I have been pacing my room for the past hour listening to this over and over again. I'm sure you amazing musicians at Two Steps From Hell will never see this, but I still feel that this must be written. I've been listening to your music for quite a few years now, but it wasn't until tonight that I heard this. As soon as O Holy Night started playing, I recognized it. It is of course one of my favorite Christmas songs. At the moment that the part was played where you would usually hear someone sing "fall on your knees," well... I literally fell on my knees! I have looked so long for a rendition of that song such as the one you did in this medley. I was so shocked by how amazing that music sounded, I was moved to tears! Allow me to assure you, no piece of music has ever been able to make me cry. I congratulate you on such an achievement! I'm sure you're very busy, but I would absolutely love to hear a full song of the Two Steps From Hell version of O Holy Night. Thank you so much for the music you have made throughout these years! It just keeps getting better!
" *As I entered through the gates of the town*, a beautiful scene revealed before my eyes. Every rooftop me was covered in thick layers of snow, giving the place a somewhat magical look, as if taken from a fairy tale. Tall trees were placed at every street corner, with tiny colorful lights floating around them, softly blinking as I passed near them. I kept walking around the snowy streets, looking around, hypnotized from the view. Every window was shining with the warm light of a dancing fire inside, giving a cozy and warm feeling to anyone who peeked, even with the freezing wind blowing outside. It was a fantastic feeling. A feeling of home, you could say. On my way within the town, an old lady in a long, white snow coat greeted me warmly. "Hello, young one. Are you lost?" she said in a big smile. "No, not at all. I'm just looking around." "Aha! Wonderful, isn't it? Nothing like the festive spirit of the white holiday, I would say. Quite the feeling. One could never have enough of it!" she replied and smiled again. "Excuse me, but... what is the white holiday?" I asked, confused. Her eyes opened in surprise. "Well I'll be! You don't know the white holiday, young one?" "Not really..." I mumbled. "You're not from around here, are you?" "No ma'am. I come from far away, on a journey to explore the big world." "Ah! Well well..." she said, giving me a thorough look. "Fear not, dear. I know just what to do." She put her hand on my shoulder, crouched next to me and pointed out to the distance. "See that large building there? Go there." she smiled. "All your questions will be answered there." I followed her finger and could notice the pale silhouette of a tall building at the distance, barely seen behind the falling snowflakes. "I will, ma'am. Thank you!" "Don't mention it. Good luck with your travels, young one!" she smiled once again and waved me goodbye, then turned and continued on her way. I started crossing the town to the other side, wondering what I'll find there. The outlines of the building became more and more solid as I got closer, and as I finally reached my destination, I found a large and tall stone building standing in front of me. Two towers were growing out it's angled roof, and sculptures of all kinds of creatures were craved in it's buildings, with large stone wings craved behind them. A huge wooden door was in front, three times my size probably, yet it swiftly opened to the lightest touch of my hand. As I entered the building, the sound of singing people filled my ears, echoing from the stone walls of the long corridor in front of me. I walked down to a second, smaller door at the other side of it, trying to figure out where the noise came from, yet when I opened the next door, my question was answered: In the large hall in front of me were hundreds of people, singing. A marvelous chorus came out of their mouths, in a language I never heard before. It was a happy melody of some kind, very warm and lifting. Their voices echoed inside the hall from everywhere, as if the music surrounds us in an invisible ring. I stood there, speechless, stunned by the wonderful scenario, as the sound of their choir filled my mind. And then, suddenly, a calm feeling I couldn't explain suddenly washed me from inside and filled my throat. I walked towards the people and joined their rows, and then, without thinking, I started singing with them. I didn't know the words nor the melody, but they still came out on their own, accurate and loud. And there I stood, together with everyone, singing the song of our hearts, and in a one last crescendo came the words I never heard before, yet felt so welcoming: *We wish you a merry Christmas* *We wish you a merry Christmas* *We wish you a merry Christmas* *And a happy new year!* " _~Opalium_ **Thanks for reading!
It just keeps getting better!
a winning Christmas music for people who surviving this 2020

I'm just looking around."
"Aha!
You don't know the white holiday, young one?"
"Not really..." I mumbled.
"You're not from around here, are you?"
"No ma'am. I come from far away, on a journey to explore the big world."
"Ah! Well well..." she said, giving me a thorough look. "Fear not, dear. I know just what to do."
She put her hand on my shoulder, crouched next to me and pointed out to the distance.
"See that large building there? Go there." she smiled. "All your questions will be answered there."
I followed her finger and could notice the pale silhouette of a tall building at the distance, barely seen behind the falling snowflakes.
"I will, ma'am. Thank you!"
"Don't mention it.
I walked down to a second, smaller door at the other side of it, trying to figure out where the noise came from, yet when I opened the next door, my question was answered:
In the large hall in front of me were hundreds of people, singing.
And there I stood, together with everyone, singing the song of our hearts, and in a one last crescendo came the words I never heard before, yet felt so welcoming:
*We wish you a merry Christmas*
*We wish you a merry Christmas*
*We wish you a merry Christmas*
*And a happy new year!* "

redshades Best story ever.
This version of Hark, The Herald Angels Sing should be the theme of the next Civilization game. Epic beyond human comprehension.
Merry Christmas to Two Steps from hell, for bringing this wonderful music.😁 And to everyone.🎄🎄
This...is Christmas in Heaven. Every time I listen to this, I see myself joining all the other Saints on our way to the temple, and at 3:01, we see Lord Yahweh Himself, and "O Holy Night" is when He speaks. "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" is the Hosts of Heaven wishing all of Creation a merry Christmas.
I come back here every Christmas...
Two Steps From Hell, thank you for showing us that magic is real. Have a merry, epic Christmas; you deserve nothing less, forever. 🎄🎁🎉
merry Christmas for all humanity, the sicks, the poors, for everyone that needs help in this chaotic world earth
I come back to listen this every year.
Merry Christmas to anyone reading this in 2019!
I am listening to this as my first official Christmas medley of the year. Within a month and a half left until the new decade begins, it's seems so fitting that we close the 2010s with some glorious epic music!
Thank you TSFH for making this 4 years ago!
If have a routine since the upload of this medley, that the first Christmas music I listen to every year ON PURPOSE is this medley :D
the epic happiness of this is too much to handle. It gives me tears.
The part that kicks in at 4:40 always gives me chills, and is easily the best part of the song (the rest of which is also excellent)
Every year listing to this is a tradition for me
Best christmas gift ever!
+ThePrehistoricMaster Yay I found you again! Also I didn't know you liked TSFH too that's awesome!
Ha, hi! :D Yeah, I love TSFH, I like epic music in general.
ThePrehistoricMaster Same :)
+ThePrehistoricMaster "Dear santa..."
+Opalium Write the book.

Merry Xmas!!
N E V E R...... THIS IS IT
I need a full version SO BAD
I can totally imagine this as the finale to my 1st through 20th level D&D campaign. When everyone is celebrating the defeat of an ancient evil in Waterdeep, with fireworks in the sky and people dancing in the streets. Thanks so much for posting, this has given me a lot of muse.
This Christmass war march still survived in 2019, and in many years to come
Jesus Christ bless you! Merry Christmas full of love!
Heaven Freedom AND PRESENTS, SO MANY GIFTS,
by far my favorite Christmas compilation!! I play this every year for Christmas 🎄.
Who else discovered this as a young child and still finds it just as inspiring. Seems like we’re all in the same boat here haha
Best tune I keep hearing it for five years.
Me closing my eyes, forgetting it's a Two Steps From Hell piece, vibing and zoning out, relaxing to this and all of a sudden 3:01 happens 😅
The ending sounds like something from the finale of an epic Christmas movie!
That's just TwoStepsFromHell things ;)
Making things even holidays as epic as possible :D
+Juriel Primary And that is why TSFH is one of my favorite instrumental bands. :D
JoyStar
I like instrumentals because they make you think of your own adventure, your very own story :D
TSFH just made instrumentals to a whole new level :D
I've JUST discovered this and damn it - I'm not a fan of Christmas atmosphere at all, but it literally brought tears to my eyes. Especially the powerful part of... "Holy night" it was?
Oh God, I would sell my soul for an opportunity to hear it live!
Two things in the year that I wait for the most: Christmas and TSFH's songs.
And they managed to combine them...
2016
2017
2018
2019
2020 I am still here
Merry Christmas guys
Glory to the One that was born to save humanity, Glory in the heavens as on Earth. I can only imagine what is to listen to mighty legions of angels sing the Glory of God.....absolute extasy
You talking about trump?
@@reecev2087 Ahahahahaha, he may be one sent to straight things up. In the end he's full of lacks like all the apostles or the prophets of the old testment were....Why not Trump...the ways of God are infinite.
It's August but this is honestly one of the most beautiful songs written by them so I felt like I had to listen to it again.
Well, how about listening to it now? It's December, you're welcome for the reply/notification :D
If Thomas Bergersen slapped me across the face, I'd say, "Thank you".
Same here.
He wouldn't, though...
He's practically an angel.
I think.
it'd be more like "thank you for giving me the honor to be touched by you"
Or you'd fly through the next wall due to the strength of a thousand men...
His slap would be like Blessings because after getting slapped from him you'll for sure become BLISSFUL ... 🥰🥰🥰
Hm, a relaxed Christmas medley from TSFH? That just doesn't seem like the- ****3:00** happens** Ok! There they are!
thats the moment when you realise. the cavalrie has arrived.
I thought EXACTLY the same xD
I know I'm late, but they should make an entire song just based around the idea of 3:00. I really liked that part, much better than the parts after that.
@@peperoni_pepino it might sound so good because there is a build up to it
Just glorious. No other holiday has inspired such a beautiful array of music.
Can't believe that I just found this. Have been a fan of 2SFH for many years.
it's not christmas?
don't care
