Love the REX cover I'm not crazy about the reactagloss I have taken a 4000 pad to all my pearls with reactagloss on them I feel they read the lane better and are way more consistent in my opinion
Hammer effect looked good when Robert Smith did the ball review he made it look good! and u said hammer effect doesn't look good but tommy jones throw that on tv and he stroke with it alot
Every single review I have watch, with bowlers that are much better than I, struggle to find the spot.... I was really hoping that this ball might fill that Medium Diff spot in my bag. This appears to be a mismatch or core and cover....going with the Envy Tour.....
@@wingracer1614 yeah the IQ ruby from what I understand was one of the exceptions where Reacta Gloss was not a bad look. HOWEVER, ReX base formula has looked good on VEBO (with Reata Gloss), Dark Code and Infinite Physix, BUT all those other balls were high differential Asymmetrical bowling balls. Even the Fate (symmetrical) had a higher Differential (.053) looked decent with REX. I think it simply is a mismatch of core and cover. If I thought that resurfacing the ball to completely eliminate the reacta Gloss, and then shine it back up with 4k or polish/lane shine would make this ball more stable I might give it a shot. Again, I have seen a few reviews hit the ball with 2k or 3k and it only looked marginally better. The one person that made it look viable was Luis Napoles, and he threw it in one spot only, he could not move off the spot on the fresh, but did show it also on a high friction, burnt up house shot and was able to swing the lane with it. Just not willing to spend $200+ (with drilling) on a ball that looks so poor in the hands of bowlers that normally make every ball look good.
Like JRs reviews and he doesn't overhype anything.

What ball would you recommend for the slot in the bag that The Road is supposed to fit in?
for me when i threw it out of box it went wayy too long, i did 1000 and compound on it and it rolled way better.

The problem is called reacta gloss. There are situations where it works well but not many.
