I got a steam deck last christmas, and have been mostly using it for emudeck thanks to your help. Your guides on how to set up various emulators have been indispensible, and now just discovering your game recommendations which are even more amazing. Keep up the good work!
Yeah, Chibi-Robo! I love that game. Still have the copy I got as a kid for my birthday. Definitely needs a rerelease, especially considering the second-hand market price
Everyone should play Eternal Darkness. When starting out remember that choosing the green path is the easiest playthrough followed by the blue path with the red path being the hardest. If you do all 3 playthroughs in a single save file you get true ending. Also, I highly reccomend SSX 3 on the Dolphin. It plays perfect and is a blast. Baten Katos Eternal Wings is an easy reccomend. The 2nd is okay but 1st is great.
I love the GameCube VGE. Such an underrated unit that I wish the newcomers will appreciate the unit just like we have done for over 20 years bro. Will you be discussing any GameCube games for the unit in the near future? Anthony..
Great list! I think Ikaruga is way better on the Dreamcast, via Flycast emulation on the deck. Just feels and plays better in my opinion. Again, another console that had low sales and was incredible!
was a huge GC fan back in the day (still is) and I still have my original console, I was finally able to complete Luigis Manison amazing and addictive till this day and over the weekend on my steam deck which for some reason I never did complete it on my console? and I have to say I enjoying GC even more 20+ years later the Metal Gear Solid remake was also another one of my favs
For me its a toss up between Eternal Darkness and Gotcha Force. I have a Steam Deck LCD all setup for emulation and am currently replaying Gotcha Force. man I love that game so much :D
Favorite GameCube game of all time was Paper Mario thousand year door best paper Mario in series imo! I actually got really into resident evil 0 on GameCube 100% unlocked everything, also liked RE1 and RE4 Big releases I loved was animal crossing and pikmin. Eternal darkness was awesome the sanity mechanic was fun to play with I would purposely get low sanity just to see the wacky things that would happen, melee weapons were overpowered I would use them over guns and found secret god good lovecraftian game!
I love TTYD. It goes TTYD>Paper Mario>Super Paper Mario. The rest i just dont care for. I really wish Nintendo would bring bring back the HP, BP, FP, and Badge System again
I've watched it now. Great video, oh yeah Killer 7, Billy Hatcher, Auto mod, RE1, ikaruga all awesome. RE4 was my favourite, the RE4 remake is great too
I probably won't use Steam Deck for GC because I need that GC controller, lol. I never played Billy Hatcher. I remember X-Play (or its precursor Extended Play) gave it a bad review, so I paid no attention to the game. I played Eternal Darkness but got stuck in an area. Maybe I'll replay it for the story. I bought a Japanese GC years ago just to check out Kururin Squash. I'm surprised it didn't get a western release or at least a modern release for Switch. I know there are GBA titles as well, but I'm not sure if they were also Japan only.

Glad they are useful :) more coming soonish

Yeah I have my copy too. And it has NOT gotten any cheaper
I bought a steam deck and hope to try this, among other things! Been wanting to play TImeSplitters 2 for a longggg time.
TimeSplitters 2 is a ton of fun def play it

SSX 3 was always a fun time
Eternal Darkness is one of my all time slept on games…
It’s def not as popular these days as it should be

Anthony..
There will be a GameCube game on What? Why!?!?
@@VideoGameEsoterica Hahaha. Because I love anything GameCube bro. 8^)
Despite the low sales GameCube was incredible
It is probably my fav Nintendo console of all time
Gamecube like Dreamcast was too weird for many. At least Nintendo made it out the other side if a bit beaten and bruised.
Nintendo is at their best IMO when their hardware is failing
Great list!

Glad you enjoyed the list. Always fun to make

Couple decades late but you finally finished the game :)
@@VideoGameEsoterica I know right but had such a blast

Eternal Darkness is a classic

It’s def the best Paper Mario ever made but Origami King was very close for me. Poor Bobby. Real heartbreaking moment in a Nintendo game lol
I love TTYD. It goes TTYD>Paper Mario>Super Paper Mario. The rest i just dont care for. I really wish Nintendo would bring bring back the HP, BP, FP, and Badge System again
You didn’t like Bobby in Origami King??
@@VideoGameEsoterica i honestly cant say. Ive owned it for about 3 years now and still have not played it. Its just sitting in my switch case atm.
Play it!
The RE remake is the reason i bought a GameCube! RE1 and RE4 were amazing games
Sunshine was why I bought one back in the day but REmake was a close second
I never played the Kururin game on the GC, but I have played it on the GBA, and it's a rather unique puzzler for sure.
It’s basically a genre in and of itself
It's a me, Metroid!
My spite of not including most main Nintendo games continues lol
I've watched it now. Great video, oh yeah Killer 7, Billy Hatcher, Auto mod, RE1, ikaruga all awesome.
RE4 was my favourite, the RE4 remake is great too
I’ll still take RE 1 remake over RE 4. I just love the old style
@@VideoGameEsoterica fair point. The 1 remake is epic, and like you say, it's aged amazingly well.
Yeah it still looks modern. As much as I enjoyed RE 7 and 8 I wish we could still get the old school fixed camera style now and again
Killer 7, what a game but gotta say NMH trilogy is a step up in my opinion.
NMH is like the full realization of what Killer 7 tried to do it feels
Just started watching the video. If F-Zero GX isn't included it will be a personal attack against me! The ultimate betrayal!
………..just don’t unsub 😂
Well, F-Zero is the obvious. So it is ok for not showing.
Haha yes. I try to not make these filled with games you’d be told about if you just googled “best GameCube games”
I probably won't use Steam Deck for GC because I need that GC controller, lol.

You can plug one in with the USB adapter. So you don’t need to miss out :)
@@VideoGameEsoterica 😎👍
I need to do a video on weird stuff you can do on steam deck like that
Melee and F-Zero GX are the best games on the Gamecube imo
People certainly love them
Ikaruga music playing in the background?
I think so? Been a minute since I uploaded it
How the fuck do you make it run WITHOUT any shader cache stuttering?
I run bits then go back in and capture after they are cached and I tell people you may get some cache stuttering at first
Billy Hatcher!!!
An unsung classic
Yes hello I need my money back on Simpsons
Whaaaat?
I just want twin snakes
Such a fun remake / reimagining of the original
