okay so after I watch the vid, the caps do look shine through. but they are white plastic, so you are just seeing some light bleed.
UPDATE: I emailed Mechanical Keyboards, and they corrected the paint chip issue right away (within a day)! That's a great company!

I honestly like the little things you always add to the review to not make them all seem the same. Like the blue glow this time with the blue shirt and the kind of music theme of a far away frozen land in the background. To be honest at first I didn't really like your reviews that much but I caught myself watching a lot of them lately and its so entertaining to see that you always put in a little extra effort. Your enthusiasm and the fact that you look at the products from more of a customers perspective makes you stand out to me honestly. Not being afraid to call companies out when their product costs a ton of money and has obvious flaws is one of the most important traits a reviewer has to have.

If you want more shine through key caps, i recommend putting some corsair key caps on it.
then, put some frozen llama key caps on backspace, enter, left and right Ctrl, left shift, caps lock, and space bar.

His is a little different. If you got the Normal one 2 mini you won’t have that floating key design. Your case will be made out of plastic and the feet on your are a little less... sturdy? I’m not really sure how to say that. It’s cause the one he has is the MECHA mini. So it’s basically 20 dollars more for a few improvements like the ones I mentioned.

Supercool! I personally got the mecha mini a few weeks ago with red switches and I love it! Unfortunately I didn't get the newer shine through spare keycaps but it's not the end of the world. Also it seems like they're using a different paint opposed to the black coating on the original. After seeing this I may end up getting the joker keycap set after all... :)

Hey Techne. So how are the switches compared to using something ultra fast such as cherry mx speeds or Apex Pros switches? Would you notice a difference? I would assume it seems slower once you use something so fast and go down to something slower. Thanks man big fan!

You won’t be disappointed with the Venus. I was deciding between that and a ducky mecha and I absolutely love the Venus. Sounds and feels great with Kailh Box reds

I ordered one few weeks ago, with brown. But the scratches are a real bummer to me. I hope I don’t get something like that. Other negative point like you said no front shortcut on the keycaps. Not cool at all, on mini there is a lot of shortcuts (arrow, volume) and last no ISO enter key ! Yeah I’m an Azerty guy. But still can’t wait to get it.😀

I ordered one and have the same issue. I ordered the “round 2” and it has small nicks on it out of the box. When you wait 3 months and it arrives even slightly damaged, it’s a real bummer.

I received my keyboard probably around the same time you uploaded this video. I also did not receive any sort of manual in my box. So I guess they chose to just not include it with this keyboard for some reason. Kinda sad since it is my first 60% keyboard. Had to look up the manual online. However the faint on mine doesn't have any chips or anything. So I'm surprised that yours does...

I think I’m going to get one I’m a 14 year old kid so it’s kind of tough 20 more dollars and I’ll have enough to get it I just love the keyboard and the llama edition. There’s a lot more I guess than the one 2 mini. There’s like a bunch of batches there doing.
Is silver switch faster than steel series apex pro tkl and huntsman mini razer red switch?
U do know that the One 2 Mini and Mecha Mini are different keyboards, right? It’s not the One 2 Mecha Mini. The One 2 Mini has a plastic base and is cheaper. The Mecha Mini has an aluminum base. The one u have seems to be the Mecha Mini.
Just bought the Mecha Mini for my first Ducky and it's coming in later this month. Highly debating whether I buy this too just for the color

@@hadleyneis7741 An MX Cherry Switch is just the most mainstream switch.
Cherry is the brand and MX is the model. They are know to be the mosr used switches in the keyboard world. They offer a stem shaped cross as their design to lock on to the keycaps, as a result, it's called the "MX Style Switch".
They offer a variety of switch types:
Clicky: Very loud clicky-feeling often considered the best for typing bur most anoying to game with.
Tactile: Softer and quiter but with a noticeble bump you can feel to resemble clicky switches.
Linear: The most quiet and no click feel just a smooth actuation. These are the most common in gaming keyboards.
To easily know which switch is clicky, tactile or linear you can look at the color. Blue is for clicky, brown is tactile, and red is for linear.
Do keep in mind that those are standard colors for Cherry but they do have many more like clears, blacks, and the ones Techne was showing off: silvers.
Since the Cherry MX switches are "the standard" many other companies do other swtiches in thag same design. You can find brands like, Khail, Omeron, Logictech, Steelseries, Razer, etc. making switches that resemble Cherry MX switches.
On to a final point.
The Silver Switches shown in this video are exclusively known to be for gaming. Why? Because they have a low actuation. This means that even though the switches have total travel distance of 4.0 mm and an actuation of 2.0 mm (this is all standard for most cherry switches) the silvers swtiches register al 1.2 mm instead of 2.0 mm. This increases the speed at which input of taken and delived to your PC. If I where to use a Cherry Red and you used a Cherry Silver and we threw a grenade st the same time you would have done it faster than me. I hope you can see why they are good for gaming.
You might be thinking: well then that means they are the best right?
The answer is yes and no. They ARE the fastest but maybe not the best for a good number of people. This is because they are too fast for typing for some people. A keyboard is more than just a gaming tool. It has to be a good keyboard first and then a good "gaming keyboard".
Of course this is all personal preferance in the end but thst is the great thing about PC gaming: there are option for everything!

wanted to get the llama but wait time was like 2 months so ended up getting regular one. as far as the 100mil that comes in regular version too now just early batches didnt ( it ionly applies to certsin switches so dont expect blues updates).
WTH what happened to the paint. It seems like the studio was hot and the frozen lama melted 🤣 a keyboard to put in the fridge.

I ordered mine in March and it came early like a week ago but it was supposed to come June 16 but mine didn't bring a manual eather and i watched some reviews and other people didn't get it rather but you can find it online on the official ducky website
