- Here's an F1 onboard lap at the Potrero de los Funes Circuit near San Luis in Argentina. Lewis Hamilton goes around the track in his F1 2020 Mercedes W11 in Assetto Corsa.
This circuit encircles the Lake Potrero de los Funes and is 6.3km long.
I found the track to be very tricky to drive in, but it was a good challenge and I must say that the layout is much more interesting than many other tracks used in F1 today. While it may not be at this circuit, I would love to see the return of the Argentine Grand Prix to Formula 1.

This track is incredible. Always felt like it should host a Grand Prix
Such a pity it's a FIA Grade 2 circuit, F1 races would be a blast here.
Especially for such a historical country like Argentina, birthplace of Fangio and Reutemann and one of the biggest GP in South America until 1996.
Argentina needs an F1 race, would love to see it back

Did you know that Tilke doesn't get to choose this? He is super talented when it comes to circuit design, but FIA/Liberty give him the guidelines... They are the ones who decide that a track needs to be purposedly boring in order to highlight the opulent architecture... if they decide he has to design a track around Abu Dhabi that meets this requirement, there's very little he can do about it...

It’s better than Baku. Reasons:
- It has lot of type of corner, not just 90* corners
- More beautiful enviroment
- More challenge
- F1 finally has a race in Argentina
Unfortunately, Argentina is going through one of the biggest economic crisis in its history. It's very unlikely that the country will host a Formula 1 GP.

For real, this mod and video really don't do it justice, it's so pretty in real life
I actually live in San Luis Argentina and i’ve never seen this video before, this video made me so proud and happy.

This circuit was one of the few options for Argentina for host a GP (i said "was" because i think they retired the Grade 2 to this circuit, i'm not sure)

Actualmente no tenemos ningún circuito con potencial de F1 no? Ojo ni siquiera estoy soñando, Argentina hoy no está en condiciones de hostear un GP, más que sabido.
@@alvmusic4402 maximo te diria Termas de Rio Hondo o sino Pedrera, pero para eso hay que remodelar los autodromos y viendo como esta Argentina, es muy dificil por no decir imposible
@@alvmusic4402 tenemos 4 posibilidades, tanto termas como potrero de los Funes son grado 2 de seguridad de la fia, por lo que necesitarían ajustes, aunque termas descartalo porque sgo del estero es de las provincias más pobres del pais, y no es un lugar que atraiga mucho turismo para la f1 ( no lo digo yo esto).
Las otras opciones son el Gálvez, aunque necesita un reasfaltado completo y algunos cambios en sectores para poder contar con la aprobación de la fia, y la cuarta opción es el urbano de Mar del plata ( está es bastante posible)

Better than Paul Ricard, Sochi, Barcelona and Abu Dhabi
It is actually not that hard hahah. There are plenty of FIA Grade 2 that are better that this ones, just a few adjustments and there are ready to host F1.
It's much better than all the Tilke's abominations (I only mean his horrible circuits)

@@hunterwithashblossom2131 Of course, they are better for F1 than Paul Ricard. If you only count the layout Paul Ricard is actually a good circuit but races there are boring af. Second worse track of the whole calendar (no one beats Sochi) followed by Monaco.

It's as close as you can get from Bathurst in a south american track. Both are great looking. Saw the Bathurst 1000 a couple of times, I'm yet to see a race at this one. Maybe it's just as good
I am Argentinian and I fell in love with this track while watching local TC categories race here. Then I found out the FIA GT1 World Championship raced here up until 2010. And as I watched onboard laps I thought "this track is perfect for F1". Sadly our country is not a prime venue for F1 in the money aspect for now, hope that changes somehow and that the FIA starts looking elsewhere from predictable, boring and flat tracks like Paul Ricard, Yas Marina and Sochi.
igual habría que tener precaución con los accidentes, ponele viste los que pasaron en el súper tc2000 con milla o llaver? es muy rápido el circuito y creo que necesita más seguridad, pero estaría a la altura de la F1 este autódromo si
@@nicoo5491 y por estas cosas no tiene la calificación de Grado 1 de la FIA... Además los bordes del circuito no dejan mucho lugar para ampliar las zonas de escape de los autos

Sochi y Paul Ricard son horribles pero el de Hanoi en Vietnam es HORRIPILANTE.
I feel it man, you can be proud to have this track in your country, hopefully F1 will someday come up to this track, on simulations it's my favourite semi-permanent street circuit beside Melbourne (I know the controversity of Albert Park, but i love the track) and would be a blast.

I loved the video! This is one of the most beautiful racing tracks in the world. One of the most beautiful scenarios to make a race track. I glimpsed some overtaking points but not many. A F1 race there would be awesome !! For me it's the South American Spa or Road America. Just beautiful ! Thank you very much for the video!

As cool as the track is, the race itself could be quite boring considering there isn’t many places for overtaking without contact, just like Monaco
