Dear Katharine, being Italian I think that politeness depends on the people you meet, whatever the nationality is..😊. Btw my compliments for achieving the YT silver prize!!!
I have to agree with that Stefano. It really depends on people more and their education and degree of civility. There are basically rude people everywhere as much as polite people ;-)
I agree. In Italy the etiquette demands greetings when you get in and get out of a shop, please and thanks too are highly recommended if you want receive a nice service. Of course there are rude people but it is not the rule.
I agree on not being typically Italian to be so rude in a shop or restaurant. However, it can be hardly denied that unpolite people are more tolerated in Italy than they'd deserve.

Hi my most beautiful British Blossom! What a beautiful video again! Many congrats first for your 'Silver Play Button' and your unboxing was such a lovely share where I had the pleasure of admiring you in your pretty 'Bavarian braids' :-) and in the picturesque setting of the green and pretty English countryside. Lovely flowery dress and a pittoresque frame. Very charming! Thank you for the adorable gratitude you expressed to your growing fans and your joy was a pleasure to see and rejoiced me. I didn't really learn anything new in this video, as I know enough about this aspect of the English etiquette and culture for having seen already quite a few videos on that subject. At the bottom, it is very similar to what we encounter in France basically, with a few nuances probably and according to the regions and even more, as everywhere, according to people themselves and their degree of civility and education... What I loved this time is more the rhythm, the atmosphere that you were able to print throughout the whole video, very positive, cheerful and playful. I adored your touches of humour that made me smile and even laugh. You seem fulfilled, happy, beautiful and radiant and it is a real delight and happiness for the listener and the spectator. In short, you appeared like a glowing sunshine and I just loved the video! 🌞💐 You shed a light indeed both in the proper and figurated sense of the expression. I'll be back if another thing should come to my mind when I re-watch the video as I usually watch them several times. Thank you very much for this lovely moment Katherine! Bravo! 👏👏 👍 Bisous bisous from la belle France which loves you. 😘🌹💞 P.S.: I smiled at the Vodka episide and evocation because I happened to have the exact same experience when I was a student with a memorable Vodka booze/binge ( dunno how to say 'cuite' in English;-). I could never more drink vodka after that! 😂
Lovely comment! I’m surprised to know you live in France, it’s actually a beautiful place which I’ve always desired to visit. Your comments are truly beautiful and I admire the way you connect the words and make them sound wonderful! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Have a good day! 💐❤️

Albert from Moscow It's a real pleasure ro see your sweet smile again. "Soft and fair goes far." "Politeness costs nothing, but yields much." Thank you for the explanation on how to be polite in public specially asking for something... it's really useful... have a nice weekend... Catherine...and congratulation you deserve it...no doubt
Great vid! Would you mind to do the vid on how to response to the inappropriate questions then in the British ( indirect) way? It would be fascinatiing to learn more on that please 🙂

Kudos dear Catherine!!! Love your lessons and your tone of voice❤. As an Italian, I would like to share with you that not adding at least "per favore (please)" when asking for anything in our country, would come across as rude to most of us. Though some people would still behave like that, this doesn't mean it's generally deemed ok 😊. Anyways, thank you for another lovely video ❤
Hello! This is Cosmin from Romania. I came to the UK, England 9 years ago from Italy, so the comparison was perfect. I am still grateful to see this after 9 years. The problem is that someone else told me that "Brits got to the conclusion that "please" lost it's meaning because it was over repeated, so they do not use it anymore". Thankfully that was recent but I still stopped saying please. Now I understand how rude I was. Thank you for the videos!
Wow, Katharine. That’s fantastic! Congratulations you deserve it for a achievement about the winner of your TH-cam Channel in the names of ‘English With Katharine!’ I learned a lot with your impressive voices. You have it, very nice for your explanations and your excellent sense! I hope you’re doing good…

9:22-9:26 ¡me encanto!... Don't queue jump! ¡genial!... Palabras "magicas" en español: "por favor", "gracias", "que amable"... 0:37 ¡felicidades!...🌻
