Okay I opened the video and then I remembered to check what's app, and then I went back to TH-cam and started scrolling through shorts and suddenly remembered that I was watching this video and most importantly I was studying in the first place and now I don't know why I'm here 😂
😂 well known
I just clicked on the video, then opened what's app, then came here to read comments 😭😂😂😂
Okay at least I’m not the only one 😂😅
Same for me and additionally I never prepare for meetings because I am overwhelmed or I feel parallelized and in the meeting itself my ideas are coming into my mind again but because I am unprepared I am not able to underly my ideas with arguments and details. So I lose everytime.
Don't make me laugh
Having ADHD is like being a part-time superhero who has a 50/50 shot at getting "locked out" of their powers.
I love this!
Oh what a cool idea for a movie!!!
Yeah that's it in a nutshell.
1. adhd intuition
2. adhd risk-taking
3. adhd creativity
4. adhd crisis management
5. adhd hyperfocus
-> curated external triggers
Thank you, @cobalius, for this key to the numbers 1-5
And then an external exceedingly long & wordy video that I got bored with half way through & gave up. Why do they do that? What does it actually achieve? I’d like to hear the solution but for goodness sake get to the point……🙄
First responder here for 12 years, the best years of my life 😁
I have always wondered why my brain is completely calm and clear in the most dangerous situations in life...
Same, the small stuff stress me bad big stuff meh no biggie😂
Exactly the same here⚡️🧠
I'm ADHD and this guy is exactly right when it comes to mathematics I can't show the working out but I can get the answer but if you fail to show the working out on paper you fail the exam
This is Ed from ADHD Vision. You explained why I excelled in physical chemistry exams in graduate school, even though I could not do the required calculus math.
I really like this channel because it shows how to deal with things and the upside. It’s nice to get some positive news.
I've noticed that having ADHD and being on autism spectrum conflict with each other very much a lot. All the social interaction sides that ADHD provides are conflicted with my autism and I struggle even more.
Spot on . Everything u said I can relate 100% to it. We have too many blessings , yet we tend to focus on the downside of ADHD. I am an entrepreneur, I run one of the top consulting companies for international development. I strongly believe I wouldn't have done it if I were a normal person
@waelsallak6522 It is inspiring to hear when people make a positive out of what could be negative esp after schooling & a lifetime of poor feedback. Early life experiences mould you. I read recently that autism is hyper-focus whereas adhd is hyper-distraction?
For all the second-time watchers: Had to reupload to fix the quality + music! (if you came back a second time you're a real one)
oh thank you so much!!! i was watching like 2 min and suddenly it said private
I realised it was a re upload after I had watched it all 😅
I don't understand how other Adhd people learn how to do youtube channels. I need to learn so many things. I can't even get myself to OPEN an email app. It's STUFFED.
That's right, and u don't have to explain it to us :)
I agree with the potential benefits of ADHD.
However, I also have ASD Level 1 which is often at odd with ADHD as it makes me very cautious with a strong need for organization.
Add to that a very early history (started age 2 through age 9) of prolonged incest in a very violent large family which created a deep fear and distrust of people.
I have a lot of panic and fear. Cant shake it. Have considered trying MDMA or psilocybin therapy.
Your thoughts?
Thank you so much for this video. As someone who's recently been diagnosed with ADHD, I felt like sh*t and I'm sure you've been there before and you understand. These types of videos make me accept the fact that I'm ADHDer and realize that it's sometimes can be a blessing. Plz do more of these videos 🤍
Thanks! Your videos have taught me so much- diagnosed at 53 years old.
How? HOW?! How can this man read everything about me and my thinking process to the T!😮😮
coach stuff *shrug*
Approaching strangers without context scares me into a fight or flight state. But when I perceive an invitation, even if the other party is unaware, I confidently make the approach. The invitation could simply be a person wearing a Pink Floyd t-shirt. Since they're my favorite band, I FEEL (keyword: feel) invited to tell a stranger passing by, "nice shirt!" At big networking events or parties, if there's anything that genuinely makes me interested in approaching, I do it without hesitation. But if my inner critic says, "you should go talk to them," when no part of me feels compelled and yet I still go talk to them, I make the biggest ass of myself and feel anxious as hell while doing it.
That's me! The more I Iearn about it, the more I accept myself and allow this superpower to develop even further, even though all my life others thought there was something very wrong with me.
I journal my life and notice how my ADHD mind works. I highly recommend it.
BASE jumping entrepreneur computer/AI architect polymath ADHDer reporting in. All of your points seem very accurate.
About damn time! I have been saying this for decades. Thank you
Is the fact that ADHD people's brains need emergency situations to thrive, the reason ADHD people procrastinate?
Wow!!!! Great question!!! You mighta just found the key there! 🤯
I think you’re right on!
Pffffft my ADHD is so exhausting I can't even watch this video.
Don't watch it. Listen to it while doing sth else! 😊❤
Yoh mean finish
Also lets put ud limitations to adhd , think the positive sides we are very creative
Same man..... That's why I am in comments 😂😂
This is spot on!
Really like this one 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾 None of this is new; but the compilation of these points together & the way you designed the pro/con & explanations is very well done ❤
Thank you! Glad you liked it :)
Very good information. Thank you!
I REALLY enjoy these video's! The information is spot on, the clips and animations are amazing, the music is calm and not too much. All these things makes it an amazing video. Thank you for uploading and thank you for learning us all these helpfull things!
So glad you liked it!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
You was the reason for me to undrestand my ADHD even better
Great Video. This is my new "let me explain who I am" video that I could share with people who don't get me. Perfect!
Love the content, I'd imagine the problem with a channel on ADHD is that you've got extra pressure on watch time hours 😅
This why I was a trauma nurse rockstar 🎉❗️❗️ thank you for helping me feel better and normal 💖💖💖
I love this video- just had to cut it to 3 sections lol i loveeee hyperfocus! I so love getting into it.
I have always said I need an emergency or something that has to be done fast! Like when I can’t seem to clean up, and when the time is running out, even better! Wow! I knew most of this already. Thank you!!
Yep In a crisis I’m able
Normal stuff not so much
Work place decisions awful at
You are giving me hope. Thank you.
Thank you so much bro. Appreciate it. This is making me way more confident in my ADHD and what some call "personality traits"
Great video ... Thank you
I have undiagnosed ADHD but I also have childhood trauma and social anxiety so life is sooo damn hard..
I watched, listened and spotted the UPN logo during your presentation of our first superpower😂.
where is the comment with the list of the 5 things?
hahaha so true I always search for this type of comments
i believe there was no need, because you are interested in the video so you will watch the whole thing :D thats what happened to me at least
Friends! Which one of these is your favorite adhd superpower??
Hyperfixation.
Hyper focus!
The underpressure
The courage to try novel challenges
I like hyperfocus under pressure a lot.. but the line between not enough or too much pressure is very thin and sometimes I begin my work just a bit too late to feel overwhelmed during maybe 1h.. but then I calm down and just take a piece of paper to plan carefully the time I have left. I just need to talk to myself to hear my voice and it helps to calm me down. Then with the plan I have done I can work better and the pressure is just right as it needs to be to begin my work with the good energy and hyperfocus. It is good to plan the next day in the evening before going to bed, so it helps me calm down before going to sleep.
Thanks a lot for your great content🙏🏻
You are an Adhd Hero man!!!!🎉 The video is sooo stuffed with info and so well done !!bravooo❤🎉! How long did it take u btw?;) Excelent thanks all your content
When were u diagnosed and how that was done to u? By questionarie?? I am thinkg of going there..(love from Slovakia!)
I just want to thank you for this video. I have a new career path I'm exploring which actually is very interesting but I'm not learning it fast enough which is making me avoid studying it more because I'm failing and not further ahead in it... So to further avoid the task I get on YT to watch videos and came across yours as I felt down and frustrated with my mind. But after watching your video I never thought about any of those issues as super powers! Now, I feel upbeat and ready to accept my position in the Marvel Universe 😂❤
I remember once solving a math problem by finding a pattern much quicker than my smart math teacher. I had decided to actually focus instead of doing nothing and I was very efficient doing so.
Major thanks! Diagnosed at 38 and didn’t know what to do with it. The math thing got me 😮 and then the calm in the storm 🙌🏻 - and everything else ✅ this helped me greatly to give it all a home, a beautiful one it is! Now hyper focusing along entrepreneuring! Let the ADHD command! 🙏🏻♥️ thanks Arinda
#5…. My rabbit hole journeys do NOT lead to productivity. Knowledge without action. Only exception is when I play a musical instrument. And I cannot access it on demand, and the pairing thing doesn’t work for me. Cold showers on the other hand…
Cold shower 500% Dopamine spike. I do them daily for the same reason
✨ Summary:
- ADHD leads to lower and more volatile levels of mood, motivation, and focus due to dopamine deficiency, making it easy to get sidetracked by quick dopamine hits from activities like social media and junk food.
- Creating sustainable systems for natural dopamine, such as cold showers, exercise, and healthy foods, can improve mood, motivation, and focus over time.
- Open communication about ADHD tendencies, like ghosting friends and loved ones, can strengthen relationships and prevent misunderstandings.
- Introducing new activities and environments can help maintain interest and motivation, as ADHD brains are stimulated by novelty.
- Working in sprints rather than trying to maintain a steady pace can align better with how ADHD brains function, leveraging bursts of intense focus and motivation to complete tasks efficiently.
Thanks!
I love this guy 🙏🏻
That example about solving Maths problems is super accurate.
Who the the editor of your videos??
The editing is so good 🩷
Missed it 3 times and had to rewind 3x . I'll focus now.
I don't understand how other Adhd people learn how to do youtube channels. I need to learn so many things. I can't even get myself to OPEN my email app. It's STUFFED.
Honestly same I don’t have any of these abilities only the down sides
I think the same ,maybe it's one of their special interest or maybe their i.q is higher .not all adhd are equally smart .
As a CS student: It’s not a bug, it’s a feature
Eyes work so fastly during skiming and scanning. 😂
Dude I'm literally starting like 6 business at the same time, Course after course, I'm out of money😂😂😂 so glad I found your channel❤
What a crazy video. The accuracy is 100%. I have been saying I have super power forever. It not a me problem but a you problem. I feel comfortable at 1000m/h. I cannot go 100m/h for a long time.
My name is Branson, so it was trippy when you started talking about Richard Branson 😂
Before I get started watching the video, I wanted to "drop a bit of dopamine your way." ;) I'm 60 and I have ADHD. Omystars. My son had it and back in the 80s, teachers blamed parents and said they were bad moms. Stupid stuff like that. I always swore Robby (my son) got it from his dad. And then, I realized, I had ADHD. So many topics you discuss I think give me a bit of Dopamine bc it feels so good knowing someone else has the same damn things, lol. I'm a new sub and I want to learn more about how to get Dopamine. Thank you for your hard work making these videos. They are so helpful. And I know, it is hard work. I'm writing a book and it's horrid bc I can't get motivated. Do you have any ideas for getting motivated for writing? I'm also working on beading projects, adult coloring, making jewelry. lmao Think I might be a bit here and there and everywhere???? And lastly, the short beard on you looks sooo good. You are good looking anyway, but the beard is on pointe. Thanx again.
Very true bro! I’m in Seattle, love challenging myself often, and I’m building my Beach Hotel in the Philippines and moving next year to run it! I’m so excited and grateful for my ADHD. See you in the future at Ohana Beach Suites! 🙏
As a young Filipino with ADHD, it is comforting to see other Filipinos in here. (If you are Filipino, that is). I still feel comfort though that I have fellow Filipinos with ADHD (even if I just assumed that you are even when maybe there is a possibility that you are not). I’d love to go to Obama Beach Suites someday if I can. Thank you very much to you Ma’am/Sir! (I don’t know what your gender is so….) You definitely don’t have to answer to this message 😊 it’s just me randomly rambling.
@@JinnZamayla I’m the American guy married to a Filipina but I hear you! We are all special with our ADHD Superpowers! Have a great day! Ohana Beach Suites!
@@OHANA-Beach-Suites Thank you so much for the message Sir! I completely agree! We are indeed all special with our ADHD Superpowers!
For years and years I had bipolarity treatment which Ive ended up quiting all meds. I have a strong belief that I've been misdiagnosed. With your all insights and videos, i can tell you that my all problems (which you call them superpowers) match with your explanations. Now I have fobia to go to hospital again :( they call my impulsivity as manic episode, my lack of dopamine as depression:( I have scattered-mind and multiple projects in my hands that I struggle to manage.
Now Im gaining some hope towards life with your vids :) I can handle and embrace my differently working brain.
🎉🎉🎉
I was misdiagnosed as bipolar for years. It really did nothing for my ADHD with the wrong medication. Tell your doctor what you have been experiencing lately and since childhood. Mention your childhood. Maybe take a parent or relative you knew as a child, to explain your actions in childhood.
@carriestout6422, glad to know I'm not alone in thinking this! So It's true that ADHD can sometimes be mistaken for bipolar disorder. For me, it's more about managing my thoughts, attention, and projects than dealing with mood swings. Thanks a lot for your helpful insights and suggestions!
Try to end one little project . Take advantage of the days in which you feel more clarity . Stay away from your phone and computer .
@deliobaoduzzi6450 You’re right. Completing a small project from start to finish would be really satisfying. However, every time I begin outlining a new project, I remember an unfinished tutorial I need to complete first. This realization shifts my focus and makes me feel behind, causing me to feel overwhelmed and abandon the process altogether. I've been stuck in this frustrating cycle for weeks. But I will try to do my best again, thanks for your reminder I appreciate
@berreserifoglu4258 I also struggle with the same. Yesterday I worked on vocabulary for Hebrew class when my mind told me I needed to correct some errors I made in my Hebrew workbook. I could not relax Monday until I made corrections first to relax my mind enough to study vocabulary. It's sometimes a struggle when our thoughts remind us of something else.
I see one fire fighter to have adhd😮❤
I forgot that i didn't eat anything for 3 days straight until i asked a family member, "did you see me eat at all since friday?" Turns out i was too much in my flow state and had in fact, eaten nothing.
It explains my big picture thinking that can help me with studying Theology or my Hebrew grammar concepts!
@adhdvision hey could you please make a video on how to be street smart
Adhd and Autism here lol 😂
That makes a lot of sense. Can you reccommend booksnon adhd, hoe about Scattered Minds?
Your videos are awesome and super helpful. Wish I could say this for the webinar that is linked. Sadly, found it to be largely a waste of time for me as it was too much of fluff and less of substance and usable information.
the fact that i clicked on this video to make myself feel better instead of studying for my exam tomorrow....😂
Idk if it’s my autism or ADHD but I’m in 2nd year physics at uni. I didn’t even learn any content from any of my 10 hefty modules let alone consolidate/revise it but 2 weeks before the exams boom I got super motivated and was able to learn an entire years worth of content from a top 5 in the UK for physics uni, and be able to do decently with questions 😅
I managed to memorise 50 Electromagnetic equations after only writing each one 1-3 times one day and the next day I recalled 95% of them without even actively memorising it
But the stress from CRAMMING sucks 💀
Please make video about unhappiness, loneliness and not being able to find a life partner as an Adhd person, thanks, keep up the good work.
Why am i tired all the time, this makes me extra depressed bacuase i struggle to study😢😢😢
You may really have to explore that i.e. lack of sleep. For me, it helps to look for something interesting in what you study. Also, studying in bits and pieces unless you enter hyperfocus.
You're not alone. I think the majority of people with ADHD feel this way. This channel tends to over exaggerate the positive sides and ignore the dark side. To not put yourself down bc of "failures" is an important thing to do imo.
lightnight fast connections!
love it
Glad you liked it!
Thank you for reminding me to water my plants 🫡
I call them my stooper powers 😂
Start new things without overthinking _ start a business - risk taking
I like your video so much I want to give you an example ... When I play chess with higher Chess rated Players like 1900 - 2000 ratings My brain performs better comparing low chess rated players like me like 1200- 1300 ratings , people think I am cheating , YOu are right I concentrate better on opening like Sicilian OPening who requires for more creativity and hard prboblems . I am bored playing solid and low rated games and I cannot concentrate on low rated games , DO you guys feel the same thing Which I am talking about for example In university I enjoyed hardest lessons I become more succesful enjoyed though I am not super intelligent I like hard things to solve and enjoy . Like solving neuroscience problems etc.
Just to save time for some people that the webinar video is not suitable:
It's a 2-hour (or something) long video to sell an online accountability group session thing.
It might be a great thing for some, but doesn't really work in my situation.
Thank you anyway for the great channel, content and everything.
hey i really want to watch the free video to learn but it's a bit hard for me to watch it because i can't get transcript there. and without that i can't focus or remember what i just learnt. i need to look at a text format after watching the video. do you have the strategies of the video in pdf format? it will be really helpful
Hi Nik- I listened to part of your masterclass while doing a building project, thinking that I would be able to find the link to your ADHD group and join it later. Now, to my utter consternation, I cannot find that, and have had no luck signing up on skool ("membership pending"). Can you help me please? Thank you -
Could not find the video. Gave up.
So consistency is our Kryptonite?
Has anyone managed to get through the training and can give me a wrap up? Lost attention after 5 minutes 😂
The vsl / free video controls do not work on phone - ie settings menu shows up and disappears - tried on several browsers. So you cant change the speed or see how long it is - meaning want to but will not watch it for now
do we have this superpowers while on adhd-medication?
I tend to loose them a bit on meds, thats why i dont take them every day. But everyone is different.
My super power is dealing with crazy people and having super vision and mirror mind games
Can you make a video for people with adhd , anxiety and depression?
Hey what's the realation between vitamin d and ADHD?
"... In the shower... " ~*perks head up, listening to this in the shower *~
Hi!! I would like to add Spanish subtitles. Please let me know if you're interested. ❤😊
JFYI: the home page of your site has a broken link for the "Course =>" button. 404 error. It has a space in the link, but if I delete it, it still gives a 404. I don't know where to report this, so here we are :D
Up
Hello!
Just stumbled upon your video. What are you basing these statements on? I read in your description that you are speaking from your own experiences of having ADHD for 26 years, but are you sure these things apply to everyone with the diagnosis? Maybe you could clarify at the beginning that the statements reflect your personal experiences, and while some might relate to what you talk about, others might not. I will look into more of your content, but I would prefer a less sensational vibe in the video (music, pictures, etc.). That is just my taste. Other than that, thanks for the content.
I know... ❤
I remember my childs brain as such you described in maths. Meanwhile I just experienced so many social related traumatas due to my way 8f different open minded thinking that I suffer learned helplessness and lije a societal alien. I wish I could my brain rewire to my childhoods state befor all this unhealthy societal programming started. I would love to do thrive 1000% in my natural abilities and talents. So how xan I train my thetastaes and leave thos shitty boarders of limitation and traumastates? I love to play, play, play....so who else?❤❤❤
Put myself in Environments that I am interested in? You mean, go to a park that I really like? Explain? I love being in Nature btw. So, if I am writing something, I need to be in a park? Or if I need to calculate my budget, I'd have to be in the park? Get it? I sometimes wonder if I just don't understand because for the longest time I have to force myself to work where I can, not where I find many things of interest, like a hawk flying overhead. Which will divide my attention.
This is a relatable moment for the fifth power I remember one time it was like around one30 o’clock. My mom told me get ready. We’re gonna go out at three. I was thinking OK let me put a load of laundry in I decided to play Minecraft. I thought I can play this for 20 minutes and then I’ll go check on my load of laundry. I play I get focused two hours go by and I didn’t even realize it. My mom was like are you ready? Let’s go. I was so confused. I didn’t even know what the fuck was going.
Hey @ADHDVision please help me how to wake up at 4am or anyone please share a tip to wake up early. I want to wakeup early at 4am and do Surya Namaskars and Mediation. But when the time alarm rings,I stop it and get back to sleep. I wakeup around 10am and feel depressed all day because I didn't woke up at 4am. Help me if anyone reads this comment. Please.
great video but I find the sigma bgm hilarious
SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP!!! I desperately need help??? I dont know who to run to? I'm 35 in Nashville. I can't. I'm struggling so badly. Where can i get diagnosed?
Try calling a local psychologist or speak to family or a friend about it.
Why's no one talking about how the title says 7 superpowers but he only mentions 6 in the video. And he doesn't even explain the 6th one in the video.
Maybe he got carried away with one of his superpowers.
Maybe this explains my spiral to either death or homelessness.
Is it beacause I want answers and have to be stripped of everything and everyone?
Or I am delusional and should just put this to an end
What do you mean you have to be stripped of everything and everyone? And what do you mean you want answers? Answers to what?
Idk man, I get schizophrenia vibes from your sentence.
1.5x
Last part is never explained and not in the links.
