i can't find any. i tried everything. i tried going north 1000 blocks, south 1000 blocks, east 1000 blocks, west 1000 blocks. i tried mixing it up. i found 6 bastions and no fortress.
Did you try going 1001 blocks
I had the same problem. I just traveled 1000 blocks on water with a boat and made a new portal. Literally new portal right beside the fortress.
I have the total opposite problem funnily enough. I'm looking for bastions and I've found tonnes of fortresses instead 😭
My nether sucks is there a way to spawn a different one on console?
@@jumbie4972 traveling one block in the overworld is 1/3 of the block in the so if you travel 1000 blocks in the nether you travel 3000 in the overworld of course you're not going anywhere you're going like 300 blocks in the nether compared to 1,000 in the overworld you're wasting time

I would recommend making a gold helmet to wear because it’s cheap and the leggings and chest plate provide lots of defence. The boots will be needed for feather falling because you’re likely to fall.

boots and helmet give the same protection and boots are cheaper + often have better enchants (such as depth strider which dont help in the nether) so youre better off using gold boots
@@questionmarkquestionmarkques They’ll break much quicker though, and having feather falling can be crucial in the Nether.
@@questionmarkquestionmarkques use a gold helmet because it gives you as many armor bars as a iron helmet but gold boots gives you half a bar less

Btw 8 steps in the overworld is 1 step in the nether. You need to travel 1024 blocks/meters to open a new portal or move 128 blocks in the nether before you can make a new portal to end up somewhere random on the surface.

I think the exit portal also needs to be within an non-generated part of the world for the game to create it for you. Otherwise you need to build both sides manually before traveling between them.
@@mrlazycrazy one step in the nether is eight steps in the overworld so yes you got it backwards

I traveled like 2000 blocks and found 3 BASTIONS, and no fortress :/, im starting to jump between striders just to cross some land that keeps coming in the way, and killing the old strider to get the saddle back

when in the f3 menu: red line X axis, blue line Z axis. if youre moving away from the point where all the lines meet youre going in the negative direction of the axis thats parallel with your camera. if youre looking at the point youre going in the positive direction. same with Y but its not as useful

I need help with everything in the nether. Where I spawned in the nether there is a lot of skeletons that shoot me and kill me all the time I be only gone in the portal 3 times and I died almost immediately every time
Build a safe zone around the portal. Make a big box out of cobblestone, for example, and have the entrance/exit be an iron door. That way, your portal will be secure and you will also be safe when you enter the nether.
Go in with enchanted armor that helps a ton

You could technically just make a copy of your main world and just use cheats to find it. Just save the coordinates and load your main back up

I found one and the nether wart was surrounded by lava. Anything I picked would instantly vaporize. Any lava I covered made the rest flow onto the wart. Now I have to find another fortress. It's been over two weeks now. FML
Can you type in commands on xbox 1, or is that only for computers?
If ur on xbox 1 or newer, yes u can. U can go into settings and then controls, and the key bindings, and see which button u need to open chat. Then start writing command with / . Like /give or /tp.
I'm not sure if the /locate command works on consoles tho...

I literally spent a week looking for a fortress. Went in chunkbase and seeder to look but never found one. I eventually gave up and looked in creative……still didn’t find one

You know you can copy your worlds to make sure you still have achievements if you don't want to ruin it by cheating in it and then the same copied world will have the same seed and not be different
