welcome to the island that literally cured my animal crossing burnout. it's really simple, cozy, and forested. i didn't want to go overboard with this theme and really just had as much fun with it as possible!
i have always felt the most tied to the forest theme in the original animal crossing games like new leaf and the gamecube release, so this only made sense for me! i hope you enjoy~

Diana this island turned out so beautiful! I can't pick a favorite part! The hidden meadow and the waterfall with the caves is so smart and so well done, especially with the museum in the corner. The beautiful terraforming you did based off that photo looks so good in such a small space. And Weber's house! Just wow! The trees and the use of perspective make it really look like an island! All the perspective work you did on this island is fantastic (the different tree sizes are in fact VERY exciting). I also love all the cute decorations so much~ I think Walker's tea room is my favorite! Gosh I can't wait to visit this dream and see all the sights. Beautiful island! I can't wait to see what's next!

I think it's really easy to get overwhelmed by the massive amount of items and possibilities in this game (I don't even want to think about mods here lol). I am a clutter person and always especially admire your islands where you manage to balance the amount of items in an area so perfectly and make it look so fresh and lightweighted ☆

Watching this literally made me turn on my switch again after a whole year and then i deleted my island and restarted for the first time ever and so far im having a blast. I want my new island to have a similiar vibe as yours.
I don't know how to explain it but ur Island has a short hike vibes! I love how beautiful but also simple in a clever way it is. It also has the vibes of a whimsical children's book like Peter rabbit or frog and toad :D

omg I’m so happy about this island, I’ve been struggling to find inspirations because this is exactly what I’ve wanted to do for a while, I want to add a little bit of a sleepy vibe tho, an early morning island 🥹 but the softness of everything and the greenery inspired me so much, it’s honestly breathtaking 🍃
This island is so beautiful!! I do wish we could have a slow build just to see how you structured the cliffs etc and made everything flow together - I really struggle with that element 🌸

It inspired me to get back to animal crossing as I was overwhelmed with all the builds from everyone else online. I always thought that I wasn't good enough to create a perfect island.
But when I saw Cotton.. it was just so, so refreshing and peaceful. I finally remembered that I don't need to decorate every single inch of my island and that sometimes, less is more.
I've restarted my island and have been working on it ever since.
With every stream, I get more inspired and try to decorate my island to my liking.
So thank you, Diana, for creating Cotton and just being you, really.
I love your cozy streams, your creativity, and your own kind self.

Ever since the game came out I’ve dreamed of making a forestcore island, but got burned out before I could try. Your island is exactly what I imagined mine would look like! It’s wooded but still walkable with some beautiful terraforming and waterscapes! You did a great job :)

WOW. The use of trees in different growth stages and minimal but purposeful custom design placements.. LOVE how much open space there is while not feeling empty. Sometimes I feel like when people make aesthetic islands like this they oversaturate the ground with too much stuff.

Really love this island, it feels like a breath of fresh air 🩵 just to let you know, plants on the beach wont grow at all, so you dont need to worry about planting the flowers on the day of the dream upload 👀

The island looks amazing 😻 one thing I learned recently is that the villagers being home changes from dream to dream. You can visit a dream oneven and see several villager home and the next time you visit other could be home. I never knew this before. 😊

honestly i couldn’t tell you absolutely solid tips because back when i started playing, i used to trade with a lot of people via nookazon and it was great! nowadays i think there may be lots of bots on there o.o but!! i will say taking it slow might be really fun 🥹 nowadays i use treasure islands on twitch! (my favorite is walter wartooth) but again, if you’re up for the grind just have a good set of dailies. selling fruit and vegetables, deep sea diving, and maybe trying your hand at turnip exchange. the latter might be a bit tricky though!
