I had a similar "but I'm a lesbian I can't like men!" panic for a couple years, and I feel like others also go through a thing where they claim lesbian and then feel strongly that they're not allowed to change their minds because of a responsibility to the larger lesbian community. It's like, I know that there are lesbians out there with family who are pressuring them to just go ahead and like dudes, and that if I, who I considered a lesbian, can change my mind, that gives those homophobes ground to say "see? That lesbian is dating a guy now, so can you!" I've settled into bi/pansexual but I'd hate for my experience to become fodder to oppress someone else.
On the flip side, when a lot of people ID as bi, people will often say "just choose a side" or "you're only bi because you're trying to hide the fact that you're actually gay" or "you're only bi for attention". It's crazy that there is simply no room to be bi in any community without invalidation somewhere.
What I’ve always appreciated about Jade’s content is how true to Jade it was and continues to be. When it was celeb tea and kekes I felt it was true to where you were at creatively-and as that evolved you kept showing up and gave us fashion or vlogs-or whatever was most fun to make-at least from my perception. I appreciate being able to watch this creative evolution because I tend to only show one facet and want to drive that image-where as Jade serves creativity, fucking comedy, lewks honey-just how and when Jade chooses to. I really cannot say enough about how valuable the example is as a creative. 💐

No pressure, seriously, but I think it very likely that you two are educating a whole generation (or multiple generations at once). ❤️ Being authentic is truly tough, especially when you are still learning fundamental truths about yourself and the world and how to live/move/be in the world, and sharing your lessons is so helpful (even to middle-aged cis white gay dudes like me). “Be authentic, because being fake not only sucks but it hinders your growth and forming good relationships” (not an exact quote) is valuable to know. We all will have to learn some lessons the hard way, but it helps to have others’ lessons to reference-representation is so, so vital! Also, gatekeeping identities is another form of ignorance/bigotry in my view. Just because someone may identify in a way that matches how someone else identifies doesn’t-ever-mean that they have permission to police anything about the other person/people. Finally: good call-out about recognizing the importance of taking lessons from influencers/creators and then using those lessons in your own, real life. I am truly grateful I found this channel and I hope the algorithm does wonderful things not just for you both but for the people out in the world like me, and not like me, who can benefit from listening to messages that come from a place of honesty and positive growth like yours.

It's even more-so when it comes to coming out trans or nonbinary. People seem to support cis monosexual people a little more than they do do trans bi people within the LGBTQ+ community.
