He is truly a gifted vocalist who is constantly working hard to evolve & push himself to become even better singer & performer! 👏👏👏💜💜💜 FYI : - Lie lyrics was mainly written by Jimin & he also took some part in composing as well. In his Vlive, during that time, he was going through hard times but tried to convince & lied to himself & other that everything is OK, but he has finally realized that he was deceiving himself & to those he loves. Jimin said he has written ‘Lie’ lyrics while working through those troubled emotions. - ‘Promise’ is his first fully composed & written solo song(except English parts of the lyrics which is written together with RM & that process is in BTS official document) which Jimin has gifted us in SoundCloud on the last day of 2018. According to Jimin in his Vlive, when he has started working on this song, he has started with negative emotions of self criticism, but it has slowly changed to messages of self love, finding their own inner lights & comfort, to help those fans who was going through the same hard times & same self negativities, just like Jimin himself. I’ve never heard a song as pretty as Serendipity and as haunting as Lie. Promise (no it's not on Spotify, sadly) is just so cute and Filter is very flirty but if you analyze the lyrics a little deeper there’s more to it. Just the fact that they put it after Shadow and Black Swan in the album it’s pretty telling. BTS albums are concept albums (lyrically), which means that each of them follow a different theme. The title track is the song that represents the theme the best and the comeback trailer is like a teaser. So Euphoria is the teaser for the Love Yourself trilogy, Serendipity is the teaser for Her with title track DNA, Singularity is the teaser for Tear with tt Fake Love and Epiphany is the teaser of Answer with tt IDOL. When I started to understand how BTS present their music I was so surprised. They put so many details in everything they do, it's crazy. ps: I was curious as how you would react to the short film and you didn’t disappoint ahaha “what is this?”, “oh, that was creepy”, “that’s so creative”, yep, we’ve all been through it. i got into bts just few days prior to dynamite release. i wanted to check them out so i played their latest album then (mots7) on shuffle. Filter was the first song i heard. I had NOT IDEA who it was but i downloaded that song right away cuz it was that good. for the first time ever i felt as if lyrics aren't that necessary if you produce a good song (later I checked out its lyrics and got blown away yet again but that's another story) in conclusion, you can say jimin got me into bts and made me an ARMY singlehandedly 💜
Jimin really truly is amazing! My interpretation of Filter is Jimin being in control of all the various personas and “filters” that he takes on and off and my opinion solidified after seeing the performance. The way he walks around trying on outfits (specifically male and female clothes), rejects them and puts on others, and then emerges with his own look and style in the end shows how at every point Jimin is the one in control of the change. Jimin is both the genie (granting wishes) and Aladdin (the one in charge). He is controlling our (the audience ) desire so he teases us and we may “pick a filter” (as if we have a choice lol) but in the end Jimin is aware of his allure and power. We all know Jimin has incredible duality and I’m glad he has embraced the many sides of himself. 💜
Behind that cute baby mochi persona is a very complex person! Jimin is a rare combination of being able to authentically and eloquently express himself through both music and dance. Chapter 2 Jimin will be much sensual and cunning. His songs are mostly complex. Lie, I later found out, is compositionally genius where the notes of the chorus is out of usual arrangement thus supporting the whole lie theme. I'm not a musician but watched few professional musicians explained this.

Filter live is totally a must watch, but I definitely recommend checking out Serendipity live as well, if you get a chance! Serendipity was written by RM and there’s an adorable guide track he recorded of it, but Jimin made it his own and is incomparable: definitely a song for your crush! Rm is a poet and Jimin interprets that poetry marvellously. Jimin was the hardest member for me to connect with but once i JimINed I will never JimOut. He’s amazing; a master of many trades and such a kind loving human too. His dad writes him letters and sends flowers on his bday, saying things like “you were born to be my son” awww with such a solid base no wonder he flies so high 💜 Love all his solo songs 💜

The Wings short films have to be watched in order because there's a lot of references carried through each or repeated. You should also really watch Serendipity concert version because it's probably one of the most beautiful pieces of choreography ever. Filter choreography is the most sensual thing, oof blush. Thanks for another great reaction. About the pitch of Jimin's voice, he was playing with high-pitched sounds even when he was young, it is said. However, his natural voice is a standard tenor in pitch, which you can hear clearly even in very old and early behind scenes BangtanTV footage, when he was 18 years old. Where he is unusual is in his muscular control, which he uses both in dance and singing. As the last member to join BTS, he did not get a say in what role he was supposed to take within the group. That includes how he was supposed to use his voice. His singing skills are homegrown. He only recently started to take vocal lessons. For me, where he excels vocally is his ability to express his extremely well-developed emotional intelligence. As with movement, he's very playful vocally, too. Just the other day he did a three-part live on Weverse where he was building a model of a miniature traditional Korean house. At one point, he was humming and singing quietly. Including sometimes doing meow meow like a cat, lol. To get away from the filtered presentations you will traditionally see of his voice, I recommend two things. The first is a recent video from TheJiminVideos channel about his dance evolution. The other is a BangtanTV v-log he did a few weeks ago, where he was making a silver bracelet. Together, these will expand your understanding of who he is as a human being, and you will also see how wide-ranging and sensitive his artistry is. I love everyone in BTS, and they are all essential to the BTS experience. That being said, what Jimin brought to the group is unusual, and it's been there since the start.

Lie probably reminds you of stigma by V because they're from the same album! If you remember at the end of Save me and Fire by BTS it says something like "Boy Meets _" this is teasing for the entire Wings Ablum Era that includes solo songs by each member and their title track Blood Sweat and Tears. I would listen to the entire album in it's entirety! Boy Meets Evil is the intro track by Jhope and has a video you can watch. Wings is their BEST album aside from Tear- there is a lot of content they posted for teasers and trailers you can watch on the YT.

Promise is one of my favorite songs from Jimin. Not just because he's my bias, but because of his voice and the lyrics in the song. It's actually the first ever song I listened to of Jimin's when I became an Army, and I fell in love right away (and also cried a little lol). It hold such a special meaning. No one can compare to Jimin. He's a one off. His beauty, voice, talent. He is also a classically trained dancer and was top student He learned popping and locking. He's a black belt in Taekwondo and is a Kendo master having studied it for 8 years. To me it doesn't matter who covers his songs they will never replace him. I'm army and not a multi Stan at all. Only BTS for me. I love all 7 of these precious men but Jimin and Suga are my favourites. BTS have transcended kpop and left the other groups so far behind them. The Jimin effect is real , even grown men fall victim to the Jim effect. He was once asked where he saw himself in 10 years his answer was I will be the man that everyone wants and I think he has achieved that. Lie is a masterpiece and should not be copied it's Jimin that makes it a masterpiece too.
Since you have seen many covers of Lie, then I highly recommend Lie's original dance practice to appreciate it even more. Jiminie has mad skills in song AND dance! He has a very high and low vocal range; there are other BTS songs where he’s using his low voice with growls, vocal fry, rapping…he’s incredible! I'm not surprised that Lie reminded you of Stigma, they're both from the Wings album, and although every song had its own story, every solo had a similar storyline and mood, and they all had that kind of eyrie feeling, fits very well together

Promise was written by jimin for himself. he worked on this song for a long time and said it started with quite self deprecating lyrics but then eventually changed in self-help, self-healing song. Namjoon helped him write the lyrics. promise was released on soundcloud and now it's the most streamed song in soundcloud's history
Toward the end RM helped with the Eglish lyrics and gave the idea for the pinkie swear, but this is definitely Jimin's song.

Serendipity was written by RM and there’s an adorable guide track he recorded of it, but Jimin made it his own and is incomparable: definitely a song for your crush! Rm is a poet and Jimin interprets that poetry marvellously.
Jimin was the hardest member for me to connect with but once i JimINed I will never JimOut. He’s amazing; a master of many trades and such a kind loving human too. His dad writes him letters and sends flowers on his bday, saying things like “you were born to be my son” awww with such a solid base no wonder he flies so high 💜

About the pitch of Jimin's voice, he was playing with high-pitched sounds even when he was young, it is said. However, his natural voice is a standard tenor in pitch, which you can hear clearly even in very old and early behind scenes BangtanTV footage, when he was 18 years old.
Where he is unusual is in his muscular control, which he uses both in dance and singing.
As the last member to join BTS, he did not get a say in what role he was supposed to take within the group. That includes how he was supposed to use his voice.
His singing skills are homegrown. He only recently started to take vocal lessons.
For me, where he excels vocally is his ability to express his extremely well-developed emotional intelligence.
As with movement, he's very playful vocally, too.
Just the other day he did a three-part live on Weverse where he was building a model of a miniature traditional Korean house. At one point, he was humming and singing quietly. Including sometimes doing meow meow like a cat, lol.
To get away from the filtered presentations you will traditionally see of his voice, I recommend two things.
The first is a recent video from TheJiminVideos channel about his dance evolution. The other is a BangtanTV v-log he did a few weeks ago, where he was making a silver bracelet. Together, these will expand your understanding of who he is as a human being, and you will also see how wide-ranging and sensitive his artistry is.
I love everyone in BTS, and they are all essential to the BTS experience. That being said, what Jimin brought to the group is unusual, and it's been there since the start.
If you love Serendipity and Promise, you'd love his newest OST, a duet with Ha Sung Woon called With You -- painfully beautiful!!!! He is such a gift. Promise was a gift to ARMY on Soundcloud for free, and has the record for the most streams on Soundcloud ever.
Lie probably reminds you of stigma by V because they're from the same album! If you remember at the end of Save me and Fire by BTS it says something like "Boy Meets _" this is teasing for the entire Wings Ablum Era that includes solo songs by each member and their title track Blood Sweat and Tears. I would listen to the entire album in it's entirety! Boy Meets Evil is the intro track by Jhope and has a video you can watch. Wings is their BEST album aside from Tear- there is a lot of content they posted for teasers and trailers you can watch on the YT.
Lie was the song that made me double bias jimin with tae ..its so hauntingly beautiful I absolutely love how he performs it! Also the filter and serendipity live stages are highly recommended haha… promise isn’t on spotify because its a soundcloud release that he did for us armys :) but i do really wish it’ll be on spotify someday because I literally listen to it every night its like a warm hug

Promise is one of my favorite songs from Jimin. Not just because he's my bias, but because of his voice and the lyrics in the song. It's actually the first ever song I listened to of Jimin's when I became an Army, and I fell in love right away (and also cried a little lol). It hold such a special meaning. All of his songs do but this one is very special to me

No one can compare to Jimin. He's a one off. His beauty, voice, talent. He is also a classically trained dancer and was top student He learned popping and locking. He's a black belt in Taekwondo and is a Kendo master having studied it for 8 years. To me it doesn't matter who covers his songs they will never replace him. I'm army and not a multi Stan at all. Only BTS for me. I love all 7 of these precious men but Jimin and Suga are my favourites. BTS have transcended kpop and left the other groups so far behind them. The Jimin effect is real , even grown men fall victim to the Jim effect. He was once asked where he saw himself in 10 years his answer was I will be the man that everyone wants and I think he has achieved that. Lie is a masterpiece and should not be copied it's Jimin that makes it a masterpiece too.
Since you have seen many covers of Lie, then I highly recommend Lie's original dance practice to appreciate it even more. No one can dance like Jimin because he incorporate many dance styles plus his various martial arts background. If you want to know more about Jimin, then I recommend "Park Jimin Intro Video 2022."

Jiminie has mad skills in song AND dance! He has a very high and low vocal range; there are other BTS songs where he’s using his low voice with growls, vocal fry, rapping…he’s incredible! He is the only dancer in the group who has studied almost every type of dance, including ballet. He, himself, is a Masterpiece!!💜👼🏻
I'm not surprised that Lie reminded you of Stigma, they're both from the Wings album, and although every song had its own story, every solo had a similar storyline and mood, and they all had that kind of eyrie feeling, fits very well together

BTS is very intentional. There discography follows their personal journey as BTS and as individuals in distinct chapters with a unifying story arc (The BTS Universe) weaving throughout. There are solo works released on sound cloud and mixtapes, but songs like Serendipity, Singularity, Euphoria and Epiphany are considered “BTS” songs and are integral parts of the albums and chapter they are a part of. So when you interpret a song’s meaning you often times have step back and see where it fits into the chapter and the BTU story arc.

Serendipity is definitely love song but about self love)) it`s intro from Love Yourself Her album, so as you can see Jimin is speaking to himself in this song, not to lover. in MV he`s just by himself on sets, he`s alone but he`s not alone at the same time, he`s happy just with himself, it was so well shown in MV. he`s letting himself to love himself, such a deap meaning, i love this album because of meaningful songs. and we can see a lot of references to universe in MV because people inside like universes and we must love our own little (and big at the same time) universes inside
