The outdoor seating up the front is a nice touch.

It looks great to do the great loop on. Its doesn't appear to be designed to cross oceans.

I know this is a very late reply. I've got one of these boats. i've traveled from the US to Bahamas and all around them. Have also crossed the Gulf. This winter we are heading to the Caribbean. Holding 1000 gallons of fuel, it has a good cruising distance but i'm not sure i would take any 48 ft power boat across the oceans to europe, med or other long distance like that.

@@CaptSteveRussell Hi! Is this boat still being built? If so where can I see one?

@@austinduncan1 Bob Vincent sold the company last year to ArrowCat that really only wanted the Manufacturing and Boat Yard facilities for their own boats. Although they say they will build one if requested, it is not on their normal business radar. There are only 10 48' built. I happen to have one of them and just sold one to a client a couple of months ago. they are the only two in quite awhile to sell and all the others are still owned by their original owners, dating back to 2006. you can go to Endeavourcats.com

@@CaptSteveRussell Thanks for the info. I truly do appreciate it. Currently I'm looking seriously at a SolarWave 64 by Silent Yachts. I will most likely order one around the 1st of the coming year.

It looks like an inexperienced designer planed that boat. Only exceptional idea was the way the shower stall was built.

I'm not sure what you are talking about. The boat is built solid. i've had it in heavy seas and rides as good as any mono of the same size without stabilizers. The living is extremely comfortable. they have been building sail boats, sailing cats and powercats since the 70's and are a solid boat.

That looks about as sea worthy as my grandmother's garden shed.

      why exactly ?

I've lived on my 48 for 4 years now. Have crossed the Atlantic to the Bahamas and the Gulf to Alabama. Several times in moderately heavy seas. Now maybe you like to travel in 6+ foot seas but for the rest of us, 4-5 is as bad as i'll do. I've had it in 4 ft and it rode better then most monohulls of the same size. it's all about the angles.

@@-BUFFALOMan Have you seen the huge windows? Nop protection, no Portuguese bridge, nothing. They will take everything on the nose. One angry wave on a crossing and you're history. And the high centre of gravity with nothing to balance it out? There's a reason why small ocean-going boats look the way they do. As far as basement living is concerned, I learned to sail in the Navy Cadets and have been at it for over 20 years. I'm sure this boat if fun for the loop and coastal cruising, but I personally would not take it anywhere offshore.
