5 guitars! Now that's a real "guitar army" lol great job as always guys, you guys are my favorite cover band !! 🤘 That Parker guitar really has a nice tone ! You guys should do "Hang On To Your Life" (Guess Who) I've NEVER heard anyone cover that song, keep on Rockin' guys ✌️
Discovered your videos today and have been watching many of them through the day. Great selection of songs that I grew up with and very well performed too. Wish there was a band like this in my area. You should have a large crowd!
Thanks , the guy on the Red SG w the solos was Matt Osterholt one of the originators of the free concert concept on labor day weekend, with his original vision in 1977. Matt hadn’t played with this event for about4-5 years cuz he moved away but was able to make it in to to play w us again in 2022. . But unfortunately, about 6 weeks after this event, Matt Osterholt passed away, so we are all grateful to have had one more time together with Matt performing. And he did a great job on his solos w John Ryan. Matt also did a couple more songs at the 2022 picnic, and you’ll look through these vids and you’ll see and hear Matt for one last time. We miss our musical brother. ♥️ RIP MATT OSTERHOLT-2022.
I've watched as many of your videos as i could find, and I've come admire your talents and this project very much. Glad your still truckin'. Much luck to you all.
Awesome! Feels like sunshine! I truly wish I could be up there jamming with you guys. You make me want to pick up my guitar and start playing. You guys rock! God bless you! Peace!
I just now came across this band. They're the real deal. You can't get any better than that. I'm gonna buy some beer and play it on my big screen TV, and have a concert in my living room tonight. Oh yeah, I subscribed. Thanks from Phx..😊
Technically we’re not “A Band” We’re a bunch of musicians who play music at an annual outside event originally a PICNIC, and we all started playing instruments around the same time, and believe it or not, most of us grew up in the same NEIGHBORHOOD Thus the name of this group for practical purposes NPB . NEIGHBORHOOD PICNIC BAND. We’re from the NW Subs outside of Chgo. Streamwood, Algonquin, Glenview, CVille, McHenry, Some neighbors have moved into other states around the country, who still come in for this event. We do no shows other than this, and the he only time we perform these songs is in video that your watching. It’s mostly a labor of Love. Each musician has a pick of 3 songs they want to cover, then we figure out who will play or sing on them, we all work together to get these songs down the way we all remember them. With a few rare surprises like one hit wonders thrown in for Good measure lol. A GOOD SONG, is a good SONG, NO MATTER WHO RECORDED IT is our thoughts. This event happens the Day before Labor Day every year, GOD WILLING. It’s at the first preserve in Wheeling, Illinois at Dam 1 pavilion . If you come absolutely NO BOTTLES ! And clean up after yourself. If you come, make sure you tell us you were a subscriber to our TH-cam site. So we can personally THANK YOU
And zero cowbells.. A few guys banging on some cowbells would have really taken this song to the next level.. When in doubt, the answer is always more cowbell..
I have to respectfully disagree. It might not sound exactly like the allmans, but I think he has a good/cool voice. Slight imperfections of live music are sometimes great, but music is subjective. I get if you think something was off.
@@bochafish Disagree about what? I'm not saying the whole song the first bar! Somebody played a wrong chord or the singer came in at the wrong pitch. If you didn't hear that you have no basis for a valid conversation. That's four notes or did you not understand.
bassb450 I agree I was a bit pitchy on one or two notes in the first vocal line. Just to note this was the last song of two days of rehearsals and parformance. My 65 year old voice was a bit tired by this point. It couldn’t have been the multple beers I drank tee hee. Thanks for checking in and calling me out. Good ear buddy
Fantastic! The vocals were terrific. The lead guitars were wonderful!
OK - Where is this annual picnic? - I want to come!
I think this one was in wheeling, il. I recognize a couple guys from the Chicago cover scene over the years.
Friggen lead guitars were wonderful.
Amazing! Perfect voice for Alman Bros. Great band you have there.
Any band that can tackle Allman Bros with one drummer and three leads .........wow
Great solo Mr Chicago Music Exchange from 1:11 onwards 🎉🎉🎉
Amazing job, very tight! The tone on the SG is amazing.
RIGHTEOUS!! Very well done guys .
A great tribute as Dickey just died today.... Rest in peace.
The guitar work! POW!

@@sejrec56 Sorry to hear this but even more grateful that I was able to see him in these videos doing what he loved.❤
@@sejrec56He will live on forever on TH-cam. That was really good and his solo rocked. Much respect to you all.
Holy crap! you guys are great!
Wow, that was amazing. Everything was on point! I miss playing like this. This is real music.
Great job on a great tune. The drummer, the guitar players and the bass player did a helluva job. The vocals were good, too.
Just wonderful I played in garage bands for years I realize how good you are nice work.
John and Matt killer guitar lick thought i was listening to ABB ! ROCK ON !
Where is this party? Great tunes!
I like how the leads were true to the spirit of the original yet fresh and new. That is not easy to do, Dickey and Duane would be proud...

Yup
Great job guys. Guitar #2 a little closer to the correct smooth vibe of the recording but still quite good overall. Rarely see this done live.
WHERE IS THIS BAND FROM AND DO THEY JUST PLAY LOCALLY OR DO THEY TOUR DIFFERENT PLACES

Only two that matter

Excellent. SOOO not Taylor Swift. Love you guys!
Pretty good however exactly when the singing started that first bar was hard to listen to. Something was definitely off.
Goose fart on a muggy day...

@@bassb450 fair enough. Tough criticism for old guys playing a free show in a forest preserve.
