In defense of us Tobirama Fans I think people are just exhausted seeing many people downplay him and have him lose like 95% of the time. But at the same time it´s not like Tobirama is the only character that has a Fanbase that hypes him up in battles, I mean especially with Itachi as his opponent. That being said, I just want to explain my stance on the battle. Since we´re talking about alive Tobirama, I think it should be taken into consideration that Madara said, how much Tobirama is slower in Edo compared to his time alive. As well as other statements like him referring to himself only being able to create 2 Shadow Clones as pathetic, implying that while he was alive he was able to create a more impressive amount. And when it comes to the Susanno saying that Tobirama has Experience with it shouldn´t be a far stretched opinion given his many Battles with Uchiha including those that had Mangekyo, so I think it´s fair to assume that he has a battle plan for it, even if he shouldn´t have a Jutsu that can break through it. In my opinion, Tobirama´s experience with fighting Uchiha and his speed which should be superior should give him the edge against alive Itachi.
Adding to that i'd say given what Tobirama acompmished in figuring out chakra and inventing so many Ninjutsu on his own that people heavily downplay just how smart he is. Basicly what Hashirama had in brawn he has in brain. Wich means even if he doesn't have expirience fighting Sussannoo's himself he saw Hashirama throw hands with a much bigger perfect one. And with some clones to test the waters can defenately outplay it. Overall he is perfectly trained to avoid any Uchiha shennanigans fighting them all his life and even slaying the second strongest at that time. He more or less has very good sensory abilities and by creating steam and with the flying Raijin he is booth avoiding all genjutsu and is extremely mobile. He also has all chakra natures and created most jutsu Hiruzen mastered. Adding his strong and big senju chakra pool, and Veteran background from Hashi/Madar war times against the Uchiha clan in their prime he can 100% deal with most of Itachi's arsenal. In the mist where Itachi is blind. If he lures Itachi in his sussannoo ontop of any ground seal he teleports inside and gets him. If not Sussannoo will dry Itachi of chakra quickly. Id 100% give this to Toborams because of his background, intellect, broad arsenal, heritage and of course deep insight on everything Uchiha. The man fking studied them. ;,)

I like Tobirama and dislike him at the same time, well his ultimate darkness isn't going anywhere with skilled sharingan users, his IQ and battle IQ is one of the biggest but so as itachi's, he grew up in the war era but at the same time itachi is fairly stronger than Izuna was, Itachi is weaker than Madara but he has bigger IQ and Battle IQ than Madara, Madara's MS abilities grant in the end only passive ability to see thru clones, but Itachi had also some degree of sensory, I'm not Itachi's ultra fan but I think that he would be able to win against Tobirama especially bcs Tobirama had arrogance, physically Tobirama was stronger and faster and stamina but itachi had more hax and that would but him at the top, but Tobirama had no sage mode like Hashirama. And with Minato I also think that Itachi is clear, he was skillful with flying rajin and had rasengan he was op but again Itachi had again more HAX, again not to downplay Minato but I personally rank prime kages Hashirama, Hiruzen(even tho it was stated several times that prime hiruzen was stronger than Hashirama, but it's probably mistake made in long term writing) Tobirama and Minato. But when we talk about all of kages, its Naruto, Hashirama, Hiruzen, Tobirama, Minato, Tsunade,Kakashi and Shikamaru.

Tbh the real issue with minato is not yet mention, itachi hearing about the flying raijin does not mean he knows the full mechanics. Hiruzen has access to ftg yet he never mastered its use, hiruzen is a genius i doubt itachi knows the full extent of what minato can do with ftg. A lot of people knows that minato can teleport to his kunai, what about the ability to mark his opponent? No one really knows about that until its too late until they already get close and personal with minato. any taijutsu confrontation itachi has with minato especially if minato is bodyflicker around and is mixing it up with the kunai, itachi is gonna get marked atleast once, and you have to admit, minato marks almost everyone he fights, he marks obito despite having KAMUI, and he marls killer bee tgrough his tentacles and it still worked, it is consistent enough to say minato would mark itachi if they came close, and then its kinda over because minato can get to itachi at anytime, minato would fully control that battle from before it begins really he can allow itachi to exhaust his chakra, and with that shadow clones that can also teleport to itachi as well? I think minato would win by time they got outside the uchiha hideout, because again itachi knows about the kunai, but that does not mean he knows about minato ability to mark his opponent and be able to teleport to them at anytime, nobody ever knows about it besides obito and madara, who literally saw both minato and tobirama did it, one getting marked and destroyed could not react, and the other lost his brother getting taken out by the jutsu,same brother who was relative to madara at the time, thats just me though.
If we’re being realistic to Itachi’s character, he’s not gonna blindly run into the fight with no battle plan. Especially against the fourth Hokage who he likely knows about due to him being a kid at the time of Minato’s reign. If anything he’ll use a crow clone to gather insight about his abilities and then configure a plan form there.
About the Minato kunai point people in the series have been shown to make summoning tags that they wear on their sleeves (Sasuke possibly Itachi too) so Minato most likely has summoning tags up his sleeves

all the kunais he has ever tagged are always "in storage" for him. they do not need to be together in a safe warehouse, as he can just teleport to any and all of them whenever and come back immediately
It’s a small detail most people miss, but canonically basically every ninja is actually summoning kunai to the battlefield. You know Ten Ten’s whole deal with the big scrolls? The standard flack jacket has several small scrolls for the same purpose.
Minato had infinite kunai because whenever he needs another one, he can just teleport to an old one and teleport back to the fight. He is just that fast. Whenever he teleports, he actually teleports twice.

I think the @ThunderGodGT is gaslighting me here, you're telling me that Minato who was only speed blitzed by two Ten tails jinjuriki, in this story will somehow struggle to tag Itachi, we're just gonna dismiss that he tags Obito after a few minutes and whoops both Obito and the nine tails with Chakra to spare, even though Itachi needed prep like Konan just to tag the guy. Obito who's body was just reconstructed with Gedo statue Chakra and Hashirama cells and was using what might be the fastest Sharingan ability gets whooped in their first meeting but... No, Minato's gonna struggle against Itachi. The author comes back to the man's story and says at 13 he was able to keep a full Nine tails a Chakra beast at bay whilst an Uzumaki was struggling and needed a land seal just to keep it at bay. Tbh I think 3T Itachi is enough for Tsunade and Old Hiruzen. Orochimaru has a 5 in genjutsu in the databook stats, which aren't that reliable for comparisons to other characters, but definitely is indicative of specialties, so he's definitely no genjutsu slouch, and still got negged. I don't think that's a sign that he's prone to genjutsu, just that even Itachi's basic Sharingan genjutsu is that potent. Even if it doesn't immobilize them forever, he could do what he did to Orochimaru but be less merciful and while they're trying to break out, he cuts off their heads. As for Minato and Tobirama, I honestly think Jonin Minato is a better matchup cause I strongly subscribe to the KCM2 meta for Hokage Minato, and that's simply too fast for Itachi to consistently deal with. Also I don't think the Itachi vs KCM Naruto is very indicative of Itachi's speed, but not really for the reasons you outlined, but rather because Naruto is heavily fatigued from dividing his chakra evenly between himself and 13 clones, which we know is a nerf as Tobirama implies Hashirama would be stronger if he reabsorbed his clones. Tobirama vs Itachi is more interesting, but I do still favor him because he has scalings to/above a stronger version of Sasuke than the one comparable to Edo Itachi.
Why would Hokage Minato have KCM2 in this situation though? He didn’t have the 9 tails in him until the moment of his death. While i don’t think it makes sense for him to have KCM he would have sage mode in this fight. With that said I’d say he prob wins without it. Only way I’d see Itatchi beating Minato woul be through some clever Amataratsu placement. Such as using Amataratsu on the kunai to force Minato into a certain position. Even then it would be hard for Itatchi to land a killing blow.

For example Hiruzen who has knowledge of itatchi, almost all jutsu and every style shouldnt be the shortest section. If hes pulling up like sasuke did why the hell wouldnt enma be summoned already. He always had enma in the adamite staff form in his previous mission flashback’s.
Out of all the Sannins kits, Tsunade’s is probably the best suited to take Itachi on. Not that she would win, but she has a couple soft counters to him. (Best chakra control in verse, auto chakra pumping jutsu, regeneration, and the actual AP needed to damage a Susanno)
tsunade would be the easiest for Itachi to beat. She intentionally tanks attacks. Itachi is just going to seal her with Susano and insta win with no difficulty
She might be able to resiset the genjutsu better than the other two, but Amaterasu and Totsuka Blade would both one shot her. Plus he is faster and has a sussanno.
Tsunade’s kit is the worst actually. You need to be slippery to fight Itachi because so may of his abilities are oneshot hax. If Tsunade gets engulfed by Amaterasu, then she has to expend chakra to stay alive for the rest of the fight while Itachi can just keep his distance at that point. She’s a brawler with no background in training against Sharingan users, so fighting Itachi whilst avoiding eye contact is completely unreasonable. She’s getting hit with Tsukuyomi, and that’s putting her down if Itachi goes HAM. She is confident with her endurance and regeneration, plus no knowledge of Totsuka Blade. Once she gets shanked, assuming she could easily regen from it, she’s sealed.
@mrperson1324 She doesn't intentionally tank attacks. Her 1st best option is evasion as that's what the primary and most important rule of a medical ninja is and should be "don't get hit." She has the strength to break susanoo and is fast enough to keep up with itachi and has better reaction than him. Plus tsunade based on her introduction probably could have diagnosed the illness itachi has and take advantage of it. Plus there's Katsuyu who's just gonna straight up overwhelm itachi. Byakugou allows her to tank attacks, I agree but she's not gonna just be using up her chakra unnecessarily if she could just evade.

Imo Itachi vs Minato and Tobirama is a bit more clear in favor of the 2 kage, 7/10 or even 8/10 for them, Edo Itachi being another story like you said. The Kakashi section was a little weird for me. Can't speak on Hokage Kakashi as I've never read the novels myself. But is War Arc Kakashi consistently rated this high? I keep hearing people rate him high, when he never stood out heavily to me. A War Arc Kakashi video may be my no1 needed video to improve my Naruto education lol
I am a huge Kakashi fanboy but I disagree with the point that his War arc self clips Tobirama and EMS Sasuke, I do think he has a really good chance of winning but overall is around that level, he has shown a really good and concistent relativity to at least base Minato when they were fighting Black Zetsu, and even some degree of dashing speed relativity to KCM Minato, even though he is still clearly overall inferior. His punches were strong enough to draw blood from Obito who showed great levels of durability, and his Raikiri completly pierced Obito doing more damage than even KCM Naruto’s Rasengan, and the cherry on top is how ridiculous Kamui is, it’s speed is like a blitz level above Kakashi’s own speed, he could teleport the entire body of a Naruto KCM2 clone going at full speed before Obito could realize, he absorbed Minato’s Rasengan before it could hit him so fast that also Minato didn’t realize, and he managed to absorb the entire arm of the Gedo Mazo before it was summoned by Madara again faster than Minato could do anything, and all of these feats with Kamui were without any of the Kurama chakra amps. And as far as hokage Kakashi it gets kinda of ridiculous, right after he lost his sharingan he is at least comparable to above de Raikage, since he was keeping up with and overwhelming a kunoichi who could toy with the Raikage, and in the later novel he casually beat an army with stealth, básico Genjutsu and Taijutsu, and later displayed some casual Country level to continental level feats with a Fire style Jutsu that could counter a ninja tool from the sage of Six paths, that on top of the statements of being imcomparably stronger than his War arc self. And if you want to consider the Boruto Anime canon he also was considered a troublesome opponent by Kashin Koji, the same guy that could press a weakened Jigen

If we are talking Tobirama when he's alive, then yes, he would be able to use Tandem Paper bombs. It was confirmed in the manga when Hiruzen referred to it as Tobirama's "specialty jutsu." All Tobirama needs to perform TPB is an Edo Tensei and the DNA of the person he wants to bring back. Considering that he's the one that invented the Edo Tensei and that he's an almighty Shinobi Warlord that has killed hundreds of people, I'm sure he'd be able to summon one. But it's kinda silly saying that he couldn't use it as we know that Hiruzen has witnessed him use Tandem Paper bombs at least several times when he was alive. And no, the Yata Mirror isn't blocking it. Paper bombs are not chakra based, and TPB scale way above Itachi's Susanno. Plus it's not omnidirectional, it would be enveloped by the explosion. If I tried to block a grenade explosion with a titanium shield, I'd die.
So he CAN use it while he’s alive but, it’s MUCH harder compared to as an Edo as he has to summon edo’s who have no idea how they are strength wise meaning it’s impossible to say if they’d be fast enough to pull this off on Itachi, possible wording mishap by me but it’s more so just not as optimal. As far as the Yata Mirror it 1000% is blocking it as it completely formed around the paper bombs Sasuke threw at the Susanoo. The Tandem would be no different.
@ThunderGodTG No, the Yata Mirror is not blocking it. Tandem Paper bombs is a way bigger and more powerful of an explosion than the 7 Paper bombs that Sasuke threw at it. That comparison is silly, as if seven Paper bombs going off is the same as tens of thousands. And we never seen Itachi block attacks with the Yata Mirror from behind. It's never shown to be able to do that. The Yata Mirror doesn't function like Gaara's sand. His Susanno would be INSIDE, the explosion. As for the Edo Tensei, they don't have to be as fast as itachi, Tobirama can just teleport them close enough to Itachi.
So I'll say this I'm under the interpretation the Yata Mirror is Omni Directional, if you're not that's fine and I think you can make a Valid Case for Tandem via the AP difference. As far as the Edo it 1000% Matters stat wise as they have to be controlled to puncture they're chest and blow themselves up, which they'd have to be fast enough to do unless you say Tobirama makes them do it and then teleports them which is more so dependant on if he has a Kunai on/near Itachi or has him marked. Otherwise if they run up and try it Itachi in character can just seal them and has some pretty cracked feats via Totsuka Blade speed so it is relevant. That's really all otherwise we can agree to disagree it's possible I should say just more so on some minor interpretation stuff. I was more so saying that I wouldn't use nameless shinobi being controlled who we have no idea strength wise as an optimal use for Tandem, but them being teleported near Itachi even as the explosion goes off is a good point I should have included.
@ThunderGodTG Itachi has no such feats where he sealed multiple moving targets with Totsuka Blade. In fact, all of the people we've seen Itachi seal with Totsuka Blade were stationary. I'm not saying he couldn't seal them, but he probably wouldn't be able to seal all of them while being bombarded by multi-shadow clones, and Tobirama hitting him with large-scale waterstyle jutsu. And it's not like surprise attacks will play a huge factor like how he sealed Nagato, considering that Tobirama is a top 3 sensor in the story and will pretty much know where Itachi is at all times. Not to mention that I don't even think that the Yata Mirror would be able to withstand the attack regardless. Itachi can't just block any and every attack. It has its limitations. This is why Itachi didn't try to block Nagato's Chibaku Tensei with Yata Mirror. If he could have, he would've told Bee and Naruto to get close to him and expanded the size of the Yata Mirror. And we're talking about an attack that scales above the Ten Tails Tailed Beast Bomb.
Given we talk of Tobirama and seen him make good use of mist to blind Izuna. Mixed with his high level sensory and Flying thunder god he can just summon the edo or even more then one and FTG teleport them over all around itachi who'd be a blind sitting duck in the sussannoo. Then teleport out. We do know he is much faster alive, can use much more clones as well. Implying since two were his limit as an edo and he called it pathetic he could at least use 3 or 4. But given the multiple shadowclones scroll Naruto stole is a jutsu Tobirama invented and he is a senju he might even be able to summon a squad alive. So in conclusion: -He has the brains for the tactics. As he's possibly even smarter or very much on par with Itachi or Minato on intellect. (Just by how perfectly he studied and understood chakra and laid the whole groundwork of what modern shinobi learned in the academy he created. The Jutsu he invented from scratch. And his overall battle iq and adaptability.) -Has livelong Uchiha battle expirience and studied every aspect of them in and out. Therfor he has counters and tactics for basicly everything. -Has a very vast arsenal of abilities. (Most scrolls and jutsu including the forbidden ones he invented) -Has the speed as he is reffered as much slower then alive by Madara. Implying the already very fast edo is just a nerf. -As a Senju he has a big chakra pool, and apparantly strong one too as he effected the enviorment just lifting a finger. Thou we can't say what extend that has. BUT a healthy Senju outlasts alive itachi by miles in chakra and a good vision.
10:11 - you seem to forget that Tsunade was constantly replenishing the other kage's chakra and healing them. Plus just not long ago, she super powered ohnoki's particle style jutsu. And after all that she still used a chakra shroud to deflect a more concentrated firestyle jutsu from madara. In this case it'll be Tsunade only and itachi does not have chakra anywhere close to hers.

I actually am of the opinion that Kabuto simply drowned Sasuke out, the manga makes it less clear in the anime Sasuke susanoo dissipates due to it being flooded with water, it doesn’t break, this would be consistent with how the ribcage is structured as there is openings at the top and bottom that have been exploited before + air flow can go throw it like we see with Sasuke vs Danzo. It’s just not a usable AP feat imo. Although Kabuto does make the statement in surpassing Tobirama in other ways it seems weird to say he just has better water style off of 1 feat.

It’s just weird. Based on the Sannin’s lore Jiraiya should he relative to the Raikage, but based on what we see it’s hard to believe.

If Gaara hadn't stopped it, the Raikage and MS Sasuke would've killed eachother. And directly before the kage summit Obito and Zetsu tell Sasuke to his face "Naruto is stronger than you now" and they took him to the Kage summit to get stronger from hatred amps and combat against the kage. Because the kage are weaker than sage Naruto. The only MS Sasuke that might be relative to Sage Naruto is the one that fought Danzo... and even that's hard to say since it only lasted 1 fight before he went blind.

But I would caution against placing Ay firmly below Sage Naruto since he had such a bad matchup against Sasuke, he’s a Taijutsu specialist going against someone with Amaterasu coated Susanoo. Sage Naruto in the very early war arc (base Naruto doesn’t get demonstrably stronger between the pain and early war arc, there’s actually a shockingly small time frame between all 3 arcs) could crack the third Raikage’s skin with a rasengan so he should very much be able to hurt the fourth (at least more than Sasuke’s chidori did with his rasengan and wind style rasengan). I actually think that Sage Naruto and the Raikage might be close to relative in raw stats, but honestly I need to do a deep dive into Sage Naruto vs the Raikage
If the scenario is the exact same for the kage as it was for sasuke, then the kage will have prep time. With prep time Tobirama could preemptively make multiple kunai with ftg markings and cast edo tensei prior to the fight.

I'll lay out my predictions before watching: Hashirama blows Itachi out of the water. Dude is a monster. Tobirama is strong, but Itachi has too much going for him to lose to him in most situations. Itachi's sickness is definitely troublesome, but Tobirama is more of a match-up for EMS Sasuke. Hiruzen is one of the most interesting cases, because if you subscribe to the older lore of him being *the* Giga Chad Hokage and put him in his youth, he's got a decent enough case with his arsenal and some of his elemental ninjutsu being pretty potent for what they are. Though, old Hiruzen seems shaky to me. Minato doesn't have the most AP, barring his one-shot story, but his speed, especially with FTG, are just too much for Itachi to keep up with, especially if he's sick. I give that match to him. Tsunade's very much a tank like Hashirama, but even with her cracked raw power, she just doesn't have the speed to contend with Itachi and she'd probably get Genjutsu fondled. Kakashi is sort of like Hiruzen's case where he has a massive arsenal with some answers to Itachi, but it really depends on just how much of the heavy lifting you feel he did during the final few fights during the War Arc. I think he's got relative, if not superior speed, given he fights directly alongside KCM Naruto and assists the others, but Itachi's Mangekyo still pose a very real threat. I'm a bit split on this round, personally. Hokage Naruto wins. No discussion. The guy is fucking nuts.

the problem with arguing that the older you get and the more experience you accumulate being directly equatable to raw stats (battle iq in this case) is that you would have to believe old ass characters like granny chiyo or the village elders (or even zetsu, for that matter) make up for their skill gap whenever fighting a stronger opponent just by virtue of being more experienced. also, what good does knowing about your enemies abilities do when you cannot counter them, them knowing about tsukouyomi or the totsuka blade does nothing to protect them from it. and yes, i don't believe any of the sannin will be blitzing the totsuka blade, just doesn't make sense considering nagato and eight headed serpant oro couldn't. finally, your last statement saying itschi would have a hard time with any of the sannin 1v1 is reason enough to remove what little merit your whole comment may have had. so long as debates over Itachi vs pain, Itachi vs the gokage, and Itachi vs minato are feasible and contestable, the sannin aren't winning against him, they're very clearly of different tiers.(rq, i don't think Itachi is the favourite in any of the aforementioned battles, even more so if it's any version other than edo Itachi)

To add to your point I dont even think that the tsukuyomi would affect tsunade even if she was hit by it. it put kakashi and sasuke in a comma for days but she literally touched their heads and healed them out of the effects instantly no effeort. she could quite literally do the same to herself throughout. so even if it does land the effects wouldnt.
39:20 I see the point you're trying to make, but it seems unlikely that Obito used Kamui to escape the Amaterasu. If he had, at the bare minimum his shoulder would be missing the cloth that got burned away.
He would have just Kamui'd any part that was actually hit and let the flames drop off in the Kamui dimension tbh, it would just mean he can do that faster than the Amaterasu can burn is all
One thing people need to understand about FTG is that it’s instantaneous teleportation, meaning there’s zero time between the point in which Minato teleports from point A to B, because of this Minato is more likely to be hit by wider scaled attacks in enclosed environments. There’s a reason why Minato’s seals have quite a bit of distance between them. There’s no point in teleporting away from an attack to a seal that’s like five feet away from the other, due to the nature of how FTG operates he’d still end up dealing with the attack itself unless he’s far away enough. I can see Itachi discovering this fairly quickly and using that to his advantage unless the fight is brought outdoors.

Base Bee can just bee weaker than Itachi, Naruto had previously gone beyond the speed tier base Bee was on par with so it's not that crazy. Bee also never clashes with Itachi or has some sort of hand to hand encounter he tried to just combo him like Sasuke with Itachi just avoiding him. Not that I agree with the arguments for Naruto holding back but, it is a fair interpretation.

Itachi has better combat speed feats than Minato. 1)Naruto explicitly stated twice that he doesn't hold back against edos. 2)Itachi was on autopilot 3)he only had 3t activated 4)he parried Bee's sword dance 5)he dodged a simultaneous attack from behind without even looking. This doesn't get emphasized enough. 6)he matched the strength and speed of KCM and sages without any amps. 7)he blindsided Bee, something Minato couldn't do against a weaker Bee. 8)he outmaneuvered Naruto and Bee with his combat speed alone, again something Minato couldn't do against lesser opponents. Unironically enough, Itachi is better at blindsides than Minato, and he doesn't even need FTG.
So my main qualms when people say Itachi = Naruto, and mind you I do agree this is autopilot base Sharingan Itachi is that Naruto is KCM is not going Full speed all the time in the war and in this specific instance he actually wants to question Itachi. So there is a bit of consistency to say this wouldn’t be Full Speed KCM. Now I think Itachi does scale above with MS/MS techniques but more so noting my qualms with people saying that. His MS being objectively above is also very consistent with what you outlined. This is also predicated on Minato vs KCM1 I have minato above pretty firmly so that’s also my main contention. Jonnin Minato, Jonnin Raikage, and Bee at that stage only scale to each other they can’t be linked to any other stages imo. Although again does also depend on how you interpret the fight between them.
I think Itachis stamina is underrated, he drained Sasuke, means his chakra was larger than healthy Sasuke, then fought Orochimaru and then was able to keep susano till the moment he died. And thats when he was at the last stage of cancer means his stamina without cancer would have been much better

Even then an Odama Rasengan didn’t break through a Base Ribcage, The Raikage couldn’t just shatter Sasuke’s Ribcage who is somewhat comparable to Tsunade in strength. Is it possible? 3 Questions: 1st thing I've wondered about Genjutsu VS FTG.... does using FTG cause your Chakra to become disrupted? 2nd-ly, if Minato sealed away a Susano, Itachi would just be out all of that Chrakra, right? And Minato could do that again and again? 3rd-ly, can Minato use Sage Mode to amp just his senses and reflexes while keeping his sage energy out of his techniques to conserve Chakra and sustain the length of his sage mode?
I always saw a good genjustu like getting the spins when drunk, you might be able to control it and not throw up but once it gets past a point it’s ov even if you know what’s happening
If danzo can rip through the back of Sasuke’s susanoo I’m pretty sure tobirama can do the same with water style. They say it can be just as sharp as wind style.
You do need to bring up the stamina thing to alot of the itachi haters! Even though they see the sasuke fight and see all the genjutsu's stacked on top of each other with all the amataratsu's plus the one he put out on sasuke, he used susanoo with the lego weapons and after all that he smokes my favorite in his strongest form! (Orochimaru) That's a broken little bit of stamina to me not to mention it was itachi at his very weakest

How fast can chakra flow internally to activate jutsu and fuinjutsu? Is that based on mental reaction speed to enable chakra flow? Is faster chakra flow the result of body flicker techniques?
There is a LOT of variables, it’s a mix of what you said honestly, Chakra Control + Reaction Speed, the jutsu itself also matters A LOT as some fundamentally operate far quicker than others.
For hiruzen I feel like you completely ignore some of his most pertinent techniques - namely bringer of darkness (implied to be known) and fighting by smell (explicit). I don’t think that locks in a hiruzen victory, but IMO it’s clearly his best shot against any Uchiha in a 1v1.
I mean the nagato being blitzed by Amaterasu thing, I think we can comfortably say it’s not that he was blitzed. He was taken by surprise. I think the whole situation was strange to say the least he didn’t really know his teammate was going to turn against him or thought it was possible, but he even looked surprised.

ALOT of people overlook chakra finesse/ control. The more of a genius/prodigy you are the better your understanding of chakra network and control are itachi is a genius of geniuses just like Minato and a few others. That means he can take a small bit of chakra and perform high lvl justu vs wasting or needing more chakra to perform. A lot of characters who are geniuses do this Minato kakashi Hiruzen orochimaru sasuke Nagato etc. imo either itachi or Nagato does it the best itachi because he is dying and using MS. Or Nagato because he is using eyes that aren’t his and the RINNEGAN at that so even being uzumaki the chakra tax must be insane requiring incredible chakra control and finesse (Nagato being a prodigy genius who learned all 5 chakra natures at a young age made the best of the rinnegan ) obito with ALL his GIVEN HAX couldn’t handle 2 rinnegan as a full ADULT let that sink in. Kakashi is also extremely good at chakra control as he used this to extreme as well when he had a sharingan (kakashi is also a prodigy/genius) unlike obito

In defense of us Tobirama Fans I think people are just exhausted seeing many people downplay him and have him lose like 95% of the time. But at the same time it´s not like Tobirama is the only character that has a Fanbase that hypes him up in battles, I mean especially with Itachi as his opponent. That being said, I just want to explain my stance on the battle.
Since we´re talking about alive Tobirama, I think it should be taken into consideration that Madara said, how much Tobirama is slower in Edo compared to his time alive. As well as other statements like him referring to himself only being able to create 2 Shadow Clones as pathetic, implying that while he was alive he was able to create a more impressive amount. And when it comes to the Susanno saying that Tobirama has Experience with it shouldn´t be a far stretched opinion given his many Battles with Uchiha including those that had Mangekyo, so I think it´s fair to assume that he has a battle plan for it, even if he shouldn´t have a Jutsu that can break through it.
In my opinion, Tobirama´s experience with fighting Uchiha and his speed which should be superior should give him the edge against alive Itachi.

Tbh the real issue with minato is not yet mention, itachi hearing about the flying raijin does not mean he knows the full mechanics. Hiruzen has access to ftg yet he never mastered its use, hiruzen is a genius i doubt itachi knows the full extent of what minato can do with ftg. A lot of people knows that minato can teleport to his kunai, what about the ability to mark his opponent? About the Minato kunai point people in the series have been shown to make summoning tags that they wear on their sleeves (Sasuke possibly Itachi too) so Minato most likely has summoning tags up his sleeves

Tbh I think 3T Itachi is enough for Tsunade and Old Hiruzen. Orochimaru has a 5 in genjutsu in the databook stats, which aren't that reliable for comparisons to other characters, but definitely is indicative of specialties, so he's definitely no genjutsu slouch, and still got negged. I don't think that's a sign that he's prone to genjutsu, just that even Itachi's basic Sharingan genjutsu is that potent. Even if it doesn't immobilize them forever, he could do what he did to Orochimaru but be less merciful and while they're trying to break out, he cuts off their heads.
As for Minato and Tobirama, I honestly think Jonin Minato is a better matchup cause I strongly subscribe to the KCM2 meta for Hokage Minato, and that's simply too fast for Itachi to consistently deal with. Also I don't think the Itachi vs KCM Naruto is very indicative of Itachi's speed, but not really for the reasons you outlined, but rather because Naruto is heavily fatigued from dividing his chakra evenly between himself and 13 clones, which we know is a nerf as Tobirama implies Hashirama would be stronger if he reabsorbed his clones. Tobirama vs Itachi is more interesting, but I do still favor him because he has scalings to/above a stronger version of Sasuke than the one comparable to Edo Itachi.

Out of all the Sannins kits, Tsunade’s is probably the best suited to take Itachi on. Not that she would win, but she has a couple soft counters to him. (Best chakra control in verse, auto chakra pumping jutsu, regeneration, and the actual AP needed to damage a Susanno)
tsunade would be the easiest for Itachi to beat. She intentionally tanks attacks. Itachi is just going to seal her with Susano and insta win with no difficulty
She might be able to resiset the genjutsu better than the other two, but Amaterasu and Totsuka Blade would both one shot her. Plus he is faster and has a sussanno.
Tsunade’s kit is the worst actually. You need to be slippery to fight Itachi because so may of his abilities are oneshot hax.
If Tsunade gets engulfed by Amaterasu, then she has to expend chakra to stay alive for the rest of the fight while Itachi can just keep his distance at that point.
She’s a brawler with no background in training against Sharingan users, so fighting Itachi whilst avoiding eye contact is completely unreasonable. She’s getting hit with Tsukuyomi, and that’s putting her down if Itachi goes HAM.
She is confident with her endurance and regeneration, plus no knowledge of Totsuka Blade. Once she gets shanked, assuming she could easily regen from it, she’s sealed.
@mrperson1324 She doesn't intentionally tank attacks. Her 1st best option is evasion as that's what the primary and most important rule of a medical ninja is and should be "don't get hit." She has the strength to break susanoo and is fast enough to keep up with itachi and has better reaction than him. Plus tsunade based on her introduction probably could have diagnosed the illness itachi has and take advantage of it. Plus there's Katsuyu who's just gonna straight up overwhelm itachi. Byakugou allows her to tank attacks, I agree but she's not gonna just be using up her chakra unnecessarily if she could just evade.

Imo Itachi vs Minato and Tobirama is a bit more clear in favor of the 2 kage, 7/10 or even 8/10 for them, Edo Itachi being another story like you said.
The Kakashi section was a little weird for me. Can't speak on Hokage Kakashi as I've never read the novels myself. But is War Arc Kakashi consistently rated this high? I keep hearing people rate him high, when he never stood out heavily to me. A War Arc Kakashi video may be my no1 needed video to improve my Naruto education lol
I am a huge Kakashi fanboy but I disagree with the point that his War arc self clips Tobirama and EMS Sasuke, I do think he has a really good chance of winning but overall is around that level, he has shown a really good and concistent relativity to at least base Minato when they were fighting Black Zetsu, and even some degree of dashing speed relativity to KCM Minato, even though he is still clearly overall inferior. His punches were strong enough to draw blood from Obito who showed great levels of durability, and his Raikiri completly pierced Obito doing more damage than even KCM Naruto’s Rasengan, and the cherry on top is how ridiculous Kamui is, it’s speed is like a blitz level above Kakashi’s own speed, he could teleport the entire body of a Naruto KCM2 clone going at full speed before Obito could realize, he absorbed Minato’s Rasengan before it could hit him so fast that also Minato didn’t realize, and he managed to absorb the entire arm of the Gedo Mazo before it was summoned by Madara again faster than Minato could do anything, and all of these feats with Kamui were without any of the Kurama chakra amps.
And as far as hokage Kakashi it gets kinda of ridiculous, right after he lost his sharingan he is at least comparable to above de Raikage, since he was keeping up with and overwhelming a kunoichi who could toy with the Raikage, and in the later novel he casually beat an army with stealth, básico Genjutsu and Taijutsu, and later displayed some casual Country level to continental level feats with a Fire style Jutsu that could counter a ninja tool from the sage of Six paths, that on top of the statements of being imcomparably stronger than his War arc self. And if you want to consider the Boruto Anime canon he also was considered a troublesome opponent by Kashin Koji, the same guy that could press a weakened Jigen

If we are talking Tobirama when he's alive, then yes, he would be able to use Tandem Paper bombs.
It was confirmed in the manga when Hiruzen referred to it as Tobirama's "specialty jutsu."
All Tobirama needs to perform TPB is an Edo Tensei and the DNA of the person he wants to bring back. Considering that he's the one that invented the Edo Tensei and that he's an almighty Shinobi Warlord that has killed hundreds of people, I'm sure he'd be able to summon one.
But it's kinda silly saying that he couldn't use it as we know that Hiruzen has witnessed him use Tandem Paper bombs at least several times when he was alive.
And no, the Yata Mirror isn't blocking it. Paper bombs are not chakra based, and TPB scale way above Itachi's Susanno. Plus it's not omnidirectional, it would be enveloped by the explosion.

As far as the Yata Mirror it 1000% is blocking it as it completely formed around the paper bombs Sasuke threw at the Susanoo. The Tandem would be no different.
@ThunderGodTG No, the Yata Mirror is not blocking it. Tandem Paper bombs is a way bigger and more powerful of an explosion than the 7 Paper bombs that Sasuke threw at it. That comparison is silly, as if seven Paper bombs going off is the same as tens of thousands.
And we never seen Itachi block attacks with the Yata Mirror from behind. It's never shown to be able to do that. The Yata Mirror doesn't function like Gaara's sand.
His Susanno would be INSIDE, the explosion.
As for the Edo Tensei, they don't have to be as fast as itachi, Tobirama can just teleport them close enough to Itachi.
So I'll say this I'm under the interpretation the Yata Mirror is Omni Directional, if you're not that's fine and I think you can make a Valid Case for Tandem via the AP difference.
As far as the Edo it 1000% Matters stat wise as they have to be controlled to puncture they're chest and blow themselves up, which they'd have to be fast enough to do unless you say Tobirama makes them do it and then teleports them which is more so dependant on if he has a Kunai on/near Itachi or has him marked. Otherwise if they run up and try it Itachi in character can just seal them and has some pretty cracked feats via Totsuka Blade speed so it is relevant.
That's really all otherwise we can agree to disagree it's possible I should say just more so on some minor interpretation stuff. I was more so saying that I wouldn't use nameless shinobi being controlled who we have no idea strength wise as an optimal use for Tandem, but them being teleported near Itachi even as the explosion goes off is a good point I should have included.
@ThunderGodTG Itachi has no such feats where he sealed multiple moving targets with Totsuka Blade. In fact, all of the people we've seen Itachi seal with Totsuka Blade were stationary.
I'm not saying he couldn't seal them, but he probably wouldn't be able to seal all of them while being bombarded by multi-shadow clones, and Tobirama hitting him with large-scale waterstyle jutsu. And it's not like surprise attacks will play a huge factor like how he sealed Nagato, considering that Tobirama is a top 3 sensor in the story and will pretty much know where Itachi is at all times.
Not to mention that I don't even think that the Yata Mirror would be able to withstand the attack regardless.
Itachi can't just block any and every attack. It has its limitations. This is why Itachi didn't try to block Nagato's Chibaku Tensei with Yata Mirror. If he could have, he would've told Bee and Naruto to get close to him and expanded the size of the Yata Mirror.
And we're talking about an attack that scales above the Ten Tails Tailed Beast Bomb.
Given we talk of Tobirama and seen him make good use of mist to blind Izuna.
Mixed with his high level sensory and Flying thunder god he can just summon the edo or even more then one and FTG teleport them over all around itachi who'd be a blind sitting duck in the sussannoo. Then teleport out.
We do know he is much faster alive, can use much more clones as well. Implying since two were his limit as an edo and he called it pathetic he could at least use 3 or 4.
But given the multiple shadowclones scroll Naruto stole is a jutsu Tobirama invented and he is a senju he might even be able to summon a squad alive.
So in conclusion:
-He has the brains for the tactics. As he's possibly even smarter or very much on par with Itachi or Minato on intellect. (Just by how perfectly he studied and understood chakra and laid the whole groundwork of what modern shinobi learned in the academy he created. The Jutsu he invented from scratch. And his overall battle iq and adaptability.)
-Has livelong Uchiha battle expirience and studied every aspect of them in and out. Therfor he has counters and tactics for basicly everything.
-Has a very vast arsenal of abilities. (Most scrolls and jutsu including the forbidden ones he invented)
-Has the speed as he is reffered as much slower then alive by Madara. Implying the already very fast edo is just a nerf.
-As a Senju he has a big chakra pool, and apparantly strong one too as he effected the enviorment just lifting a finger. Thou we can't say what extend that has. BUT a healthy Senju outlasts alive itachi by miles in chakra and a good vision.
10:11 - you seem to forget that Tsunade was constantly replenishing the other kage's chakra and healing them. Plus just not long ago, she super powered ohnoki's particle style jutsu. And after all that she still used a chakra shroud to deflect a more concentrated firestyle jutsu from madara. In this case it'll be Tsunade only and itachi does not have chakra anywhere close to hers.

I actually am of the opinion that Kabuto simply drowned Sasuke out, the manga makes it less clear in the anime Sasuke susanoo dissipates due to it being flooded with water, it doesn’t break, this would be consistent with how the ribcage is structured as there is openings at the top and bottom that have been exploited before + air flow can go throw it like we see with Sasuke vs Danzo. It’s just not a usable AP feat imo. Although Kabuto does make the statement in surpassing Tobirama in other ways it seems weird to say he just has better water style off of 1 feat.

But I would caution against placing Ay firmly below Sage Naruto since he had such a bad matchup against Sasuke, he’s a Taijutsu specialist going against someone with Amaterasu coated Susanoo. Sage Naruto in the very early war arc (base Naruto doesn’t get demonstrably stronger between the pain and early war arc, there’s actually a shockingly small time frame between all 3 arcs) could crack the third Raikage’s skin with a rasengan so he should very much be able to hurt the fourth (at least more than Sasuke’s chidori did with his rasengan and wind style rasengan). I actually think that Sage Naruto and the Raikage might be close to relative in raw stats, but honestly I need to do a deep dive into Sage Naruto vs the Raikage

I'll lay out my predictions before watching:
Hashirama blows Itachi out of the water. Dude is a monster.
Tobirama is strong, but Itachi has too much going for him to lose to him in most situations. Itachi's sickness is definitely troublesome, but Tobirama is more of a match-up for EMS Sasuke.
Hiruzen is one of the most interesting cases, because if you subscribe to the older lore of him being *the* Giga Chad Hokage and put him in his youth, he's got a decent enough case with his arsenal and some of his elemental ninjutsu being pretty potent for what they are. Though, old Hiruzen seems shaky to me.
Minato doesn't have the most AP, barring his one-shot story, but his speed, especially with FTG, are just too much for Itachi to keep up with, especially if he's sick. I give that match to him.
Tsunade's very much a tank like Hashirama, but even with her cracked raw power, she just doesn't have the speed to contend with Itachi and she'd probably get Genjutsu fondled.
Kakashi is sort of like Hiruzen's case where he has a massive arsenal with some answers to Itachi, but it really depends on just how much of the heavy lifting you feel he did during the final few fights during the War Arc. I think he's got relative, if not superior speed, given he fights directly alongside KCM Naruto and assists the others, but Itachi's Mangekyo still pose a very real threat.
I'm a bit split on this round, personally.

the problem with arguing that the older you get and the more experience you accumulate being directly equatable to raw stats (battle iq in this case) is that you would have to believe old ass characters like granny chiyo or the village elders (or even zetsu, for that matter) make up for their skill gap whenever fighting a stronger opponent just by virtue of being more experienced. also, what good does knowing about your enemies abilities do when you cannot counter them, them knowing about tsukouyomi or the totsuka blade does nothing to protect them from it. and yes, i don't believe any of the sannin will be blitzing the totsuka blade, just doesn't make sense considering nagato and eight headed serpant oro couldn't.
finally, your last statement saying itschi would have a hard time with any of the sannin 1v1 is reason enough to remove what little merit your whole comment may have had. so long as debates over Itachi vs pain, Itachi vs the gokage, and Itachi vs minato are feasible and contestable, the sannin aren't winning against him, they're very clearly of different tiers.(rq, i don't think Itachi is the favourite in any of the aforementioned battles, even more so if it's any version other than edo Itachi)

Tsunade is a master combatant and has 5/5 in taijutsu in all databooks. People keep downplaying her taijutsu skills and she bested everyone she fought in taijutsu. Katsuyu will be hard for itachi to handle and can't put her down whatsoever. Tsunade has the strength to shatter his susanoo. Plus if she releases byakugou with Katsuyu present Katsuyu would also be boosted as she directly scales to the byakugou seal. Genjutsu won't work thanks to byakugou and if Katsuyu is summoned would just negate that all together no matter the lvl of genjutsu used as she is telepathically linked to the seal no matter the distance or how many clones of her there are. Katsuyu's acid is more potent than amateratsu as it evaporates solid rock instantly into nothing but vapor. Tsunade as can you offensive medical ninjutsu vs itachi to screw him up big time. Plus, tsunade based on her introduction probably could have diagnosed the illness itachi has and take advantage of it. Being a perfect jinjuuriki does not mean you have perfect chakra control... Tsunade is all about chakra control, and so is medical ninjutsu she will know that its a genjutsu. Plus, with katsuyu being present, it just makes it even better for her.
Katsuyu's acid is natural and sage energy, which means it'll eat right through the yata mirror. Kirin is not natural as sasuke has to use firestyle jutsu and a bit of lightning chakra to start the jutsu. Over time, it builds up on its own with the help of science.
Itachi is not speed blitzing Tsunade who has shown some of the best reaction feats in the series on a whole. He cannot one-shot her while she can in many ways.
Body pathway derangement is one of the many offensive medical ninjutsu that will seriously screw itachi over. Chakra scalpel is also very deadly in h2h combat and she has other offensive medical ninjutsu to use in her arsenal.
Tsunade literally shattered susanoo on her own... She did not need any help to do so. The 1st punch cracked it and the kick shattered the entire defense both from the front and the back... She oneshotted a full-body susanoo with one punch while no other kage could do anything.

2. Itachi faster than Tsunade? 😂, besides the Edo Tensei version which was enhanced by Kabuto, any other version of Itachi, has yet to prove that he is relative in speed with the 4th raikage the way Tsunade proved in the war arc.
So no, Akatsuki Itachi isn't faster than Tsunade, his actual proven feats doesn't even indicate him to be at least her equal in speed, let alone faster.
3. " Totsuka blade 1 shots Katsuyu? " Totsuka it's useless against Katsuyu because she can split in thousands of clones, try harder Itachi cheerleader.

And the Yata mirror it's also useless because he cannot defend the back, the sides and the head of his Susano'o with that rigid frontal shield.

One thing people need to understand about FTG is that it’s instantaneous teleportation, meaning there’s zero time between the point in which Minato teleports from point A to B, because of this Minato is more likely to be hit by wider scaled attacks in enclosed environments. There’s a reason why Minato’s seals have quite a bit of distance between them. There’s no point in teleporting away from an attack to a seal that’s like five feet away from the other, due to the nature of how FTG operates he’d still end up dealing with the attack itself unless he’s far away enough. I can see Itachi discovering this fairly quickly and using that to his advantage unless the fight is brought outdoors.

2)Itachi was on autopilot

4)he parried Bee's sword dance
5)he dodged a simultaneous attack from behind without even looking. This doesn't get emphasized enough.
6)he matched the strength and speed of KCM and sages without any amps.
7)he blindsided Bee, something Minato couldn't do against a weaker Bee.
8)he outmaneuvered Naruto and Bee with his combat speed alone, again something Minato couldn't do against lesser opponents.
Unironically enough, Itachi is better at blindsides than Minato, and he doesn't even need FTG.
So my main qualms when people say Itachi = Naruto, and mind you I do agree this is autopilot base Sharingan Itachi is that Naruto is KCM is not going Full speed all the time in the war and in this specific instance he actually wants to question Itachi. So there is a bit of consistency to say this wouldn’t be Full Speed KCM.
Now I think Itachi does scale above with MS/MS techniques but more so noting my qualms with people saying that. His MS being objectively above is also very consistent with what you outlined.
This is also predicated on Minato vs KCM1 I have minato above pretty firmly so that’s also my main contention. Jonnin Minato, Jonnin Raikage, and Bee at that stage only scale to each other they can’t be linked to any other stages imo. Although again does also depend on how you interpret the fight between them.

34:33 basic kunai and basic rasengans...Why can't a rasengans break through a susano? You said basic but Minato just like Jiraya and Naruto can make them bigger. Rasengan's can be as strong as the amount of chakra you put in them. It honestly felt like you were downplaying the jutsu by mentioning kunai right before. They are in no way comparable. Love your channel though just wanted to point out this issue I had.
Also oneshot Minato's incomplete rasengan is pretty impressive considering we're talking about now Hokage Minato with access to sage mode if you want to go that far.
Even then an Odama Rasengan didn’t break through a Base Ribcage, The Raikage couldn’t just shatter Sasuke’s Ribcage who is somewhat comparable to Tsunade in strength. Is it possible? Sure but we just haven’t seen evidence Minato’s Rasengan is Susanoo shattering level is more so what it is.

3 Questions:
1st thing I've wondered about Genjutsu VS FTG.... does using FTG cause your Chakra to become disrupted?
2nd-ly, if Minato sealed away a Susano, Itachi would just be out all of that Chrakra, right? And Minato could do that again and again?
3rd-ly, can Minato use Sage Mode to amp just his senses and reflexes while keeping his sage energy out of his techniques to conserve Chakra and sustain the length of his sage mode?
I always saw a good genjustu like getting the spins when drunk, you might be able to control it and not throw up but once it gets past a point it’s ov even if you know what’s happening
If danzo can rip through the back of Sasuke’s susanoo I’m pretty sure tobirama can do the same with water style. They say it can be just as sharp as wind style.

Even though they see the sasuke fight and see all the genjutsu's stacked on top of each other with all the amataratsu's plus the one he put out on sasuke, he used susanoo with the lego weapons and after all that he smokes my favorite in his strongest form! (Orochimaru)
That's a broken little bit of stamina to me not to mention it was itachi at his very weakest

How fast can chakra flow internally to activate jutsu and fuinjutsu? Is that based on mental reaction speed to enable chakra flow? Is faster chakra flow the result of body flicker techniques?
There is a LOT of variables, it’s a mix of what you said honestly, Chakra Control + Reaction Speed, the jutsu itself also matters A LOT as some fundamentally operate far quicker than others.

For hiruzen I feel like you completely ignore some of his most pertinent techniques - namely bringer of darkness (implied to be known) and fighting by smell (explicit). I don’t think that locks in a hiruzen victory, but IMO it’s clearly his best shot against any Uchiha in a 1v1.
I mean the nagato being blitzed by Amaterasu thing, I think we can comfortably say it’s not that he was blitzed. He was taken by surprise. I think the whole situation was strange to say the least he didn’t really know his teammate was going to turn against him or thought it was possible, but he even looked surprised.

If orochimarus claims that the byakugou can heal from sealing jutsu ( Tsunade healing the death repear seal) base on the fact that the byakugou cames from the Uzumaki clan which known for sealing jutsu then Id say tsunade vs Itachi is very close

Hundred healings + Byakugou > totsuka blade (naruto episode 74)

ALOT of people overlook chakra finesse/ control. The more of a genius/prodigy you are the better your understanding of chakra network and control are itachi is a genius of geniuses just like Minato and a few others. That means he can take a small bit of chakra and perform high lvl justu vs wasting or needing more chakra to perform. A lot of characters who are geniuses do this Minato kakashi Hiruzen orochimaru sasuke Nagato etc. imo either itachi or Nagato does it the best itachi because he is dying and using MS. Or Nagato because he is using eyes that aren’t his and the RINNEGAN at that so even being uzumaki the chakra tax must be insane requiring incredible chakra control and finesse (Nagato being a prodigy genius who learned all 5 chakra natures at a young age made the best of the rinnegan ) obito with ALL his GIVEN HAX couldn’t handle 2 rinnegan as a full ADULT let that sink in. Kakashi is also extremely good at chakra control as he used this to extreme as well when he had a sharingan (kakashi is also a prodigy/genius) unlike obito
