Hearing the single mom welfare shit pisses me off. I remember when I was 8, borderline starving on welfare and almost never seeing my mom because her only option for a job was a ten hour minimum wage job after my dad went to prison.
Most other people I knew on welfare lived similar lives. Eating one meal a day if any (usually fast food), dancing with the law and government, working nonstop at jobs that paid them pennies, and crying themselves to sleep.
Edit: wow I was just venting, didn't expect this to blow up. Thank you for all the kind words. My family is in a much better place now, in big part thanks to a nonprofit therapy/charity in my city. I'd tell you more specifics, but I'm not trying to get doxxed lol.

    I was _miserable_ .
It took me years to deprogram myself, by slowly dipping my toes in centrist and then leftist content, whenever I started noticing logical fallacies in right wing content.

I love the "everyone can be a 7" theory. Taking care of yourself and having confidence can go so far. It's also important to remember that everyone has different preferences. If you're worried about being short, there's so many women out there who love short guys (or just don't care). There's an entire community of men who love fat women. Dad bods (dilfs) and mom bods (milfs) are becoming increasingly more popular. Beauty standards are outdated and meaningless.

@@fifiadanI am a 41 year old fat woman and have have been fat my entire life. I never had a problem finding conventionally attractive men to date or to just hook up with. I’m personally attracted to older men with the chubby dad bod. I have had multiple serious, loving relationships and I’ve been married for 15 years. even in the last several years have had a colleague confess his love for me and try to get me to cheat on my husband with him.
I reiterate - I am a fat woman - you know, one of those hideous unlovables. My husband isn’t a chubby chaser - I was the first fat woman he dated. But I also didn’t (and don’t) walk around throwing myself a pity party because there is a large group of people in this world who think it would be a better place without people like me in it.
Did it ever occur to you that _maybe_ your problem isn’t your looks, it’s your attitude? No woman wants to deal with an insecure disaster because it usually comes with anger, contempt, mistrust, and misplaced blame.
You definitely should do some work on you, but I would worry less about the gym or whatever and maybe focus on therapy. It’s not an unfounded cliche that women like men with confidence- there’s a reason we do.

As someone who doesn't live in North America, i like to think this "issue" is very small and insignificant and that it doesn't affect much of anyone on a larger scale, especially on topic regarding attraction. I think a part of the problem is men comparing themselves to other men, rather then actually trying to put themselves out there for women. As someone from the US, I see a lot of average height people, if not shorter, be in relationships just fine.

The fact that these men can’t see how similar her takes on black history to women’s history will never cease to amaze me. If she is so quick to tear down an entire gender, what’s keeping her from going after an entire race of people? I can't stand people shitting on women, and claiming them as "weaker than men," or incapable of living a fufilling and safe life without a man. My mom has had nine kids and is raising five right now as a single mother, got out of a abusive and a trapped relationship with my dad on her OWN. Quit smoking and drinking. Lost both of her parents to cancer when she was a young adult, which both were abusive and died to drug substances. Went from being a housewife and living under my abusive dads terms, to having had two jobs and is now a teacher until she retires. She owns a house, has two disabled children which is hell of a lot more money, fixes her own house, mows her own lawn, brings my sister to dance, cooks dinner, cleans, and does everything on her own. I help her out more than my father ever has, and my mom has provided for us for seven years without a problem. I respect my mom and every woman in my life because they did hella of a lot more than any other man has.

As a living historian who has portrayed a woman of the Victorian period. Women worked in this period to help support their families and themselves. Many worked as cooks, dishwashers, laundresses, domestic servants, secretaries and nurses. Only a few women worked in positions higher than I listed. During the civil war, there was a woman doctor who worked in field hospitals and on the battlefield and women disguised themselves as soldiers and fought on the battlefield on both sides. Women even worked, during the 18th century in the same rolls with the exception of working as a doctor. A few women even disguised themselves as soldiers and fought as minute men, during the colonial war. As a living historian, I portray Martha Cochran Corbin, a female patriot who disguised herself as a colonial sentinel, during the battle of Fort Washington and valiantly held the line, when her husband was tragically killed by British fire, until reinforcements arrived. Today, Martha Cochran Corbin is highly regarded by the U.S. Military and remembered by the U.S. Army Museum in a tribute to her service and valor for duty above and beyond the call of service. Did Pearl ever do any historical research about women's roles over the past three hundred years. I guess not, or she wouldn't be making such stupid statements about women.

But I would also say someone like Pearly Things, if she gets desperate enough, can just say it was all a parody and her whole career up to this point was to show how ridiculously stupid you can be and gain followers on the right.
We desperately need to find a way end this system of incentives that rewards novelty, outrageousness and air-headedness. Far from being rewarded handsomely for this idiocy, these people should be punished for the damage they do to the culture and to young minds.
