The story and narrative of both Blur and Boggles is immaculate,,, and it's motivated me to rewatch Boggle and try pointing out details or connecting possible references that COULD be present, hence, why I'm commenting,, -Starting off, one thing I noticed, that may be missed or overlooked, is the use of yellow in the overworld. For Boggle, it's not used much, apart from the moon and obvious places where it should be (Koen's rings), however, I did notice that in one part, there's a hint of faint yellow light streaming through the water, which could be a small detail to how it shifts to black and yellow animation, I choose to think of the extra yellow as their thoughts. For Koen, those thoughts are slowly and subtly making their way into his mind at this moment, and when it shifts to his thoughts, it's sudden, no transition, and quick, which could be why he's seen to be surprised or shocked. It could also be seen as Koen's urge and desire for more, something burning and building up inside. -Part 2 of the last observation, for Blurt, the excess yellow is there more often, from the shooting stars to even gleams of light in Aster's eyes. I believe this could be seen as Aster constantly having these thoughts on his mind. He's laidback and takes things slow. In Boggle, he's seen most of the time in thought or just in a calm state, however, that's just how he appears on the outside. With all this time relaxing, he has a lot of time to think about things, with the thoughts of what Koen wants and what he thinks about it being possible candidates. Unlike Koen's, Aster HAS a transition, it's slow and builds up to the same yellow and back animations Boggle has, his transition took time and that's how he is in present day. -Turning to perspectives, I noticed that Koen (For Blurt) or Aster (For Boggle) are in the front with their eyes closed while the other is behind them, it COULD be a reference as to how the other has several things they haven't said or have kept inside from their partner, saying/doing things with their back turned though for this, it's not used negatively exactly. -Relating to the last observation, I also noticed that all their movements, both inside and outside their minds (Black and yellow parts), are done WHILE their partner's eyes are closed, which I believe is another reference to how they keep some things unsaid. However, for both Blurt and Boggle, there are parts where the partner's eyes are open and they shift to black and yellow, just like the one internally saying their thoughts/singing, which could be connected to how it's said both know what the other wants/prefers. -One last thing I've noticed that I wanted to save for last is the clock/time transition that is present in both animations. I believe it's clever and a nice thought-out detail, because in Boggle, it appears that the events during the time sequence is the possible future Koen wants, while in Blurt, the events are the cemented past Aster reminisces about, both paralleling each other and further showing what both Eeveelutions have on their minds. With the first sentence in this video's description, I believe it's pretty plausible that this is what both time sequences are, and I think it's incredible. I could be completely wrong about some of these things, but it's personally what I think about details or things I've noticed. If I notice any more later, I'll be sure to edit this comment to include them, but for now that's all I got. All of your animations are incredible and honestly, give me motivation to do more art, and the way you implement story telling in your animations is just amazing. Keep doing what you're doing!

I love that 'blurt' is so upbeat and exciting in contrast to 'boggle' being calm. It really helps portray how Koen and Aster individually feel about the situation. Aster still feels like he's moving too fast and wants to keep taking things slow, and Koen would love to speed things up but he's okay with going slow if that's what Aster needs
This is DELIGHTFUL I love the two of them so much, and I love the storytelling going on here! It looks like this is on the same night as Boggle? The two of them having so many words to say to eachother but not knowing how to while still enjoying eachother's company, a barrier as thin as paper separating their feelings... My heart YEARNS! Also, your Boggle animation is what got me to redownload my animation software and give it a proper go this time! So thank you!
@@thelittlepoppy8970 I thought about that too but I feel like it's not too hard to imagine they occasionally get up and move elsewhere at points. Meanwhile the weather, time of night, location, and general vibes and themes are all the same. That said, it doesn't actually matter that much what the intended day is beyond being curious. It just seems so much more dramatic if it's on the same day because they're both thinking the same thoughts in the opposite direction at the same time and unaware that the other person is also bothered by something, and that just seems so much more powerful in my head watching it.
Maybe they come back here night after night? Which would give the situation a sense of beautiful frustration with their deep companionship longing to be something more, but with neither of them being able to take the first step out of fear. I love the animation style and choice of music. I hope you now that many people appreciate your art mastertrapmon! :3
I remember that there was a comment talking about the difference between how koen's blackout transitions while in boggle it was just a straight cut to black and gold. Representing the differences between the two.

i literally rewatched boggle dozens of times and now THIS... so many beautiful parallels its insane. one small detail i absolutely love is when they switch to their internal voice, koen is practically yelling, while asters internal voice is much quieter and subtler. also the way aster looks up at the stars and the way koen looks at him from behind is SOOOOOOOO CUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUTE AAU U HG HGHH. this is such an absolutely incredible work of art. (also!!! my first pmd oc, and one of my longest lasting, was named aster!! hehe)
I was recommended boggle out of nowhere back then, and now another cute animation. At this rate I've gotta figure out what PMD stands for; and what it even is.
PMD stands for "Pokemon Mystery Dungeon", a Pokemon spinoff series taking place in an alternate universe where humans don't exist and talking Pokemon form society! The main characters of the games are humans-turned-Pokemon, and to the best of my knowledge there's also always a partner Pokemon that accompanies you on your journey.
I fell in love with the Boggle animation the first time I saw it, it's a pretty neat reference that both videos last 1:18 minutes long :') Keep up the amazing work, I'm invested into these two and seeing how they truly feel about each other but can't manage to express it or might be afraid of literally blurt it all out at once and mess things up? Mutual pining, perhaps?
I like to think this and boggle happen on the same night, with jolteons segment happening just before umbreons. Jolteon reminisces on the past, remembering every mistake made, and cherishing the moment, but still feeling guilt over holding umbreon back. While jolteon is at peace for once, boggle happens, with umbreon misinterpreting jolteons painful expression (from the memories) as an unconscious dislike of the quiet life they currently live

Ever since I saw what jolteon looked like in Pokémon shield i fell in love with it I think it’s one of the cutest eeveelutions and it looks even better in Pokémon violet💛⚡️
I've watched this like 50 times at this point, lol. I love all the little motifs and parallel structure between this and boggle. I love the motion and expression of the characters. I love the insanely well done transitions. I love how everything moves perfectly in time with the song; it makes my musician brain happy. It's just so good.
I almost don’t even know what to say.. but I’ll try! This is unbelievably impressive. The amount of little parallels between this and Boggle feel fantastic. My favorite detail is definitely the transition between the swipe of the Tyranitar’s claw to the shooting star. The stark contrast between both scenes really shows how much time has passed + how much Aster has grown. Love love love it!
This yellow duo is so cute!! I like how they are both focused on time, it keeps their story connected. They also have matching colors, and I really like when Aster's scar fades. Very cool :D 😁😁👍😋

oh wow i love this one a lot, especially after reading the context, being done with the high adrenaline, formerly rushing into things, now wanting to take life slow and easy... i really get this jolteon, even enjoying the night time starry night sky, i loved that scene especially, i feel a lot like him

I love the detail of the jolteon's scar healing and his cocky smile returning as time rewound to again be juxtaposed with his demeanor after time went back to present. All those little pieces give so much life to your animations.

AUGH I'M GOING TO GO CRAZY EEEEEEEEEE I AM SO SO SO HYPED. i feel like i could make an hour long analysis video of this. Gosh I love this and now I need to share it with all my friends. :D It's SO GOOD. I'm super curious how they started traveling together, and if they'll ever talk to each other! I love these little fuzzballs.
(footnote 8: one amusing thing to me is that Aster seems more cool, calm, confident on the surface, whereas Koen seems a bit bratty and young -- but of the two, Koen probably has the healthier mindset.) We then see the flashback and are reminded why it's MASTER Trapmon. :D gosh the animation is so nice. And it feels realistic, like things just went wrong all at once, before Aster could even get his bearings. (footnote 9: Tyranitar is Rock/Dark, and thus strong against both the Fire Quilava and the Normal/Flying Toucannon. This may be the mistake Aster made, to confidently dive into a bad type matchup. Surprisingly, Electric does fine! Aster getting slashed may be more to do with losing his situational awareness in the moment. Alternatively, his team may have just been outclassed.) (footnote 10: at 0:48, the lyric "What keeps me from getting sleep is if I picture you instead of sheep." Without the lyrics, the implication is that the bad memory is a nightmare that keeps Aster up. But with the lyric, and the immediate look towards Koen, it seems like what bothers Aster is... well, it's unclear, but Koen-related! [Unclearness is good, because then we can guess and relate to what's going on inside.] Is it that he's worried he might fail Koen in the same way? Does he worry about Koen seeing the strong, confident Jolteon as weak/bad? Does he worry he's failing right now as a partner?) 0:51 we can see Koen wake up and look at Aster down in the corner. Aster reacts to Koen sitting down with his eyes closed -- and Koen reacts to Aster sitting up while his eyes are closed. Both seem pretty tuned in to the soft vibrations the other is making with their movements. (footnote 11: Aster's eyes here are adorable, and the way Koen looks up at him, it really makes me wonder how much he knows. It is amusing to think that Koen keeps getting this image of Aster as totally confident and happy and missing when the Jolteon looks super anxious. Aster probably likes it that way.) (footnote 12: The way Aster looks at the moon raises the question: what does it represent for him? He looks so happy with it, with the phrase "I keep counting on the patterns to repeat" in the lyrics. He seems to think that the current status quo isn't sustainable ["I know I'm just stalling the inevitable"]. The golden moon and the shooting stars are also the same color as the energy around Aster, and the dreamlike realm both of them have, so it's hard to say what exactly it might be.) And finally, we end on the cover art Trapmon made for the Koen & Aster song, produced by Star Verse. There is a difference though! There's the same warmer reds among the clouds, and the moon is gold instead of silver. Carrying forward the theme that, perhaps, we're seeing this more through the lens of Aster. (footnote 13: if that is correct, maybe it's meaningful that in Aster's mind, the moon the same color as Koen, with Umbreons having their important connection to night. The comfort of the moon might be conflated with the comfort he has of just being around Koen, and might explain why he's so scared/ashamed of the thought of Koen seeing his inner turmoil. He knows Koen doesn't like the status quo, but Aster might nonetheless associate the Umbreon with the peace he feels in life right now.)

I fell in love with the Boggle animation the first time I saw it, it's a pretty neat reference that both videos last 1:18 minutes long :') Keep up the amazing work, I'm invested into these two and seeing how they truly feel about each other but can't manage to express it or might be afraid of literally blurt it all out at once and mess things up? Mutual pining, perhaps?

I like to think this and boggle happen on the same night, with jolteons segment happening just before umbreons. Jolteon reminisces on the past, remembering every mistake made, and cherishing the moment, but still feeling guilt over holding umbreon back. While jolteon is at peace for once, boggle happens, with umbreon misinterpreting jolteons painful expression (from the memories) as an unconscious dislike of the quiet life they currently live

I've watched this like 50 times at this point, lol. I love all the little motifs and parallel structure between this and boggle. I love the motion and expression of the characters. I love the insanely well done transitions. I love how everything moves perfectly in time with the song; it makes my musician brain happy. It's just so good.
I almost don’t even know what to say.. but I’ll try! This is unbelievably impressive. The amount of little parallels between this and Boggle feel fantastic. My favorite detail is definitely the transition between the swipe of the Tyranitar’s claw to the shooting star. The stark contrast between both scenes really shows how much time has passed + how much Aster has grown. Love love love it!
This yellow duo is so cute!! I like how they are both focused on time, it keeps their story connected. They also have matching colors, and I really like when Aster's scar fades. Very cool :D 😁😁👍😋

I love the detail of the jolteon's scar healing and his cocky smile returning as time rewound to again be juxtaposed with his demeanor after time went back to present. All those little pieces give so much life to your animations.
Bruh i just love how this intertwines with boggle, one is reminiscing the past while the other is in the moment, as the stars are ever present above them, gosh

I'm super curious how they started traveling together, and if they'll ever talk to each other! I love these little fuzzballs.
(footnote 8: one amusing thing to me is that Aster seems more cool, calm, confident on the surface, whereas Koen seems a bit bratty and young -- but of the two, Koen probably has the healthier mindset.)
We then see the flashback and are reminded why it's MASTER Trapmon. :D gosh the animation is so nice. And it feels realistic, like things just went wrong all at once, before Aster could even get his bearings.
(footnote 9: Tyranitar is Rock/Dark, and thus strong against both the Fire Quilava and the Normal/Flying Toucannon. This may be the mistake Aster made, to confidently dive into a bad type matchup. Surprisingly, Electric does fine! Aster getting slashed may be more to do with losing his situational awareness in the moment. Alternatively, his team may have just been outclassed.)
(footnote 10: at 0:48, the lyric "What keeps me from getting sleep is if I picture you instead of sheep." Without the lyrics, the implication is that the bad memory is a nightmare that keeps Aster up. But with the lyric, and the immediate look towards Koen, it seems like what bothers Aster is... well, it's unclear, but Koen-related! [Unclearness is good, because then we can guess and relate to what's going on inside.] Is it that he's worried he might fail Koen in the same way? Does he worry about Koen seeing the strong, confident Jolteon as weak/bad? Does he worry he's failing right now as a partner?)
0:51 we can see Koen wake up and look at Aster down in the corner. Aster reacts to Koen sitting down with his eyes closed -- and Koen reacts to Aster sitting up while his eyes are closed. Both seem pretty tuned in to the soft vibrations the other is making with their movements.
(footnote 11: Aster's eyes here are adorable, and the way Koen looks up at him, it really makes me wonder how much he knows. It is amusing to think that Koen keeps getting this image of Aster as totally confident and happy and missing when the Jolteon looks super anxious. Aster probably likes it that way.)
(footnote 12: The way Aster looks at the moon raises the question: what does it represent for him? He looks so happy with it, with the phrase "I keep counting on the patterns to repeat" in the lyrics. He seems to think that the current status quo isn't sustainable ["I know I'm just stalling the inevitable"]. The golden moon and the shooting stars are also the same color as the energy around Aster, and the dreamlike realm both of them have, so it's hard to say what exactly it might be.)
And finally, we end on the cover art Trapmon made for the Koen & Aster song, produced by Star Verse. There is a difference though! There's the same warmer reds among the clouds, and the moon is gold instead of silver. Carrying forward the theme that, perhaps, we're seeing this more through the lens of Aster.
(footnote 13: if that is correct, maybe it's meaningful that in Aster's mind, the moon the same color as Koen, with Umbreons having their important connection to night. The comfort of the moon might be conflated with the comfort he has of just being around Koen, and might explain why he's so scared/ashamed of the thought of Koen seeing his inner turmoil. He knows Koen doesn't like the status quo, but Aster might nonetheless associate the Umbreon with the peace he feels in life right now.)
