for the Great Rebellion and help liberate them from Hordak's tyranny. So She-Ra would be able to stand up on her own two feet by the end of the first film, which works with a Coming of Age origin story. Not to mention, up until the Netflix reboot, She-Ra was not a popular name. You were lucky if people knew about He-Man, little loan She-Ra. So starting off with a duology isn't a bad thing, especially since you can create a trilogy later depending on how the first film is received.
@@phoenixstudios9078 Actually, the original She-Ra was not introduced alongside her brother. Her first appearance was in the mini-comics and in those Adam didn't appear at first. It wasn't until after Adora had been established as She-Ra was her connection to Adam revealed. And I literally never said that I didn't want them to ever reunite. I just don't think Adam should be in her first movie, let her and her own struggle be the main focus. There's certainly more than enough content, since Adora's storyline is honestly much more interesting than Adam's. She was raised by the villains, only to defect when she realizes that she's on the wrong side even if that means betraying people that she's known her whole life. As the reboot proved, Adora doesn't need Adam to work as her own character.

Dear Phoenix Studios, I have a question why did you make Captain Phasma a Mandalorian? Also, did The Great Mandalorian Purge still happen? If so why would Phasma want to side with the imperials that murder her people?
As we've seen in Star Wars lore, even though Mandalorians are generally a proud warrior race, there are some Mandalorains who deeply value their freedom and independence, and there are other Mandalorians who are more opportunistic and are willing to sell others out if it means that they receive more power as an individual. Examples of the latter can be seen in the Mandalorians who chose to side with the Empire over their own people during the Galactic Civil War. Captain Phasma is another Mandalorian who falls into that category. She figured that she would benefit from siding with the First Order and that's why she's willing to kidnap children and raise them to be slave soldiers. It's all for her own personal benefit. She gets power, status and authority as a high-ranking member of the First Order and the leader of their military. This is why Zorii calls Phasma out for being a traitor and for having no honor. Even though Phasma does have a code of honor, it's a very selfish one and it doesn't necessarily align with the traditional Mandalorian values. Phasma is a bit of a radical, and that radicalness is welcome amongst the extremist terrorist organization that is the First Order.
As far as why I chose to make Captian Phasma a Mandalorian in the first place, there's two reasons for that.
1) The real Captain Phasma was a boring character who was more of an obstacle than a character. So I tried to inject some more nuance and personality into her character by making her a Mandalorian traitor and fleshing her out a little bit that way. I also included more scenes where she demonstrates her proud warrior traits such as challenging Sam Solo and Finn to single combat in my rewrites for Episodes 7 and 8.
2) The previous two Star Wars trilogy always had at least one Mandalorian character around to help make the world feel more rounded and to incorporate that Wild West/gunslinger vibe into the setting. In the prequels, we had Jango Fett, and in the originals, we had his son Boba. The considerable lack of Mandalorians in the sequel trilogy was something that stuck out to me so I decided to include them by making both Zorii and Phasma Mandalorians since their preexisting character traits matched up well with the personalities of the Mandalorian people.

I also know that James McAvoy has said that he would like to play Lion-O, but I honestly don't know if that'd be a good idea. He's a great actor and I love him, but I'd have to see what he can do with the role in an audition before I'm sold that he's a good fit for the character.

Now instead of ranting, I am going to offer a possible solution if the Time Travel plot for this pitch does follow the formulaic "Changing The Past Changes The Future" plot. The Future 80's characters travel back in time using Temporal Displacement: a method that unsticks them from the timeline, making them free agents in time and thus preventing their actions in the past erasing them from existence once the future has been altered. However, the Future 80's Characters are warned that altering the past will erase their present, thus wiping out everything and everyone they know. This could lead to the Future 80's Characters developing serious guilt over knowing their actions lead to the annihilation of their homes and their loved ones.
To be honest, I haven't thought that far ahead yet but I'll check it out :) I've always been a fan of James Cameron's time travel theory so I might choose to go with that. I don't know yet.

So in this 80's Cinematic Universe, Time Travel only creates branching alternate timelines without altering the main timeline. Even without Time Travel involved, any event or choice could play out differently, leading to infinite possibilities of variation between alternate timelines based on how said events and choices diverge from what happened in the main timeline. Hopefully, there is a diagram to explain this in a visual medium for regular audience members so they can understand the concept.
