I Just Don't Think I'll Ever Get Over You is the most beautifully poignant song ever. Most of us have been there--losing a special love and not able to forget. Best song ever. Thank you, Colin!
I just saw him twice in the last week. Simply two of the most magical evenings I've ever spent. What a gift.
The man has perfect pitch no matter where he sings on the scale or off of it. He is his own scale. Further, let it be said that this may be the finest song crafter alive today. There have been many who have done it well, yes, and they are dear too. But none of them held it as long as Colin. Truly remarkable.
I could listen to him talk about his craft and why he continues to play for hours. We have been blessed with his talent for so many years, and I'm very grateful for it.

This is my favorite version of "Come Tumbling Down." Love Colin Hayes' songwriting & live performances. When he sang with Choir Choir Choir he gave everyone a free concert after, nice guy too!

His second song I have listened to at least 15 times, also on another site. I continue to dissect it for it's brilliance. Here's what I have so far:
-- First the alternate tuning
-- Second, he talks the song more than he sings it as if he is talking directly to someone. Has more impact.
-- Numerous pauses between lyrics gives further dramatic effect.
-- He doesn't begin singing on the 1 chord. Starts on the 2 or 3 ( whatever you call it?) ..even more effect.
-- Of course the great lyrics and just how he puts it all together.
I will probably continue to listen to this song every couple weeks as I still do.
First...what is the alternate tuning?? :)
