Thank you for showing us how you do conchomancy. It is so cool to see how you can assign meanings to each seashell. It's fascinating to see how different forms of divination work.
Awesome! I've been trying different things. The Mermaid Oracle has a conchomancy card and it's fascinating there is some Germanic heritage to it. I went to the beach today and collected some. Thanks so much for your amazing video! Can't wait to get started.
So I looked up shell typed and called my mom to bring my childhood collection of shells to me. Who knew I would have a use for them other than collecting dust in a box in my parents basement. Then as you did I looked at different types of shells, their characteristics, gave them one of the 78, direction, a month, season,a cartomacy of of the 53, astrology sign, color, meaning to the names, a counter Rune name, ect....so we will see how it goes!
I came in from charmed intuition tarot ❤️🥰🐚 I do oracle tarot charms & shell readings aswell, my table is actually full of shells today I just took a video of them I had them all in my alter!! Then I came across this video I love it ❤️🌊🐚 I’m very into water and beach and nature, my whole bathroom is beachy theme & covered in shells lol!! I was also thinking on trying sea glass as well :) xo
This is so awesome! Came in from Charmed Intuition Channel. I love how all of these have meanings to them and how amazing and beautiful they are! This is so unique and amazing! Thank you for sharing! 🥰
Yess thank you charmed intuition!!! I have so many seashells, i love the sea so much, I cant wait to practice this!! I wish i lived by the sea, so i could get more unique shells!!
I absolutely love this!!!! Thank you for sharing! I've recently started doing intuitive painting and reading them after. I'm still in the learning phase, but it has been a super fun journey.
Intuitive painting sounds freakin’ awesome!🎨 My friend Ouassimagik turned her intuitive paintings into an oracle deck. I love seeing all the various ways we can derive meaning & messages from the natural world & our creative talents💖
@@KittensWeightsandTarot I too have just started putting mine together for an Oracle deck. But this is also a great way to release emotions. Using it as a therapeutic tool has been huge in my souls growth too!
You may want to pull a few of your favorites and really get to know each one's energy. You can journal keywords or connections you make with each seashell. Take you time with them and I think you'll eventually feel comfortable enough reading with them
Hey thanks for this video. I've been putting off trying to read my shells cuz i don't really pick up anything but a vague feeling from each that I can't quite place. But i think hearing you and feeling your energy in your voice and how it just fits with the meaning you give to your shells, it really opened me up. I don't think I'll ever be able to have keywords for each of my shells but that's OK. You just helped me figure out how I can use mine in my own vague weird way. About the different things I read, it happens in cycles. Few weeks back it was trees, few days back it was songs (I found myself humming bulletproof whenever I was trying to make up my mind about trusting someone again 😁)... And guess now it's time for conchomancy! Yaaaay!
I definitely have tools that I use that come in cycles as well. For awhile I tend to get stuck on Runes, then it was reading nature, reading with stones, etc. I think it's totally okay to go from one thing to another. Intuition is a very non-tangible thing that we try to place onto tangible objects. Good luck with your Conchomancy
i actually use many (many) buttons in my charm casting and even pieces of fabric... thats the most common thing in my family's house. i think you always use the things closest to home.
Aren't seashells so much fun?! What I think is cool, is that a walk along the beach might mean a new seashell discovery that you might be able to add to your group of reading shells
Hii I am a tarot and oracle card reader online and I'm doing research on water magic and conchomancy reading because I feel might i specialize more. Thank you so much because of people like you sharing it I can research and learn more about it. I am having shells around, also wrote words into most them but connecting to them isn't so easy for me yet... I know a few but I don't know how to work with them yet so I am enjoying some researching on this journey. I love it soich, every day I am doing sea meditations and watch videos about this topic since half a week. Started with the shells end last year. Looking forward to it completely to learn more!! I am wondering about a conchomancy reading!! 🥰🥰 Thank you
@@KittensWeightsandTarot I wanted to share with you an old deck you may like... It is an underrated deck on sea shells. I just checked and it is still available on the web. The author is michelle Hanson . I have it in French, there are 200 cards with differents sea shells on them...
Beautiful pastel nails 💅 so so ostara pretty 💕❤️🙏❤️💕 love them - and thank you for sharing this I never thought of reading shells and now I have to make a set cuz the ocean is my home ✨⭐💛⭐✨
Yay, you noticed my Ostara nails! The lady at the salon was just filling our little table with all these nail polishes, lol! Definitely try reading with your seashells; I love the "type" of reading they give
Hey girl! I'm in San Diego too! I also go to PIFA! I'm Filipino and my stepdad is Chamorro lol I'm a tarot reader and crystal ball/flame scryer and have been getting lots of messages to pick up Conchomancy because I am so connected to the ocean as well. I do sea magick and communicate with the spirit of the shells and I just learned about conchomancy recently. Super helpful video! Thank you 🙏💜
Thank you for making this video. I have the mermaids Oracle cards and I am being called to learn conchomancy. I love Yemaya, ( Goddess and mother of the seven seas) as I was born and raised in a fishermen town; water was all around me all the time, every single day, therefore I feel her as a strong mother to me. Luckily, on my last trip to the island, I picked up a whole bag of shelves. Question, how many shelves do you use ? Is there a specific number or can I make it up ?
I didn't have a specific number of shells in mind when I chose the ones I needed to read with. I think you pull a few that you really connect with, write down your intuitions about them, & keep adding shells until you feel like your messages would be complete with the lot that you have. I am so excited to hear about your conchomancy journey with your new shells
I am not sure what I am called to as a virgo I feel all over the earth not just one thing I feel connected to all things earth. I do really like plants and grounding my feet in the grass but this i also find so interesting so thank-you for posting this and teaching! 🌿🌿 I am wondering how many there are supposed to be in order to do a proper reading? Say I only have 3 shells that I have assigned 3 meanings but I am limited in my reading to those 3. I'm not sure if you know what I mean but I hope so lol
I think we all have some form of each of the elements within, even if they are to varying degrees. Therefore, an earth sign can definitely work with water energy; it might even help to create balance. You don't need a certain number of seashells. You can have those three speak to you so that you can gain more intel beyond the applied meanings you assigned. Much love on your conchomancy journey
Of course :o) I have cowrie shells from a friend that uses them for divination/ conchomancy, but I never learned to read with them all that well. I still think they are great to have & work with, though
I love to try others systems of divination..I'll try scrabble divination with the tiles and the numbers on the tiles with numerology.I have some shells that I found ..I'll give a try..thanks for your inspiration. Namaste.
Thank you so much for the suggestion🤍 I appreciate seeing how others read, while keeping in mind that it is our duty to understand fully the voice of our intuition. Much love, and thanks for watching🙏🏼🐚💕
You tuned into each one of them and let them speak to you and assigned meanings. That's such beautiful, solid work. Well, don't different types of seashells have textbook meanings to them just as in tarot cards? Do you go by those too?
I suppose there are some textbook meanings on certain seashells, but I use them more as oracles and what my intuition shows me. I don't assign a pre-created structure with them, although I have seen some other ways of working with them as such, that seems really cool
My notebook is now in somewhere my storage since I have moved. I basically sat with each seashell and took down notes with how it made me feel, what tarot card I would personally associate with it, and any other thoughts that popped up in correlation with the seashell. From there, I did a few readings for myself and friends until I got comfortable with my personal seashells
I’m just getting started in throwing obi with conch shells. how many shells are needed for conchomancy? Just started a journal for conchomancy. Where might I find more info on conchomancy?
I think the number of shells is up to you. I never really found any in-depth resources on conchomancy; I just went & did it myself. Choose a number of shells that feels right to you, ascribe some meanings to each shell (journal it as well), then get acquainted with how you'd like yo read them. The fun is that you get to create it yourself
I'ma psychic and I read with tarots but something keeps drawing me towards seashells and water!! This is not my original YT I use this to be my self lmao
