Yes! TSFH never releases enough recording videos. I would also love to see cuts of soloists, non-orchestral instrumentalists, and the lead vocalists, even if they are just in a studio.
What a wonderful combination of orchestra and electric guitar!!! Folk, choir and elements of rock - brilliant!!! An inspirational and motivational composition!!! Bravo Master Thomas!!!👌
*I am SO ANXIOUS to see the live orchestral version of HERCULES !!* In my humble opinion is the most epic track of this album, I get so pumped up listening to it.
I don't know, Shiver Me Timpanis gets me all hot and bothered. This album probably has the most songs of any album that I equally enjoy, usually I'll find like 2-3, but with Myth, there's like 12 tracks that are absolutely epic.
For me I have two favourites. Phantom is great for its really catchy tune, and is like a shot of adrenaline into my veins. Meanwhile I also really like the slower build-up of Amethyst Prince, which is everything I loved about Emerald Princess (hands down my favourite track in Dragon) but condensed into a shorter and more concentrated burst.
It's too bad the guitar and drums were recorded separately, though I'd imagine it's necessary. I LOVE the finished product, but it would be neat to hear a version with just the orchestra and choir shown in the video!
3:51 i was waiting for someone to run in off stage slide in on their knees and nail that guitar solo. Love the album, just hope away with your faeries gets a release sometime, my favortie song of this album
It also works great doing control system/instrumentation engineering in petrochem multi-plant facility 30+ years into career. PS: put THIS on when driving in Houston or San Antonio traffic....make it an epic journey.
Absolutely love this track, simply amazing. The dramatic and epic orchestra together with the band and the catchy melodies really got the the first time I listened to it, and the guitar solo gives me goosebumps. I have been listening to TsfH for a couple of years now, have nearly 50 tracks in my "Best of..." playlist on Spotify, but this track here is an absolute masterpiece among them all. It is simply amazing that Thomas Bergersen still composes tracks like these. Looking forward to seeing them live in 2023!
My „best-of“ playlist has been growing for years too and while many like the old pieces of tsfh, I prefer the newer ones like this one. Everytime you think „wow thats my favorite song“ Thomas peeks around the corner with an even better masterpiece 😉
This came at such a good time for me. I'm struggling with my mental health at the moment and have had a rough few days. This music makes me feel like I can overcome anything, and seeing the performers enhances that feeling. I hope that I'll be able to see you live someday. I hope everyone who goes to the concerts has an amazing time!
One of your greatest albums you’ve ever made. Dragonborn has rapidly become one of my top Two Steps songs of all time. It’s absolutely incredible. Can’t wait to see you live in London on Sunday.
It was an absolute treat indeed! Hopefully, this is the start of many more tours to come! There's so a massive catalogue of songs to choose from, they could tour for years and still not get through all of their songs.
Can I just take this time to say thanks to TSFH for this album. It helped to get me through my exams. I will always appreciate the music you make and every new video makes my day.
Definitely an amazing orchestra and choir. I love seeing all of the different types of instruments and the rapid pace of performing. Another amazing video and music from TSFH!
Wow, the mix of metal and traditional music sublimated by an epic orchestration and art music, it's just beautiful. Congratulations Thomas Bergersen and thank you !!!
For all those who say, "the video doesn't exactly match the music we hear", know that this is just "the music video", and like any music video, the artist is free to show what he can and what he wants. If you want real live performances, either attend their current tour (for those who can) or wait for the videos of these concerts🙂
Yes, but to be fair..it is irritating when you just see the orchestra playing. It makes you think it is an actual recording. I would liked it better if there were some more different shots and cuts. Or an actual live performance. The music is great nevertheless (although I thought that Two Steps From Hell only produce commercial music with digital workstations?)
@@C1Ansy The same orchestra as in the video recorded the piece at the same place, on the same session. They just made a couple of additional performances of the whole thing for the purpose of cinematic shots, and the ones that are stationary are probably from when they were actually recording. There is little functional difference between this video and what you're asking for, virtually all "official clips" where you see the musicians perform are made this way :) As for it being an actual recording, Thomas has been using live orchestras for a long time now, although he did start with samples
I've noticed serious Nightwish vibes from a few of Thomas' songs, recently, namely from his solo albums. But this one in particular, I agree, gives me them more than the others.

I wasn't expecting the publication of this track anytime soon, what a pleasant surprise! Despite the countless masterpieces, you never stop to amaze us, this track is amazing! And the recording video brings another dimension to the track. Thank you Thomas!
Made by Claudio Pietronik, he appears on a few of the pieces of TSFH and you can find some of his work on his channel here : www.youtube.com/@ClaudioPietronikOfficial , extremely talented guy with his own style 👌
I wish the concerts in EU had this setup but I understand how complicated it would be to have a full orchestra + piano + drums + electronic effects at the same time. But gosh, I'd kill to watch this from one of those seats in this theater.

Thank You TSFH for letting me whitness to this masterpiece!
Wow, a masterful composition. Thomas Bergersen is absolutely unrivalled in this style of music! Watching this video however it doesn't quite look like the piece being performed is the piece we're hearing. Similarly with High C's, some edits seemed to work well with the synch but overall I couldn't shake the feeling that it's not the same piece. I could be way off the mark there and of course you have to wonder why that would be done in the first place! Just out of interest, I'd love to hear the purely orchestral parts of this, it's such a mammoth mix and when the drums and guitar kick in they overpower. That's not a criticism of the mix, it's absolutely fantastic, I'd just love to hear the orchestra as a bonus track or something.
Two Steps From Hell, never disappoint . A full orchestra session witha big choir . A metal classical piece with folk passages. A myth indeed. Here is I think the orchestra background music part recording sessions , behind scenes... epic.
This is spectacular! Every second I was intrigued wondering how it could get better! I’m constantly blown away by the beautiful works of TSFH. This gave me goosebumps, and will be listening to this for many years to come. I wish to see them live one day!
If you don't mind me asking, is there any specific reason why the didn't film or include clips of you at the drums or Claudio at the guitar? I would have really liked to see that mixed in with the orchestra recordings

I still need the 12 minute version... Thomas, you gave us tracks like Return To Sender, Emerald Princess and Impossible, yet you think we wouldn't want Myth 12 minute version? Oh please, the more the better!
Another masterpiece by Thomas. The part at 3:50 is my favorite. So good. Though, I wish he had recorded the initial 12 min, I want the #ReleaseTheThomasBergersenCut 8 min is not enough. I hope we can one day listen to the original 12 min cut of the song
@@Aegis_Mind when they released the album, they made a livestreaming in this channel. Thomas himself said the original song was 12 min and he trimmed it down to 8.
My top TSFH songs currently 1. Myth 2. Impossible 3. Colors of love 4. Victory 5. Winterspell 6. Starsky 7. United we stand divided we fall 8. Birth of a hero 9. Fearless 10. Northern pastures
Probably like every artists, excited at the start, and rewriting it again and again to polish it for days and week. Ending up bored by your own composition, doubting about yourself and finally releasing it in hope to jump on another song newer and more exciting for yourself.
I can only get a glimpse of it as I’ve done arrangements for marching bands of Thomas’s songs (Flight of the Silverbird, El Dorado, Heart of Courage and Kesh Jig/Away With Your Fairies) and I’m all giddy and giggly when I’m getting closer to the end of putting it together.
This composition is in direct competition with High C's for the finest piece of music I've ever heard. I don't have any other recording of anything that can get me so amped so quickly.
what a great composer you became Thomas. Since Nemesys gigastudio forum 1998 you shock us with your geniality creating your custom samples and composing amazing music. Now you have a real orchestra in your hands (not an old AMD thunderbird lol or Pentium LOL).I'm so Happy to see your success and as i always said for you, wating for your Oscar.
Absolutely amazing doesn't even begin to cover how I feel about this track! Hot damn! I wonder how the musicians resisted the urge to headbang with the badass tunes they were making.
This marvel of music brought with itself a grand mystery. I don't know if it is the absolute genius of this man at work, or something wrong with my brain. This song sounds different everytime I listen to it. Literally. I heard it over speakers, I heard it over headphones, quite a few times so far, and almost every time I listen to it, my brain goes like "hey wait a minute this part wasn't in this song, how did they add it, the upload date didn't change" it's the weirdest thing ever, yet us makes the whole experience all the more magical. Thomas, somewhere deep in my soul I kinda hope you're actually immortal. Also, please, with all my heart, in the next recording video, show us the drummer and guitarist as well in the recording studio, I know you couldn't bundle them with the orchestra but they both deserve recognition for what they did. Thank you
It's pretty much an increase of awareness. It's not just related to music, it's everywhere. You are getting used to some patterns and then you start to see more "in-depth", little details that didn't occur until that point. In music it's about instruments, in astronomy about more details like star clusters appear with the naked eye in places you were never aware about. In language, you suddenly start to realize at random times the actual meaning and terminology of often used words.
Probably my favorite part of this song is the Electronic Guitar solo that shows up about half way through (3:51), its just so awesome! I’ve don’t remember hearing an electric guitar solo in a cinematic orchestra song. Epic touch. 🌟 ❤️
I want to give a massive thanks to all the incredible musicians for their lifetime dedication and commitment to excellence so we can enjoy such masterpieces. I wish the mainstream media influence would recognize and favor the true artists of our time. I'm saddened by what music gains traction nowadays in the USA .
I started listening to orchestra because I needed the mood to write my novel and I found so many music channels and all are mediocre, with one or two people making music on some pre-recorded electronic pads. But this channel and this thomas guy. He's on another level. He's full on orchestra squad with real instruments lol XD
At least 95% of the so called epic, trailer music done these days is made with VSTs, virtual instruments which sounds really boring and cliché. Using a real orchestra totally makes the difference.
The transition after brass to strings section then to guitars and back to brass + strings also vocal and when double pedal drum hit the it is mind blowing e

Another masterpiece by Thomas. The part at 3:50 is my favorite. So good. Though, I wish he had recorded the initial 12 min, I want the #ReleaseTheThomasBergersenCut 8 min is not enough. I hope we can one day listen to the original 12 min cut of the song
12 minutes?! Where did you hear that this track is actually 12?!
@@Aegis_Mind when they released the album, they made a livestreaming in this channel. Thomas himself said the original song was 12 min and he trimmed it down to 8.
yeah i was hoping as well this video would be the 12minutes version but no :'(
@@DJBTV1 man i wish i coulda made the stream ):
I'd love that! to me we are legends 13 min is much better than the 7 min one! I'd have been so sad if the 7 min one was the only one ever released
Utterly bonkers, my favorite track from the album ❣️
Friday night has never been so epic! I absolutely love this monster!
(And we need the original 12 mins!! Hear us, Thomas!)
Ahhhhhh COME ON AN GET IT! Bravo! Bravo! What a wonderful and powerful sound, and out of such order!
I admire their self control; if I was in that choir I'd be grinning all the way through...
Listening and seeing a full choir and orchestra on the same stage gives me goosebumps every time listening to this!

BlackHeart is the best for me
Run Free is sooooo underrated.
And I couldn't not include Flight of the Silverbird personnaly
Actually am in awe of your creativity, it takes my breath away. Keep on creating the miracle of music. They are your supporter.
This music is flaming. I honestly can’t imagine what were the composers feeling when they wrote it! Absolutely marvelous masterpiece!

The panning shots add so much life to this. Props and glory to the cameramen!
what a great composer you became Thomas.
3:51 Amazing guitar introduction with amazing melody !
Epic touch. 🌟 ❤️
This album just went straight into my top favourites, it's great
I want to give a massive thanks to all the incredible musicians for their lifetime dedication and commitment to excellence so we can enjoy such masterpieces. I wish the mainstream media influence would recognize and favor the true artists of our time. I'm saddened by what music gains traction nowadays in the USA .
Excellent, no words
Yes
I started listening to orchestra because I needed the mood to write my novel and I found so many music channels and all are mediocre, with one or two people making music on some pre-recorded electronic pads. But this channel and this thomas guy. He's on another level. He's full on orchestra squad with real instruments lol XD
At least 95% of the so called epic, trailer music done these days is made with VSTs, virtual instruments which sounds really boring and cliché. Using a real orchestra totally makes the difference.
Omg 2:50 and what's next is just straigth one of the most beaitiful melodies I have ever heard. I'm flying 😍😍😍
The transition after brass to strings section then to guitars and back to brass + strings also vocal and when double pedal drum hit the it is mind blowing e

Какая слаженность и четкость! Буйство стихии и восторг! Очень стимулирует! Спасибо.
What a SUPER STUNNING BRILLIANT "REAL MUSIC" out of this world TRULY Professional music composition. WOW! I ONLY listen to TSFH music these days since 2010. BRAVO and HUGE Thanks to you Thomas Bergersen. THE TOP MUSIC genius of our time.
What a monster/masterpiece ❤️ would love to one day also see the percussionists in one of these videos 🙏
Realmente no lo entiendo banda, pero de vez en cuando TSFH me hace llorar con sus canciones. Es como si te animarán a seguir con algo. Siempre será mi banda favorita.
I'm totally fan of this one... It helps me on writting my son's Book for the last battle. Thank you for your musics!!!
Thank you very much for blessing our eyes and ears with this! The entire album is amazing (as usual) but Myth is a particular favorite of mine! 🥰
And do I detect Claudio Pietronik on the electric guitar? Because I think I do😆
of course you do, how can we miss him, his style and sound is so unique 😉👍
Another fantastic performance, hope u guys consider touring in Asia
