On the outskirts of #Mussoorie, there's a
charming Canadian Bakery. This is their story.
While pursuing her PhD in a reputed Canadian University, Lori visited India for a research project. Within six months of being here, she married Kunwar Chauhan, a graduate from Delhi University, who had moved back to his hometown in Uttarakhand & then went on to serve as the head of village panchayat for the longest time. Together, the couple dreamt of teaching local students. ⛰️🌄
In order to support her passion project financially, she also opened the Canadian Bakery right outside the village. Every morning, the whiff of freshly baked tarts & brownies take over the air of Sainji, as Lori gleefully prepares traditional Canadian desserts from recipes handed down by her mother. The couple also serves local delicacies at the cafe now, adding to the delight of the visitors. But like many small businesses, Lori & Kunwar suffered a backlash from the pandemic, as their main source of funding (hosting groups at the cafe) came to a standstill.

I have been there and people are just gem. we were randomly roaming and people just treated us like family, children giving us tour, food offering by adult. Peace and coziness is heavily imprinted in my mind
Raising an English medium school that too at a far off place for the underprivileged students is a noble cause.. Ma'am Lawry has sacrificed not her higher studies for the sake of students' welfare and their growth but has been a guiding force.Corn village cafe has been rightly brought up and developed to meet expenses of the English medium school. abhishek ji i think mussoorie is the only place left in india where still we can feel british colonial era .its the best place to live happily .no hill station can ever match mussoorie. here the feel is something else.
Namaskar. Hope you know what is called Evanlgelism and Missionaries. Do you know? Do you know Jalandhar witnesses world's 7th or 8th largest church? Check who is PAstor Narula. Check who is Pastor Bajinder Singh. Chek these Soul Harvesters. Masoorie is gone but it will be under control in next 5-7 years. Wait. Pls understand the game here post independence.
