We do not require OFA since PennHip is a newer and more accurate option according to our Vet Specialists. The Breed Standard is going to be found on our Website launching in then next few weeks.
The CPCA is only being kept up to date on 3 of the pups recently acquired from Tim. So far 2 of them are being considered for limited use in breeding programs. 1 has some moderate health concerns being monitored. Overall very "luke-warm" on them at the moment.
Do you have any recommendations on who or where I should get a pure breed canis panther? And do you have any suggestions for someone may want to breed the canis panther? I found this breed a few years ago and I thought this breed was really interesting to work with but there are very rare and there’s not a lot of information on this breed.
Our Facebook group is currently the primary hub for information and to find reputable breeders. Anyone wanting a well bred Canis Panther should be prepared to wait on availability. Anyone looking to breed should also join the club and get in touch with the current board of directors for guidance.

Why doesn't a Canis Panther Wikipedia page exist? One would think that anything that's widely recognized would be heavily documented. Is this a local (one house) offshoot wildcat breed?
Honestly never even considered it. Wikipedia isn't exactly an incredibly reliable source of info considering it's ability to be edited so easily by the general public, but we will certainly bring it up at the next meeting. No- This is not a one breeder breed, the breed has been around for 50+ years, currently has about 5-10 breeders working with the real thing and growing quickly. Much of the breeds beginning had no online presence and has only recently began to gain a widespread following.
@@HermitAcresCP Wikipedia has proven to be a shockingly good source of information... much, much better than the Internet in general. That's true because, although anyone can edit it, it's being watched by tens of thousands of volunteers who won't permit nonsense, who demand external references, and who will absolutely not hesitate to edit screwups right back out. I've done a bunch of that myself. Don't just listen to what the Internet says about Wikipedia, check it out yourself. FIND the incorrect stuff. Compare with the rest of the Internet. You'll see that their credibility is better than nearly anything else, across the whole board. That's why they've gotten so big and become the de facto standard for everything. Really. Check it out for yourself. Don't take anyone's word for it, not even mine.
I don’t trust you or this organization at all! I saw someone asked you for reputable breeder recommendations and you listed off a few names but failed to mention the creators of the breed. “Rock of Ages Kennels” are the source and are still breeding yet you failed to recommend them as a breeder, that makes zero freaking sense at all. I hope you reply and explain the thought process of starting a club w/o the creators of the breed leading the way.
Happy to explain. First... Scorpio Jones created the breed... Using his dogs and Dobermans from Madonna Kennels. We have discussed with multiple people close to Scorpio and been told that although Michael Stratton was there and participated in the program...he was not a part of the breeding decisions...that was all Scorpio. That is not actually why we don't recommend ROAK though.... and note that we did not call them out as a place to NOT go....we just did not list as CPCA recommended for the following reasons. Our group is founded on the basis that all breeders should be doing health testing on all breeding stock and being transparent with the public about the results. ROAK does not wish to do that and as such we cannot recommend them.
What do there teeth look like rescued a dog and her teeth have these little sharp edges on each side it’s very small but it’s all her front teeth top and bottom like each tooth has 3 points I’ve never seen this type of tooth before.
Please please put out more videos on the canis panther. It's not enough of them.

They have teeth similar to a Doberman. Smooth with a scissor bite.
Im very interested in a puppy but I don't have a good starting point. Or any reputable breeders to seek out.
