I'm almost like Jon but it's certain smells I can't smell, so when everyone one around me is complaining about a terrible smell, I stay quiet because I can't relate.

Depends on the level of how bad it is. For me, I can still taste but I don't know about Jon. He really needs to explain more about why he can't smell.
Also, I learned this from human bio, if you have missing nosehairs, you can't smell to a certain degree, which is why I can't smell certain bad scents but I still can for sweet smells.

OMG! I have no sense of smell either! I was never farted in the face for it (Thankfully), but I had to go through some "tests" too. No sense of smell proven. My Fiancé was so baffled by it he looked it up before our first date and basically informed me that I have Anosmia because I never cared enough to look it up or truthfully I didn't think it had a name or was a "medical condition" lol!
