  • From start to finish. From the very first time a customer sets foot in our shop to order their Peak Mountain Camp, It’s our goal to make their dream camp a reality . We discuss everything from layout of the sheep camp to colors and from that point we go to work. Before any power tools are turned on things are laid out on the computer. What this does is allows us to run everything past the customer and let them see a rendering of the end product. Once the final rendering is complete and agreed upon work begins. This process of using computer programming and automated tools keeps our fit and finish to our expectations. It hasn’t been that long ago when everything in these camps was hand cut. As good as those days were we still don’t miss them. Not because we didn’t love making each individual piece by hand but because the end results are so much better now. Hope you enjoy this short clip of the build process from start to finish (minus the wood burning stove)

I like the build quality, great job. I really like the custom built friction welding tool for installing the tank fittings :)

Spin welding is usually quite enjoyable unless wearing a short sleeve shirt. 😬

Great question ... I am sure Peak Mountain Camps could weigh in on that ... there is a base price and then increases based on upgrades requested by the customer. I would say ... priceless ... but I am biased

I know I am a sheep camp nerd ... but that was just plain cool! Very exciting to see the build process from computer to a happy customer rolling out with a big smile and a new camp in tow. Hard not to wonder about the adventures that lie ahead for that camp. Nice video! 👍

The owner is taking social distancing to heart. This camp in the short time it has been out of the shop has already seen a good chunk of the state of Utah.

Hi, looking at several builders including your prime competitor there in UT. I'm looking for a weather durable camp that will last many many years in cold wet environments. One of the biggest issues I have with trailers is water intrusion from the floor. Road spray and slushy mountain passes will drive water into the floor and fiberglass batt. Curious how you're protecting the camp from this? Looks like you're using OSB with house wrap on the bottom of the floor. Would much prefer to see treated T&G ply or some of the synthetic sheathing products out there.

We have built camps with several different variations of building materials and we are happy to accommodate any requests you may have. On several things we may want to discuss the advantages or disadvantages associated, helping you make an education decision. The way the majority of our camps floors are built consist of a 1/4 corrugated plastic that is followed by a 7/16 osb but could easily be done with treated sheeting. I will mention that before any of the r19 batting goes in, all seams and edges are coated in spray in insulation foam. This limits the possibility of water intrusion greatly. Not sure where you are located but we would love to have you out to or facilities any time. We also encourage all of our customers to look at our competitors camps. Camps are a big investment and we want you to know exactly what you are getting. We are completely confident that we are producing the best camp at the best price but in the end it will be your decision.
