17:30 a great tip with torches in your strip mine! ALWAYS place the torches on the right side. This makes your tunnels mutch more easy to navigate. Because if the torches are on the right you are going foreward and if the torches are on the left side your going back to your exit. This helps me so mutch because I always tend to stripmine in 1 long long long line so I end up running like 3k blocks back. Now I always place them right and when I go back I just have to keep the torches left. And its looks better!

Silk touch mining is great, and for things like Lapis, I'd highly recommend it. However, in other situations, Fortune may still be viable to bring in caves. Usually what I will do is mine up as many ores as I can and as soon as I get more than 1 stack of ore, I compress it into block form. This works with every single material type in the game except for quartz, which you wouldn't get in the overworld, obviously. In general, it may be more efficient than holding onto the silk-touched ores. For example, 64 diamond ore holds at minimum 64 diamonds, and with fortune 3 giving maximum of 4 each, thats 256 diamonds effectively held in 1 slot. However, diamond blocks hold 9 each, which is 576 potential diamonds per slot. Of course, you gotta do the compression manually, but early game this is ideal. Just food for thought. Great video!
So I would have to bring in a crafting table right? But it's nothing compared to the advantage we would get with being able to store 576 ores per slot!

Didn't happen once during this entire video and learned a ton. I recently went to 1.19 after being 'stuck' in the 1.16 update so I didn't know much about the new things and as a result of jumping a few updates there was a ton of new things thrown at me. I will definitely check out other videos of yours.

But can you bring it up to the main stream. With new update. I'll hooked to hear and watch you play a survival Minecraft. Keep up the good work.
0:03 and 1.17 ! It added raw ores, made fortune work on iron and gold, and added moss which as you showed in previous video, can be used to instamine the exposed layer of block caves to exposes hidden ores veins. 1.17 best version 🤩
I came back about 4 months ago and you and jcplayz have literally made the game playable for me. I love building farms and automating everything. The problem was I didn’t even know where to start to even begin manual farming when I came back. You and him have helped not only me but everyone like me. Thank you
Take a composter with you for moss mining (maybe a station with a chest/hopper/composter/hopper/chest). You can get more bonemeal to keep going by bonemealing your moss. I know it's common in minecraft to call branch mining strip mining, but strip mining is when you take the top layers of dirt and stone off to get to the veins below. The minecraft equivalent would be world eaters. I know it can seem pedantic, but if, in real life, everyone goes around thinking strip mining is running around underground and a company comes to town saying they are going to strip mine people are going to be in for a surprise when their entire landscape is ripped up.
Thank you so much. I was about to search for a video exactly like this, and you delivered with a notification in my bell. Thanks so much for the detailed video, I cant wait to go find way more gold and diamonds
I was just gonna skip to the diamond part, but his voice was just so soothing I watched all the way through! Ty for this guide it’s actually really helpful :D
This has been very helpful. I'm use to old mine craft when you use to just dig straight down and found things randomly. I'm impressed by how far this game has come and recently got back into it
I haven't played minecraft in atleast 6 years, and I've been playing again recently on 1.19 bedrock so all your videos have been extremely helpful catching up to all the new stuff in the game
Thanks for all the videos, they have helped me a lot. ive used a lot of your micro farms in my world. I came when you were at 23k subs and to see you hitting 100k already is well earned!
Important to note that all caves below y=-54 get filled with lava so it’s best to strip mine above that so u don’t get covered in lava Also it’s best to use a trapdoor to go into crawl mode and mine a 1x1 strip mine instead of a 1x2 since ur exposing more blocks per block mined and mobs can’t spawn in a 1x1 tunnel
Here I am 13 years later, having to relearn how to mine... Who would have thought? Anyway, Superb video. I'm glad you actually covered techniques as well, since this whole air exposure thing is something that would otherwise be a really difficult thing to remember for me, especially if you consider I have to rid myself of decade old habits. Like prior to this I was playing and realized I can't find diamonds and coal, essentially making smelting and cooking a nightmare and I was sitting in front of my PC looking at my screen and going "Where in God's name is literlly anything remotely useful?" And then it clicked that the updates I literally started a New World for - after last playing in 1.16 - might have changed it, since, I don't know, maybe the whole cave generation was changed? It baffles me how dumb I can be. Anyway, thanks. You convinced me to sub.
For the silk touch part, something that I would recommand is mining nether gold ore with silk touch pickaxe and then burn it in a furnace, it'll give a gold ingot, which is worth 9 golden nugget, while mining a nether gold ore with a fortune 3 pickaxe will "only" give you up to 8 golden nuggets
12:12 I just bring a crafting table and turn everything into blocks (other than iron and gold as they need smelted) I think it saves more room in your inventory and you’re not mining your ores twice with 2 picks
THANKS KING! ive been having such a hard time finding anything because of the new update and ive been playing since i was little LMAO, so this was incredibly helpful
It does, but only if they are very Rare like Ancient Debris, as they still generate randomly in Chunks. So, if you are looking for Deepslate Ores, the best place to find them is along a 2x3 Horse Path along Chunk Borders at Y 2,3, & 4 under Mountains. While this is not the best Level to find most of the Deepslate Ores, it is the best place to find Deepslate Coal, and Deepslate Emeralds still generate there under Mountain Biomes as well. And if you can Automate a few Geode Clusters within Range nearby, you can use the Horse Paths to later set up a Rail Collection System for them. And use Silk Touch to Mine them with if you want the Deep Slate varieties. Or just set up a Beacon and clear the whole area. Then you can check for Slime Chunks as well, lol.
@@_Abjuranax_ These are definitely good advices, and I shall put them to the test. Since the cave update, I'm really struggling with mining. Before that, all you had to do is go down Y11, put a beacon there, and quickly gather anything you need by waving your pickaxe towards anything it can touch (and easily locate slime chunks in the process). But with the deepslate, we can kiss the speed-mining goodbye. And the new ore distribution makes it impossible to find every types on the same level. Yeah, I know: that's the intent. But that deepslate is killing me.
Thank you since caves and cliffs came I was so confused where to find diamonds to the point where I have only a few diamonds and this vid has been the most helpful in understanding where to mine
I just opened Minecraft and created a new world (haven't played since 1.16). I was mining at Y12 and was not finding ANYTHING lol. Glad I looked this up and found your video, I had no idea we had negative Y now!! XD
Thank you very much! I was so confused when I have started to play on 1.19 and couldn't find as much resources as I could in previous versions of 1.18 :( Mining is my favourite thing to do in minecraft and I'll definetly check these coordinates out :)
Literally havent played since 1.14- so this helps a lot! Just started a new world 3 days ago, made a quick iron farm and now I think im ready for diamonds >:D
This isn't much related to the video, but some people say that they miss how simple minecraft was before. I understand how they feel, but for me I like the stuff that have been added recently. More dangers, huge caves (although sometimes annoying trying to find your way back out), and just many new biomes. If I ever get bored of the newer versions I can just go back to an older version at any time
Reduced air exposure *does* apply to water caves, contrary to what you said in the lapis segment. So water caves are a great place to find reduced air exposure ores.
I must have said that wrong in the videos, I did mean that water filled caves are a great place to mine. Also I saw this comment and was like is that actually seaofpixels? and yea it is lol :)
I know i was late but i have to say dude, i loved this video. Besides the content that is very useful, especially the way you pass the information. You demonstrate visually very well everything you are talking about. Dude it's perfect, the editing is also great: The cuts at the right times, the background music was excellent. I thank you for the content, it was amazing.
I was waiting for someone to make this video, specially removing the stone and other common blocks to actually see ore distribution in lower levels. Really cool video
Been playing minecraft for around 10 years and usually I’m really informed on updates but I strayed a little from mc recently and so wasn’t all up to date with 1.19 features etc. Found this guide insanely useful and I’m prolly gonna watch it many more times 😂 🙏
When I mine diamonds I usually go to Y coordinate level -54 and one time gathered two stacks of 64 diamonds with (obviously) using Fourtune III pickaxe strip mining. What the -54 coordinate level essentially means is whenever I come across lava the lava will always be on the floor as opposed to the ceiling or the front. However, this is using the strip mining method which means there will be times where one might come across the deep terraria-like corruption biome, the troll will spawn in and kill you. So yea, that's another good method I found for strip mining but it has its downsides as well like I said with the warden spawning in and killing you.
Watched another video that recommended Y being at 8 for the best Iron. Went to 8 and tunneled and found nothing. Watched this video that recommends Y 15, so I tried that. A few blocks into tunneling I found a large chunk of iron. Thanks dude.
I would love to get a full view/picture of this chart, that would be very handy. I was inda missing a link for that in the description, overall very informative and amazing video. Watched some other guides as well, so consider me subbed. Keep up the good work!
Correct me if I am wrong, but I think ores, and everything else is "spawns" when a chunk is loaded the first time. Slicing it up will not generate additional ores. The air exposure rule kicks in once and then everything is there and no ore is generated after
Strip mining and branch mining are 2 different things. Strip mining is where you strip everything out, whereas branch mining is what you are referring to as strip mining.
So I keep getting confused on which is Java and which is bedrock edition and the difference. Could you do a video on that. Because I usually play Minecraft on my Xbox one series s

I recently went to 1.19 after being 'stuck' in the 1.16 update so I didn't know much about the new things and as a result of jumping a few updates there was a ton of new things thrown at me. I will definitely check out other videos of yours.
These are the best videos I’ve watched , you explain everything in great detail and get right to the point, it’s always easy to follow along with your videos while trying to accomplish a task, keep it up!!!
I appreciate that! I definitely will!
Actually the main reason I watch your video is because of you soothing voice. It's so calm. Thanks dude. Just a suggestion I know you have a let's play series. But can you bring it up to the main stream. With new update. I'll hooked to hear and watch you play a survival Minecraft. Keep up the good work.
Thanks very much man. I’ve had so many struggles trying to mine for diamonds and I had no clue about the chunk finder. This was a very big help
0:03 and 1.17 ! It added raw ores, made fortune work on iron and gold, and added moss which as you showed in previous video, can be used to instamine the exposed layer of block caves to exposes hidden ores veins.
1.17 best version 🤩
Straight to the point and informative. Love it :)
Tip : I recommend playing some musics while you’re mining so you don’t go insane because the cave sounds, silence, stress.
Just found your channel. Getting back into Minecraft after a year or two hiatus and WOW they changed a lot. Your videos are very helpful
Holy crap thank you for this. I was kinda lost after the Caves and Cliffs so this is very helpful!
No problem!
I was just gonna skip to the diamond part, but his voice was just so soothing I watched all the way through! Ty for this guide it’s actually really helpful :D
Bro, That's what I needed thank you so much Man! And quality of the content is getting better day by day!
Glad to hear it!
This has been very helpful. I'm use to old mine craft when you use to just dig straight down and found things randomly. I'm impressed by how far this game has come and recently got back into it
Y-58 diamonds
Y 15 more iron
Y -1 Lapis
Y -16 gold
Y -58 red stone
Yup
Thanks
Thanks
I haven't played minecraft in atleast 6 years, and I've been playing again recently on 1.19 bedrock so all your videos have been extremely helpful catching up to all the new stuff in the game
I also started again recently, my survival skills have gone extremely down
Since the big part of coal generation has reduced air exposure, wouldn't it be better to find coal under snowy peaks with a shovel ?
In that cases yes finding it by eye isn't possible, oops ^^
No because the distribution of coal you find in mountains doesn't have reduced air exposure, only the lower coal distribution has that
@@Eyecraftmc ah right, thanks !
Just wanna say that your channel help a lot for newbie like me. The explanation just straight to the point. New subscriber right here!
This is super useful. Thanks. I skipped 1.17 and 1.18 as I wanted a more full experience.
Glad it helped!
I skipped since 1.14
Thanks for all the videos, they have helped me a lot. ive used a lot of your micro farms in my world. I came when you were at 23k subs and to see you hitting 100k already is well earned!
Important to note that all caves below y=-54 get filled with lava so it’s best to strip mine above that so u don’t get covered in lava
Also it’s best to use a trapdoor to go into crawl mode and mine a 1x1 strip mine instead of a 1x2 since ur exposing more blocks per block mined and mobs can’t spawn in a 1x1 tunnel
I deal with this pretty easily: go to spectator mode, make sure i'm safe from lava.
@@JadeIsBunny that's cheating.
@@based854 Don't you mean "cheats have to be enabled for that"? Am I talking to a child?
@@JadeIsBunny Thats cheating

Here I am 13 years later, having to relearn how to mine... Who would have thought?
Anyway, Superb video. I'm glad you actually covered techniques as well, since this whole air exposure thing is something that would otherwise be a really difficult thing to remember for me, especially if you consider I have to rid myself of decade old habits.
Like prior to this I was playing and realized I can't find diamonds and coal, essentially making smelting and cooking a nightmare and I was sitting in front of my PC looking at my screen and going "Where in God's name is literlly anything remotely useful?"
And then it clicked that the updates I literally started a New World for - after last playing in 1.16 - might have changed it, since, I don't know, maybe the whole cave generation was changed?
It baffles me how dumb I can be. Anyway, thanks. You convinced me to sub.
Ok let’s be honest. Who’s gonna go mining for copper? 😂😂😂
Wait till 1.21 @elliotkim174. Copper grates, doors, trapdoors, trial chambers, you get it.
Me
Me
Anyone butt me
Not me copper sucks
Moss mining is something I didn’t think of or heard of, so thanks for tip of that! It’ll definitely make mining easier
I believe water submerged caves count as “reduced air exposure” and they are easy to navigate as well as find diamonds in
For the silk touch part, something that I would recommand is mining nether gold ore with silk touch pickaxe and then burn it in a furnace, it'll give a gold ingot, which is worth 9 golden nugget, while mining a nether gold ore with a fortune 3 pickaxe will "only" give you up to 8 golden nuggets
What commands did you use to get rid of the stone and deepslate but leave the ores?! That's so cool! I'd love to play around with that in my world.
its /fill replace or something replace stone grass dirt deepslate water lava granite andesite diorite with air
@@poggersman3346 awesome, thanks!
I was literally digging down to strip mine for diamonds and u made this. also love the new editing! it really makes your videos look better
Haven't even seen it yet but this guy makes incredibly informational guides so I know it will be very dandy to use
Thanks!
12:12 I just bring a crafting table and turn everything into blocks (other than iron and gold as they need smelted) I think it saves more room in your inventory and you’re not mining your ores twice with 2 picks
Very helpful video they are amazing keep it up
Thanks, will do!
2:38 Tip: You can use chunkbase to find dripstone caves
For diamonds, my personal favourite level is y-54. It's like the og y11, where your on level with lava lakes
True
THANKS KING! ive been having such a hard time finding anything because of the new update and ive been playing since i was little LMAO, so this was incredibly helpful
Glad I could help
In your experiment, did you notice a significant increase of ore veins near chunk borders, like the ancient debris in the nether?
No I didn't find that to be the case
@@Eyecraftmc Damn it. I was afraid you'd say no, but I hoped you'd say yes. So much for cheap mining trick. Thanks for the reply!
Coal, 136 or 95, Stoney peeks, extreme hills
Copper, 48, Dripstone biome
Iron, - 64 to 70,
(Most at 16)(Veins - 8 to - 64)
Diamond, 15 - -64,
(Best at - 58)
Best higher level: 8
Best lower level : -58 (Redstone,Dia,Iron,Gold)
I just opened Minecraft and created a new world (haven't played since 1.16). I was mining at Y12 and was not finding ANYTHING lol. Glad I looked this up and found your video, I had no idea we had negative Y now!! XD
Is Minecraft starting to be a little too complex?
Im just mining for diamond. Everything else can be made in farms.
@@longba3868yeah but u still need lots of resources to build them
Yea a little
Thank you very much! I was so confused when I have started to play on 1.19 and couldn't find as much resources as I could in previous versions of 1.18 :( Mining is my favourite thing to do in minecraft and I'll definetly check these coordinates out :)
Is the same for the bedrock version?
The visual of the snapshot, but built in the game itself, is really nice. Also cool seeing all the ores isolated in the world generation
Fun fact de rarest ore is deepslate coal😄
Deepslate emerald
Lot of info in this, and the visual graphs were awesome. Well done!
First
Great, straight to the point and very informative video. Also you have a very calming voice, which sounds like pure asmr.
Literally havent played since 1.14- so this helps a lot! Just started a new world 3 days ago, made a quick iron farm and now I think im ready for diamonds >:D
best minecraft tutorial i've seen so far, nice job!
Wow, thanks!
This isn't much related to the video, but some people say that they miss how simple minecraft was before. I understand how they feel, but for me I like the stuff that have been added recently. More dangers, huge caves (although sometimes annoying trying to find your way back out), and just many new biomes. If I ever get bored of the newer versions I can just go back to an older version at any time
wow. i was in my mc world tryna get diamonds as soon as possible and went to -58 started strip mining and got diamonds instantly ty so much!
@@Eyecraftmc Always nice to be recognised, great video!
This guy deserves way more watches, probably the best minecraft youtuber I've seen!
Appreciate you bro. Haven't played MC since 2013 (had my account since 2010) and your videos have helped me catch up. So much has changed :D
Nah, no one should have such a relaxing voice, like it's not even fair
I was waiting for someone to make this video, specially removing the stone and other common blocks to actually see ore distribution in lower levels. Really cool video
Thank you so much for making this video. I’ve been struggling to find diamonds after the most recent Minecraft update.
Just hopped back into minecraft and this was insanely helpful! thanks for the video 🍻
I love these tutorials and your voice is soothing
So good ! This is high quality content !
Amazing editing, straight to the point, very informative. This is a great video!
Thank you, always seeing videos of people using fortune picks and mining for them to see what lvl is better
This is really helpful
Great video, packed full of info I've never learned from others' videos.
Been playing minecraft for around 10 years and usually I’m really informed on updates but I strayed a little from mc recently and so wasn’t all up to date with 1.19 features etc. Found this guide insanely useful and I’m prolly gonna watch it many more times 😂 🙏
12:25 What? How would you get more lapis from mining it later, instead of just mining it right there using fortune?
you're my go to for minecraft knowhow thanks for all the hard work you put into your vids such a huge help :)
This video made me subscribe, been watching a lot of your videos and started being a go to for information. Thanks
Thank you very much mr.Eyecraftmc, last MC version i played was 1.9 so this video helped me a ton!
Incredibly informative, well-researched video. Great work man!
Absolutely incredible video. I love your chill and relaxed tone when you explain all of this shit. It makes super clear and concise, thank you.
Your voice is so good and soothing!
