I'm so conflicted between going after every experience + running after people/ opportunities and taking things slow and savoring the sweet moments that are in between. Balance isn't something I have, so I just end up adopting one of the two extremes until I get bored and switch to the other side of the spectrum.

I went to Berlin after three months of quarantine and it was so good to experience all the thoughts I had during that time in a new context! It can be a fast city but there are awesome quite spots to discover. My tip for you is the Literaturcafe in Charlottenburg. There is nothing better than sitting in a Cafe over a hot beverage with a journal or book and getting a sense of the specific atmosphere of this city. I wish you so much fun and good memories.

Top tip: When you're just talking, you don't actually have to switch the verb to the end in a "weil" sentence. The majority of Germans don't do it in everyday speech. This drives people who are very particular about correct language up a wall, and obviously ideally you should be correct in written German. But you'll hear the unswitched version everywhere. So no worries if you forget to do it ;)

Some German native speakers would use the incorrect form "Ich liebe Berlin, weil die Stadt ist so interessant." (Props to Jade that she got it right! I used to teach German as a foreign language grammar classes on GER level B1/B2 and there were many students with a stronger accent.)

I love Berlin, and I think you’ll love it too! My biggest tip is to invest in a good quality winter parka that is also waterproof. My experience has shown me that if you want to survive German winters, a good jacket is a must!

In one and a half year I’m going to move to Berlin as an exchange student, and I’m so excited. I’m learning German in school, so it’s not that frightening, but I’m still not able to have a very complicated dialogue. Much love from Norway!!

Hee Jade, I am dutch and I love your videos🥰 German is similar to Dutch. In Dutch there is a neutral in the grammatica as well. It is all the words that begin with het. So as an example: de vrouw, de man, het kind. I wish you a wonderful time in Berlin!🤗

good luck jade! The Christmas markets are a m a z i n g. Take it from someone who has lived in Germany for 7 months. And it gets FREEZING in the winter, FYI. and try gluwein as well in the winter months. My parents really liked it, or hot apple cider. I'm obsessed with your video's by the way.
