Hi, thanks so much!! I actually never record with a click track, even when wearing headphones. I find it distracting plus in most of my songs the tempo fluctuates a little. If I’m in the situation where I want drums on a track then I might record that song live with the drummer.
Lovely song and performance too. Your guitar and vocals sound great. The visuals are soft and warm, and the song is excellent. I enjoyed this. Thank you.
So, finally commenting using my proper content creation account 🙂 This was really useful and is similar to how I do things but I am definitely gonna be stealing a few of your ideas... the one-take video is what I always go for so this was just right for my needs. Still deciding whether I am gonna go with a condenser or ribbon for the one mic setup! Also love the small forest of guitars in the background 😀 Have you done a video on post-processing these one-mike takes? Mix and master... or just master? You're welcome to check out my last video, which is where I'm going from now on. I just need a bit of a better sound 😊
Hi, thanks for the comment. Glad you enjoyed the video! Sorry for my late reply, it usually takes me a while to get back to everyone. Yeah I think I’ll probably do another video all about how I mix and master, but it’ll be a lot shorter as most of my sound is in the pre-production. I checked out your latest video, very nice! Are you using just a pickup with amplification for your guitar there? I really like the setting, were you really outside or was that a green screen? Cheers, Fabian
Hey Geej, thanks! Glad you enjoyed the behind the scenes look into my process. Yeah absolutely, the more time you spend on prep production then the less time you have to spend on post production. 😊👍
Very nice!
Thanks ☺️ 🙏

H i Fabian, very interesting. Now I know why your videos always sound (and look) so good. It's all in the preparation.
