    Making your own dressing and bringing it with you can also be helpful when you have plans to go out to eat but no specific restaurant choice. Then you're usually good to go by modifying a salad selection even if there's no avocado. (And its a little less intimidating to bring in a small sauce jar than a whole meal if you're not used to it.)

      MsBeckly I agree ! I make my own raw vegan dressing at home, and can pour it over a salad I order when eating out. Makes things much easier !

    Haha I can relate to this so much, I think it’s awesome that you take your own food to restaurants. I was raw vegan for a little while once and I used to do this all the time, even when I was juice fasting I would go out with my family to a pub and just bring freshly made organic juices and drink juice instead of eating. One time I was invited to a Chinese restaurant and I just really really didn’t want to eat anything greasy or filled with MSG even if it was vegan, and it was short notice and all I had at home was organic rolled oats and Bananas so I brought porridge to a Chinese restaurant 😂

    I notice you eat pineapple. today I was eating one. it smelled weird. I looked at it closely, but could not see any mold, but I could not help but to feel it smelled like mold. what's your experience?

    • @OliviaBudgen
      @OliviaBudgen  7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi Jose, you're welcome :) perhaps the pineapple you got wasn't high quality. Mine are yellow, smell sweet and taste delicious. Trust your intuition and senses - if it doesn't smell good, don't eat it.

    What's you opinion about this juicer. I heard a lot that Angel is very difficult to clean. I have Solostar4 and it's mervelous, before I tested at least 10 different juicers. Sacred Raw Food

      @OliviaBudgen  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      KaroAdC I absolutely adore my angel juicer. I've used it multiple times per day for 5 years and it's given me no problems at all. It probably does take a little longer to clean, but I don't mind 😌🙏🏻

    Thank you very much for the inspiration, Olivia! I’m on my way to raw veganism, and find your content very helpful! Thank you for that! You are beautiful inside and out, always vibrant and glowing. Watching your videos makes me want to include more raw fruits and veggies into my diet.
    Also, good choice with your evening outfit in this video! Very chic, but not over-the-top. Just perfect 👌Here, in Poland it’s already quite chilly, so thick clothes came into play, but at least I can conjure up the summer by eating delicious fruits and veggies 😉🍏🍌🍊🥥🍅🥑🥒🥕🥗
    Much love from Poland! Happy Christmas to you and your family! 🎄🎄

    I have been a raw vegan for a while now, and probably consume 3:1.... 3 being mostly leafy greens and vegetables including (avocados up to 3 a day) One being nuts and seeds and fruit.....what would you consider how you eat? Do you consume more fruit than greens or more greens than fruit ( on average)?☺ thanks

    • @OliviaBudgen

    I am I high carb low fat vegan and I really admire raw vegans. I actually tried to go raw vegan last week one day but after the first meal I already felt really bad and late at night I craved so much food. Does it have to with the cold weather I live in holland its pretty cold here I dont know but I really want it to work !! Love you a lott yr so beautiful ❤

    • @OliviaBudgen
      @OliviaBudgen  7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks so much for your comment 😊 transitioning to raw veganism can take time. It's a very big change to make. Raw foods are extremely cleansing so you generally won't feel amazing straight away because your body needs to go through a detoxification process. You also need to eat more when eating more because fruits and veggies are low in calories. I just made a video on how to go raw. Definitely give that a watch if you're interested: th-cam.com/video/-tfhAsMEKz0/w-d-xo.html

    Great effort, I’m transitioning into a raw vegan diet -all except nutritional yeast and vitamins (that I think sometimes use heating meathods to make them). But I think every now and then if I happen to be at a restaurant, then I would have a cooked vegan meal if they didn’t have the raw option, as to not cause any fuss. But that’s just me! Thanks!

    why do you feel cooked foods are less healthy than raw foods? in many cases the cooked food can have higher nutirional value and better absorption. just wondering!

    • @OliviaBudgen
      @OliviaBudgen  7 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      hellogoodbyeapplepie thanks for your question 😊 it's a good one! I believe raw foods (fruits, leafy greens, nuts and seeds) are the perfect foods for humans. Nature provides them for us and there is no need to process them in any way to consume them. Cooking destroys 100% of the biophotons in food. (If you don't know what these are definitely do some research). You're correct, there are certain foods which are easier to digest when cooked, but then I don't believe those foods are necessary or ideal for our bodies. In saying that I believe one can still be very healthy while incorporating suitable cooked foods in their diet 🙏🏻
