the slr02 is just slightly heavier by 100-150grams and no integrated handlebar/stem combo, but you can put any stem/bar on there to easily offset the 100-150grams as the stock BMC integrated bar is very heavy.
Christophe Hebert-Lacasse untrue, the 2020 01 and 02 have different carbon layups. You’re thinking of Roadmachine 01 and 02, who do share the same exact frame but have a different fork.
What was the total weight of bike as tested, was it under 7kg as many of the older climbing bikes are?, my Cannondale Evo is 6.4kg ready to ride. Cheers.
Nice review fella.. I just crashed my SLR01 2016 Looking at getting this over the 2021 model, it’s not a pretty and only comes with SRAM. You’re review may have just swung me in that direction, but the steel grey and white version.
You mentioned you have reviewed a Specialized Tarmac on your channel but couldn't find that anywhere? Saw you've done a Venge Vias but not the Tarmac which looks and has a lot of similar features to this BMC as I have a mid range model. Perhaps you could review one?
Just purchased this frame 👌 Waiting for the new DT Swiss ARC 1100 DICUT to release in January 🙂 and get this belter built up. Your review helped me with my decision.. cheers from the UK
I still have a hard time determining the differences between this version and last year's model... unless this is the old and outgoing model Also why would you not put the aero bottle cages on it?
I’d like a review of the SLR02 bike as a comparison. I think there’s a diminishing return on top end bikes. You pay 2x as much for maybe a 10% improvement
Yes.. frame is light.. but that integrated cockpit is heavy. Until companies are willing to spend money without breaking the buyer's bank account to make nice lightweight carbon versions then the bike's weight is easily offset by the heavy handlebar/stem combo. The sworks tarmac sl6 disc is still lighter than the BMC for less money, but the new sl7 will be heavier just like what the emonda did with their latest new one. Full integrated cockpits are just heavy.
I’m enjoying the bike so far th-cam.com/users/postUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA My only real complaints are the brakes and the pedals. I feel like a bike designed for bigger people should have much larger pedals and more heavy duty brakes. I’ve only gotten two really good rides out of it, minimal downhill action, and the brakes feel like they’re already going out. A larger person has more momentum, so I think this wasn’t thought through very well. Also, I wear size 13-14 wide shoes. My feet cramp up on these pedals that are clearly made for smaller feet. Since I’m not a pro rider (and I don’t think many are who purchase this bike) I don’t think that the straps on the pedal are necessary at all. None of this takes away from the enjoyment I get from riding, however. I’ll just head to a bike shop to improve on a few things.
the price is just rediculous, its a bike. yeah, made of carbon. most expensive in the process: tooling equipment (moulds etc) / desinging the bike geometry and final element anaylis to optimize the carbon lay-up. then you need some bearings, groupset and wheels. all can be made relatively cheap. production cost all together: 2000USD MAX.
You will be saying no to every top spec bike to be manufactured going forward. New tarmac...disc only...new BMC...disc only...new giant...disc only...good luck
I’ve got exactly the same bike (stealth edition “19) with dm rim brakes, ics stem and da 9100 mechanical , size 54. I’ts light, stiff, fast and brakes like hell 👍
My experience with BMC warranty has been so bad I would not recommend their brand to anybody. They do not even have the decency to reply to messages left on their website.
Would love to know if the cheaper slr02 version is noticeably different, especially considering most of us wouldn’t be able to afford the 01.
the slr02 is just slightly heavier by 100-150grams and no integrated handlebar/stem combo, but you can put any stem/bar on there to easily offset the 100-150grams as the stock BMC integrated bar is very heavy.
I will ride it next time I am up there
slr02 2020 is the same frameset than the 01, just different integration. Last years models were different wight and stiffness but not 2020
Christophe Hebert-Lacasse untrue, the 2020 01 and 02 have different carbon layups. You’re thinking of Roadmachine 01 and 02, who do share the same exact frame but have a different fork.
The Cinematography was on point
Came here to say this
Cheers Nick
Been riding a 2014 BMC Impec with 110,000 miles on it. Love it
What was the total weight of bike as tested, was it under 7kg as many of the older climbing bikes are?, my Cannondale Evo is 6.4kg ready to ride. Cheers.
This and the sworks venge have to be among the best looking frames I've seen
For the SLR02 go for the Rim version rather than the Disk. Its amazing. Please. Direct mount rim brakes.
You forgot the freehub sound check
In the new ones haha
Can you please review the giant propel advanced disc 2020
Check out the Rose Pro SL 2020 disc. They did an integration sorta like that for cheap. Really cool. Makes the competing Canyon look old!
Like the fact the bar and stem isn't a one piece. Cool bike. Nice design. Yeah be cool comparing this to the SLR02. Cheers
Just ordered my 2020 SLR02 disc one w/SRAM etap. Would love to see your review of the SLR02.
You’ve got a really nice bike. Btw where did u shoot this video?
For The Price, It Has Got To Be One Of Best You’ve Ridden
New 2021 Trek Emonda - would be interested in your views as the spec / weights varies a lot between the 800 & 500 series carbon models
This bike is amazingly clean & sleek, strongly considering getting one.
Hi Tom , yes a review of the Slr02 would be 👍
Very classy looking rig &aero to the max!! Love that Supacaz Sticky Kush bartape-this is what you need on your GT Scott 🤑🤑🤑
Nice review fella.. I just crashed my SLR01 2016

Great machine . BMC is King
can you review the cannondale caad13 vs the specialized allez sprint - the two 'best' alloy bikes on the market?
Add the BMC Team Machine ALR Disc to that list!
Would like to see a review of top of the range Evo and see what you think in comparison with these other bikes...
Just purchased this frame 👌
Waiting for the new DT Swiss ARC 1100 DICUT to release in January 🙂
and get this belter built up.
Your review helped me with my decision.. cheers from the UK
Did you have any problem with press bottom bracket?
I have a BMC teammachine and it's a wicked road bike. Too bad I cracked the top tube after getting caught in a washout on some gravel the other day😥
Is that bike done for?
Bmc team machine ftw
@@the7thwave520 nope, repair job has the thing looking and riding like new.
i think that's the best looking bike i've seen in 2020 so far. wow
whats your recommendation on sizing? how tall are you? (inseam) and what size bike did you review?
nice vid tom. was just in Cambridge not that long ago and went into spoken just to see Alex and look at some of the nice bikes that they have.
Cheers Craig, cool store aye
CyclingTom yup for sure
What a nice review man!
I wonder how light is too light with regards to frame weight?
looks so much better than the 2021 version
In the market for an affordable di2 bike keen to hear your thoughts on the new SLR bikes
Just by reading the comments, Dude u gotta so much to do review on. Great channel.
I appreciate that!
Nice intro btw, I suggest reviewing the Giant Propel
New subscriber here. Great channel. Would like to see test for Giant Propel 2019 or newer model.
Cheers, I will look into it
Nice cus I just bought one, cant wait to put a pedal stroke on it.
Awesome, let me know what you think
I still have a hard time determining the differences between this version and last year's model... unless this is the old and outgoing model
Also why would you not put the aero bottle cages on it?
The new one is 2021 model year... this is the outgoing bike, did not come with the aerocore cages yet.
Did they solve the fork issues? that was a disaster!
Not your normal range, but it would be cool to see your review of a 2020 Trek Domane SL7.
I’d like a review of the SLR02 bike as a comparison. I think there’s a diminishing return on top end bikes. You pay 2x as much for maybe a 10% improvement
Can you test the bmc tmr01 so we can see the difference
a 14000 € bike and you keep it standing with a branch? Love it
Great video.. Slr02 review please.. can't afford the 01.. thanks..

Can you please review the Giant TCR Advanced SL0 disc 2020
My next bike saving up for it, definitely worth it. Ill go for sram red axes groupset forusre
I have the same bike with Sram red axs and mavic cosmic carbone sl pro wheels and it is the best bike I have ever owned or riden. Period

All my bikes use a extradite hyperstem FTW
For $14,000, after a ride I hope my nether regions feel like they were gently massaged by golden hands.
Hahaha
Please review the specialized tarmac pro or venge pro 2020?
New suscriber from Argentina 🤘
Cheers!
Мэн спасибо тебе из России,, очень интересно тебя смотреть, так держать продолжай в том же духе!!! Респект!!! 👍👍👍
Your intros are enough to shame some high level organization's reviewing bikes

Canyon Ultimate Evo 10.0
Very very good review

Please review the SLR 02!!
Beautiful Bike, too nice to ride! Needs to be exhibited in a art galley!
Trek Emonda 2021 😱💪🏻
Review some bikes that we might be able to afford 😂
cannodale superevo 2020..please?
for 14k it should pump it’s own tires and wash itself. spending more than 5k on a 🚲 is insanity.
Got the weight?
so what’s the weight of the bike (not the frame)?🤷🏼♂️
7.1kg, discs are still a bit heavy.
FramE size and ur height?
Total bike weight please
Would love to see SLR02 review

Factor One
The only i can afford there is that stick holding up that bike
It’s got disc brakes, so that’ll be no
disc brakes are superior, i cant afford a nice bike with discs at the moment but if you are in a hilly area they beat all.
Rim brakes are dead. And they're not coming back like vinyl records did.
You will be saying no to every top spec bike to be manufactured going forward. New tarmac...disc only...new BMC...disc only...new giant...disc only...good luck
mayalman luckily I won’t be buying a top spec bike
