It was first used at least during the Copper Age: dolmen, menhirs, underground tuning keys, listening chambers (called beehive "tombs"). Linguistics are revealing! Thanks for the tutorial.
reminds me of an electromechanical relay, because of the electromagnet used to open and close the switch. tip:heat the EM nail as much as you can,but do not melt it.because soft iron, which you get by heating an iron nail,is magnetic only when current passes through, but on the other hand, regular iron nails retain a lot of magnetism even when the current is off,do this so the nail doesn't stick to the lid,i used too much turns, like 400 on the biggest nail i could find, and the lid just got stuck to the nail, just posted this tip to make sure nobody repeats this mistake.
The most it’ll do is reach up a few miles. On a perfect day with proper propagation it’ll reach about a few hundred miles but only if ur lucky. And most importantly. You need an amateur radio license for this and need to make your transmitter INSIDE of the amateur radio bands. Otherwise the FCC will come and get you.
One word........this is the most accurate tutorial ever in you tube
Thank you!
That's ten words, twelve if you count "one word"...
This video is so helpful, and I’ve always been interested in telegraphy. You just earned a subscriber!

Interested in telegraphy? Have you ever heard of amature radio?
This is one of the coolest projects on TH-cam
Thanks, that really means a lot
THIS MAN SHOWING HOW TO MAKE THIS DEVICE IS A SMART A** DUDE,I GIVE BIG A** THUMBS UP👍👍👍👍👍
Doooood! Total fun, easy to understand......Thanks much mate!

Thanks for the tutorial.
Very good. So the springiness of the lid acts as the rocker arm you would find on the Marconi transmitter.
Great tutorial! Thank you
😊Hi Dieter in the past was like this! Greetings from Italy, "IK2RGV" telegraphy operator 👋👋
hello you are genius and also i love morse code so this helps me alot
Great video!
Well done!
Don't worry dieter we're here for you
You are Genus
this video really helps
Buen trabajo.

Thanks a lot bro, I just lost my phone, I'm saved now :-D

You said subscribe, and I also noticed that it is the same code that you wrote in the cover image, is that correct?

That super helpful, thanks!
Hepful thanks....Why dont you make more videos of such kind.
wtf i watched the whole video and it was goooood
you got a sub
Impressive
Nice video👍 when do you upload the video on how to build the radio?
very nice
Cool video
How far does the signal get?
That's a very good lesson," you have to be a teacher at the university.
nice
Can we use piezoelectric to transmit sound?
i am waiting for the next video where u show the remaining work
th-cam.com/video/ZVRyEhHu8DI/w-d-xo.html
The second morse code means "Subscribe":-)
Make more videos like this
OMG, i Will try
I got a question, what if your electromagnet doesnt work when you try to magnetize it
Check your wire and make sure it is all getting electricity, add extra coils, or make sure you have a big iron or steel nail
The messiah has returned.
I want to ask you a question:
How did you connect the telegraph to the am station?
Anybody got anwser
Maybe just some random am station without signal
I don't think he reads comments
It becomes the station, the thing I built transmits the Morse code in the form of radio waves, which you can get on a radio
you can leave it connected to the battery, and then check what frequency it takes on the radio.
can you make a video on how to make a receiver (something like a coherer and a de-coherer) that can receive morse code
That’s the game plan, just don’t have too much time
@@dieterdoes9497 well imma subscribe so i can get notified when you make a new video
@@yadadi4438 thanks a lot
@@dieterdoes9497 no problem, i’ll be waiting for a video 🇺🇸
Yes make video
Add the antenna
Can we use cardboard of foam for the structure
anything you can get your hands on that is not conductive
How do you get the code on the radio?
What would happen if I didn’t sand the screws?
as long as all the wire and screws can make a good contact, you don't need to, but usually they are coated in something
Hi, great video but what is the antenna here?
There is no antenna used, if you wanted to increase signal I think adding an antenna to somewhere around the nail is best, but I’m not really sure
and how to make its receiver?
My telegraph doesn't work after 2 days of woring. What i have to do???
Can you use double a battery?
It may not have enough voltage, if so, rig multiple in series
nice video, how far the signal goes?
Probably up to the Moon....

What type of wire did you use??
Enameled Wire Winding
sophia and I figured out the secret code big brain!!
Took me like one minute to figure out that on the thumb nail it said subscribe
Can i use a 1.5v battery?
It may not have enough voltage, if so, rig multiple in series
@@dieterdoes9497 ok thanks
Dieter does...
It is illegal to use a spark-gap transmitter unless SHTF
yeeet
morse code is an help signal

🤔🤔👏👏👏👍👍👍🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱🤔🤔
Is it morse code?
Why did you say that the coating on the motor wire was metal? It is insulation, a nonmetal.
Where exactly do you see a motor?
I mean the nails*
You know spark gap transmission is illegal right?
Since this one probably wouldn't interfere with nearby radios its fine but still technically legal.
The signal can't go far enough to mess things up. I guess.
first
you mean second last
And why would you need this ?
Fun!
@@dieterdoes9497 no way you commented a whole year later😂
@@lunalunita975👌
why does it transmit
You can use it to transmit Morse code
The sparks created produce em radiation
@@dieterdoes9497 and how would you attach an antenna to it to increase the range?
@@yadadi4438 I have not tested this yet, but a good guess would be the large screw or lid
@@dieterdoes9497 are you fluent in morse code?
