@@aranyadutta1784 the proactive one mean the one who often control the game.The one who make less error and always make the opponent strive the hardest in a passive way.For example when momota compete with antonsen in world championship 2019.Antonsen said that he just doesnt know what to do,doesnt know where the shuttle will go simply because momota was the clear proactive one and antonsen was always in a passive situation.Clearly that momota will have won most of the rallies anyway because he is the proactive,if he doesnt make unforced errors then he will win the rallies no matter what.So for me deception shots is just a thing,not everything,Lin Dan used it but not overused and he is the goat not because of deception,he is the goat because he has good mindset,good footwork,good understand of the game,everything.If deception was everything then why do many pros now rarely used it
