Great video Curtis very interesting to learn more about your fragrance journey, this is what I love so much about fragrance it is a never ending journey of discovery and a very exciting one, you have got me thinking about my journey so far and fragrances that have made an impact , thanks for sharing 😊
Hi Verity! I appreciate that. I might be making a part 2 to this video as I have a few more fragrances that have really shaped my journey. I would love to hear about some fragrances that have been game changers for you. Thanks for stopping by.
As far as my game changers I’d have to say that Dior Homme Intense was a standout. I rotated between Dior Homme and Dior Homme Eau based on the season and decided to blind buy DHI and immediately fell in love. Because of DHI I became more curious about other fragrances starting with designers and gradually moving into niche brands.
I have, and have had several Vetiver fragrances. From Carven, from Guerlain, Grey Vetiver (Tom Ford), Vetver Fatale (from Atelier Cologne), Bal d'Afrique (from Bayredo), etc. I agree with you, some of those served for my appreciation of the Vetiver note. Now I have "Incident Diplomatique" (from Jovoy) and I enjoy it very very much. I consider it in a superior league. Still haven't put my nose on the "Sultan Vetiver", but looking forward to meet that fragrance. Thanks for the video!
The endgame is called Ganymede. Some good vetivers with Amouround's Lunar Vetiver being the best: Mancera vetiver sensual, Daniel Josier Vetiver, good old classic Guerlain, Encre noir (cheapie), Montale Red Vetiver
Hermes Jardin Mediterranee , Versace Dreamer, and Angel Men were introduced to me years and years ago. And that started it for me. And thanks to my Scent Guru = you, Curtis, I’m building an awesome collection.
My first fragrance love was encre noire a l'extreme but second was terre d'hermes. It was the first perfume that i actually thought "this is mastery" especially as it changed on my skin
Hi! Awesome! I had Giorgio Beverly Hills when I was a kid. It was actually my very first fragrance. Thanks a bunch for sharing. You brought back some personal memories for me.
I never understand what note smells like what or what 'clean' means or 'fresh' means. I understand Oud and citrus. Someone needs to make a video about the notes.
Hi David! Both of those fragrances are masterpieces in my opinion. However, Sultan Vetiver just slightly edges out the win. With that said, I do go back and forth between those 2 sometimes. I guess it really depends on my vibe and mood. Both are outstanding though. Thanks for stopping by.
Ive had little luck with the house of Nishane. Sultan Vetiver is just awful. The only two that are appealing to me are B-612 and Ani. Wulong Cha almost made it, but true to form, Nishane blew the scent profile.
Hi! That is the beautiful thing about fragrance, we all perceive them in different ways and everything is completely subjective. B-612 is a great one for sure. Thank you for stopping by.

I’ve been thinking a lot recently how my taste has shaped too! Great video 😊
Hi Demi! I definitely have a few more fragrances that have been quite influential, so I may do a part 2 on this topic. Would love to hear about yours.

Hi Mr. Jakeup! It's so great to hear that you are building a solid collection! I appreciate your support my friend.
Curtis, you told me about Rose De Tiaf. I didn’t hear the part about the juice lasting 20hrs. 😂, appreciate the hookup.
Beautiful Rose.❤

Hi Nasdoc! I can try to put some videos together with what certain notes smell like and how they are categorised. Thank you for stopping by.
You prefer Sultan Vetiver to Incident Diplomatique?

SULTAN VETIVER is the TRUTH🤩
Hi Ivan! It absolutely is! Thanks for watching.
@CurtisNose It's been a while since I wore SV but I will get it back into my rotation this week for sure.😁
