Yeah after he said "To be honest, I just made this up" - I knew his goose was cooked. I'm sure he has the followers he says he does - but that doesn't translate over to sales and that's the #1 rule in Shark Tank, you have to have sales.
@@nzelver559 Also it's insane to have ZERO in DTC sales when you are a influencer, the whole point of an influencer is to own the relationship with the customer...
Exactly. This was such a dumb pitch, and I highly doubt he’s that stupid to think any of the sharks were going to work with that valuation…especially if he watches the show the way he said he did.
I'm a financial management student and I know you can't just 'pick a number' when it comes to valuations, it's a whole calculation. P.S: I'm repeating the subject next year 😫 just by how tedious valuations are.
I love tank, but this looks like a very basic board game with an influencer "skin" attached What do you meme and cards against humanity were at least more versatile/unique and had a comedy and game night aspect to it. I can't imagine a lot of people having a game night to play this basic game
@Nintendoshi I kind of like this game but yeah the name of the game sounds cheap…. In the Wild doesn’t go… my first thoughts was… hunting/nature/Tarzan
He’s really successful on social media but there’s virtually no crossover here. Board game fans aren’t gonna play this. His followers aren’t gonna want to play a board game about one of his accounts
People hate influencers in general. People enjoy those in the niches they follow but in general hate influencers. I can’t imagine anyone wanting to or enjoying playing this game
No way! Seriously?? Has that been like officially reported or just rumors?? SharkTank w/out Mark would probably mean the end of this show 😢 I hope it’s not true…
This game will be played one time at best and then put in the closet for the next 20 years after its been bought from a bargain bin store like 5 and below.
so he is a successful influencer (ill take his and the Sharks word for that), but he isnt selling any direct to consumer? isnt that his WHOLE job? Marcs suggestion that he puts his insta handle on the box highlights the fact, that this guy is not the face of his own game.
Or, or, he didnt think of it! lets not over analyze things because you arent a part of the planning . Things that would seem obvious is not always that obvious. Why dont celebrities just call their product whatever their name is since that would automatically identify who is benefiting from whatever product is being made. There are so many products and companies that are the name of the person and they werent famous so it would make sense that george clooney call his tiquila G Clooney but that didnt happen; his face wasnt on the bottle either!
People obsessed with social media and “influencers” spend all their time online virtually. They aren’t gonna want to play a game in the “real world”. He should have had it online.
This board game should have been a Tv/cable reality show game like big brother with real online influencers (or any group of young teens) in on it. The influencers will be changed every season to make it more exciting. It would have gone viral and brought in $$$millions for this guy.
If he has been watching this show since it started and he claims this show got him where he is then he obviously wasn't paying attention and hasn't learned anything to come in with that ask and valuation. I think it was a publicity play.
It's so painful when people who have never played a board game other than Monopoly and Snakes and Ladders try to design a board game in the 21st century. It's like trying to design video games after only playing Pac-Man and Minesweeper.
Minesweeper was created in the 1990's. Your statement is like saying minesweeper shouldn't have been made because more interesting games were made before it.
I think the reason why cards against humanity and what do you meme are huge is because they’re funny. People love to laugh. And you get to create unique combinations where you can infer inside jokes from. And cards are easy to set up and bring with you
He really said that? he based the valuation on his amount of followers?! yet earlier he said he just made it up!! He finally told the truth at the end! just being on Shark Tank was a win win for bim!!!!
this dude was there to plug his instagram and let the world know all the sharks follow him... then he will gain more followers and win his board game!!!
Know your shark, and know your customers. The game should be going around the neighborhood/dorm getting likes for doing things like dancing or giving away candy or something. That's gen Z style.
I looked him up after a few minutes, interested to see who this dude is. He also got a few sharks to give him praise on the show. He probably made bank off of this episode and gained some followers
i don't think his influemcer status or that publicity stunt worked. I recently seen stacks of IITW board games for around 10 bucks at goodwill in Hawaii and we r always a bit behind out here.
Tank missed the fact that many people are annoyed by influencers in the wild and rarely want to become one. The premise of this game seems like a better fit for teens but the medium (board game) is adult.
I think he wanted a deal he’s just a dumdum. The guy genuinely believed his company was worth that much, he also believed he’d sell 1m on day 1, and seemed perplexed by the idea that investors want more than their initial investment back. He needs to hit the books and skip the gym.
I’m sorry but there is no way this game will be making millions… I think the only reason Mark didn’t call him out is because he knew of the huge following he currently has …
I aint ever see someone walk in with a commodity where it's worth $0 and they put 5m valuation on it. How come they didn't let him change what he was asking for lmaoo they do crazy deals all the same
Because there are barely any decisions in the game. You roll and move a random number of spaces. If an app takes care of the rolling and the moving, you can't pretend the player even does anything.
-I've been watching Shark Tank since season one, I've learned everything from it

Lets face it,he really wasn't looking for a deal, and I'm surprised that Mark didn't call him out on it. He just wanted the free publicity.
So why not have both the publicity and a shark?
I don’t think homie really needs the publicity
Exactly. This was such a dumb pitch, and I highly doubt he’s that stupid to think any of the sharks were going to work with that valuation…especially if he watches the show the way he said he did.
I really think he just needed guidance on how business works in general.
Yep. My thoughts exactly
I loved that Mark called out that he didn't watch enough Shark Tank. 5m valuation is nuts
5m valuation is actually nothing...
