thanks to the Chinee (Chinese) and Japanee (Japanese) folks: rice or noodles are life.. Mac(aroni) or potato) salad with mayo. Ahh.. Dang it ! I went to an H-mart store; the Korean lunch box (like a Japanese bento box), for sale, was plainly a copper-looking steel box with a lid. Lanai, Johny & Steezy (Krystilez from the "Angry Locals" rap group with (Big)Mox, Osnizzle/Osna & Mic3) sound like sociologists/anthropologists; smart buggahs. Triumph the Insult Dog (comic) was the best; I think that he was from Conan O' Brien or David Letterman's late-night talk show. "For me to poop on.." - Triumph, the Insult Dog. R.I.P. to the great Anthony Bourdain... A lot of people either may hate or love that guy; I respect the guy, like Andrew Zimmern (Bizarre Foods; Delicious Destinations; he hated Spam), Todd Carmichael (Dangerous Grounds; Uncommon Grounds), Guy Fieri (Dine In's, Diners and Dives) and Adam Richman (Man vs. Food). Pipikaula = it reminds me of (Pemmican) beef jerky. Did Lanai meant Ming Tsai (the chef).. I just remembered Martin Yang ("Yang Can Cook"), Titus Chan ("The Chan-ese Way"; who was from Hawai'i), Wolfgang Puck (Spago's; he made appearances on the David Letterman (late-night) talk show) and Julia Child ("The French Chef"). for Hawaii Regional Cuisine, there was a book called "Hawai‘i Regional Cuisine: The Food Movement That Changed the Way Hawai‘i Eats" by: Samuel Hideo Yamashita (May 2019; the publisher was: University of Hawaii Press): Sam Choy, Roger Dikon, Mark Ellman, Amy Ferguson Ota, Beverly Gannon, Jean-Marie Josselin, George Mavrothalassitis, Peter Merriman, Philippe Padovani, Gary Strehl, Alan Wong, and Roy Yamaguchi Best Ever Food Review show (Sonny Side, the bolo head guy with the (red) head band.
