    I'm currently in Japan with the Pocket 2, which has been great, but I'm a camera geek and wanted a 2nd camera, especially since the pocket 2 is always running out of battery! I was contemplating this action 5 camera - and you've sold me on it! Best part is if i buy it in japan, I can get 10% off for tax free, plus another 7% with a voucher for tourists. It's already $100 cheaper here than Australia, so I'm definitely winning!

    This is the review everyone actually needs. :) I returned mine especially because of the "inconspicuous food shots" point only because I ended up get the Meta Smart glasses. HOWEVER, without the smart glasses, this Osmo Action 5 is definitely less conspicuous in cafe ordering/meal interactions than even the Pocket 3.

    • @aransamson
      @aransamson  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I think its even less conspicuous than a phone even. Its just so small. The glasses seem super interesting though! Thanks for stopping by!

    I love my action 5 pro. Is your footage straight out of camera or Dlog? And what settings do you use? Great video especially good indoors! May I ask your inside settings? Such as on train or inside restaurant?

    • @aransamson
      @aransamson  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Hey! The footage is 10bit straight out of camera, with auto exposure set to -.3 stops. I trusted the camera a lot to get the best image and I think it turned out great! I just increased slightly contrast and saturation on post.

    Nice video, I've been looking for this kind of video before but haven't found any 😀 Did you hold the camera by hand throughout the entire video, or did you use a camera handle or tripod for some parts? Also, how does it feel to hold the camera? Does it tend to overheat during use?

    • @aransamson
      @aransamson  23 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I hand-held it for most of this video! No issues with heat, actually it was quite convenient as the record button starts recording even if the camera was off.

    Man im going to japan and ph in 1 1/2 weeks but got the osmo pocket 3 and didn't open it yet. Idk if should return it for acepro 2 (i know this is an osmo video tho). Considering it might rain LOL

    • @aransamson
      @aransamson  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      oh wow enjoy your trip! but for rainy conditions, I have to recommend either the ace pro 2 or the DJI Action. I don't think the pocket 3 would handle rain well.

    • @kryztofah8519

      @@aransamson I'll probably end up just using my phones if it rains tbh. I already bought accessories for the pocket but can't return since they're from aliexpress. Would be a waste. The quality looks too good to change it out. :/

    Thank you for making this video so we can see how it performs irl. Would you recommend this as an alternative for DJI Osmo Pocket 3? I’ve been wanting to purchase OP3 for daily and travel vlogs, but it’s sold out everywhere here in the Ph 🥲

    • @aransamson
      @aransamson  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      this definitely is a good alternative! I would have gotten the pocket actually, but I thought the action 5 would be better for my purposes as I tend to be a little more rough with my use 😅 either option would be good for vlogging I think! The action 5 also has a remote handle thing that can help with vlogging, if that interests you
