To quote a wise man, "Always train at a level 10 and you can turn the knob down when you need to, but if you're always training at a level 4, when someone is hell bent on your destruction you're going to be at a disadvantage." Forget the nay sayers.
For the rare times (Hopefully never) you would need these skills they can save your or someone else's life! Add to that it is great exercise and stress relief! This type training can give you a realistic understanding of what real violence can look like! But training it doesn't mean you are violent, you my friend are a very kind and gentle man who has the skill for dealing with the worst case scenario! Great insight as always Guro!
Thank you, sir, for sharing this information. Please continue to ignore the deadweight detractors. Your students are fortunate to have you for a teacher.
Keep training the way you’re training. It’s better that you’re ready for the worse case scenario to protect yourself and your family… Then listen to random people online (including myself) and not be ready for the worse case scenario. Makes perfect sense to me.
Thank you for taking the time to post such a supportive comment. Means a lot. And I am glad that there are many of us out there who believe in training for the worst case scenario. I have been the one on scene a couple of times in my life, and it is never easy making those quick decisions. It is always scary for me as well. I am glad I have spent more than half my life training martial arts for many reasons. Personal security is just one of them.

Thank you Rod! I really appreciate your support.
